I'll have to start getting more creative with those reply cards.

If my guests start searching and book online then i wont be able to keep my contract. Then we are the ones getting screwed, yet we were originally trying to save everyone money. I am not sure why its so much more through the TA. The online site offer discounts for flight and hotel but the TAs dont do this.. I dont understand why, it seems this is where the travel sites are able to save people money. I am not sure what to do here, drop room block down and hope i get at least 10 rooms booked or what.. $500 is too much of a difference! I dunno what to do, anyone else run into this?? Maybe you need a different TA? My guests have shopped around & no one found better prices. But, my guests are booking package deals. I'm not doing a room block. i told everyone not to waste their time with expedia, etc, but a lot of people checked there anyway. I got several emails telling me I was right, the TA was the way to go.

Frankly, as long as the idea of sex isn't off-putting (ie., you dread it) you're fine. If you're really concerned talk to your Dr about it. She can change your BC, take you off of hormone BC (read: switch to condoms). [bTW, I went off the pill and switched to condoms and nearly killed FI with my renewed interest.] If in point of fact you're turned off by the idea, there may be some imbalance that can easily be corrected with a change in BC or other hormone replacement, but your Dr can tell you for sure. a friend of mine did this too & it was an instant fix. But, she broke out really bad & had some other problems without the pill. I think it's very common.

I think there was a thread about this. Has it always been an issue for you or just after time together?

As the girl ( I do have a sister but she has been estranged from the family for years) I have always gotten alot of attention from my parents. Maybe it just seems like more attention to an older kid becuase babies need so much more? Wow! That's a lot of brothers. I just have the 1 brother.

No judge available for 2009????
rodent replied to jammies1234's topic in Destination Weddings in Dominican Republic
I think they mean they don't contact them this far in advance. I was trying to schedule my june wedding in july. I was told I couldn't schedule it because the judges don't start schduleing that far out. I told her it was just symbolic so she was able to put me on the schedule. -

I love tea! my friend has tons of tea cups she inherited from her grandma. It's so funny because she lives in a little grad student duplex & would not be having formal dinner parties. So we had a party where everyone took shots out of tea cups.

Diamond White vs. White

They are good about customizing orders, and they do have an "off white" version of the pants I want for them, so I'm going to ask if they can do the shirts in that same color and material. The off white that the guy is wearing in the pic looks like what I am imagining for the Maggie Diamond White. I NEED to be more worried about how I'm going to fit into this dress without putting somebody's eye out. I haven't gotten to Mike's shirt yet, but I was hoping to find something similar to to color of mine. I need to spend a weekend shopping for his wedding clothes. He needs an entire vacation wardrobe. If I leave it up to him, he'll be in his torn up korn t-shirt from high school or something else with holes in it. He doesn't shop for clothes. -

Diamond White vs. White

They are selling them to brides who probabaly recently got a diamond they can't stop looking at. this is probably the color of my dress. it's called ivory, but it's somewhere between ivory & white. I guess thats diamond white. Mike wants to wear "pure, snowy white because he is angelic" he says. He says he wants a white shirt & white pants too. I'll get him some angel wings while I'm at it. -

Getting "married" before DW?
rodent replied to AmandaR's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
there is lots of info about this on the forum. be careful with your name change. Your passport has to match your travel ticket. But, I think you mean you would change it after. -

Now that I know the animals are not slaughtered just for plates, I don't think it's a bad practice. But, I do think it's gross. I don't like the idea of drinking out of a cup made from a bone.

My mom has been wanting me to get this project done since Christmas. This weekend I've been checking off things on my piles of to-do lists, so I finally got it done. When I was born, my mom took a picture of me in the crib. She noticed when she got the film developed that my brother was in the picture. The sad look on his face is priceless. He thought that the baby was going to get all the love & was so jelous. He recently went to Alcatraz & took a picture behind bars. He looks just like that sad little boy. Mom wanted me to make them into one picture. I'm giving them both a copy.

What about "I came to _______ (Mexico or where ever your wedding is) for a wedding & all I got was this stupid T-shirt?" Its fun to have shirts from places you've been.

My mom is a junior high teacher. I called her the other day & she was "making flower pens." She sent me a picture so I knew what she was talking about. She gave a bouquet of these to another teacher as a thank you. They are pens with fake flowers taped on using green florest tape. She said they are good because they keep kids from stealing your pens. They can't pretend like they didn't realize what they were doing. I thought the teachers would be interested in this. It would also be a cute gift for a kid to give their teacher.
