I did vistaprint postcards for my STDs. Guests loved them. www.vistaprint.com/minicatalog that's the link I always use for coupons & free uploads (they say $2.50, but I never get charged). also, even slow shipping arrives in about 2 weeks. Just making a cheap thing even cheaper. You saw my invites today. They were also very inexpensive & my guests loved them too. What didn't work about your dreams cancun postcards? I saw on the other post they didn't look good. Was it resoultion? I might be able to help you solve it. You could also come up with a modified boarding pass invite that uses vistaprint's 4x8 invitation. A cheaper version of the boarding pass invite. Just put them in a long envelops that opens on the end. I think it would be really cute & not expensive.

It says "sorry not available in your country." I figured that would happen. I learned they block shows to other countries when my friend moved to london. I hadn't thought about that before.

Bamboo Arch/CHuppa...Is it worth it?

Ferret pics I imagined it would be around $800. I am using just the ocean as my backdrop. With such beautiful scenery I don't feel the need to add to it. I think the inspiration pics are beautiful, I just prefer to save the money. the ceremony will still be beautiful without it. It will look good in wedding pics, but my favorite wedding pics are rarely the ceremony ones. So to me it's just not worth it. I'm working with a little budget though so $800 is a lot. -

I just want us to figure out how much it is going to roughly cost and look at ways we can save some money along the way. He had got stuck on my asking him to come up with a rough number for what we are spendind on gas. He knows the gas-guzzling SUV is a sore spot with me. We decided to drop the side-trip to Toronto to watch a ball game that he wanted, find economical motels for the 2 nights we need to stay on the drive to and from Ontario and to cut a few projects we had planned for around the house this summer. I think he finally got where I was coming from, that the big picture is the wedding next April, and that I am not some crazy woman constantly worrying about money. Thank you for the support and advice. I am definitely going to see if I can find those books at the library. I love Suze Orman too, also a bit hooked on Til Debt do Us Part on Slice TV. What is slice TV? Sounds like a show I'd like. I also podcast "simply money." I find financial stuff to be fun. Some people hate talking about it more than anything. Our first vacation together was to new orleans. I was stressed the entire time about money we were spending. I never live it up on vacation & with all the eatting out it can get expensive. We hadn't been together long & didn't know how to really communicate with each other. It was tense. We just needed to work on things together & we have. I've losened up too. It wasn't all him at all. We went to London last year & we are such a team now one spending & saving. It's great to see how we evolved. We never could have done that peacefully if we were still the same as our new orleans trip. I also do not like gas guzzlers, but he has a big truck. Before he bought it I tried to talk him in to something smaller. But, it's what he wants. I just have to not think about the gas because it's out of my control. And he has moved my stuff so many times that I do benefit from him having a truck. My worrying about money all the time probably annoyed him at first. Now he really appreciates & respects that about me. But, I am also not as annoying as I was before. He always says sweet things about how much he loves that I'm keeping our wedding cheap.

They terrify me, so I love looking at pictures of whales. Maybe it's like people loving the thrill of a rollercoaster. I get my thrills easy

This is why this boggles my mind that someone whose life was impacted by bad financial habits is so adverse to budgeting. I do not want to be the one that is always the "bad" guy constantly planning, deciding budgets, saying no, hell, we're supposed to work as a team here. I am going to head to the book store today to see if I can find that book. Amazon.com: For Richer Not Poorer: The Newlywed's Financial Survival Guide: Deborah Wilburn: Books It's less than $2 used. I got it from my local library. It wasn't the best book I've ever read or anything, but it addresses finance & marriage directly. Amazon.com: Personal Finance For Dummies, 5th edition: Eric Tyson: Books This is my favorite finance book. I also watch Suze Orman a lot. I haven't read any of her books, but I've heard women & money is really good. People think about money really differently. My situation was similar to your husbands, but my brother & I are savers. I also watched my mom be really strong & digg herself out of a hole. I think you are ahead of the game because you are thinking about this now before you get married. Sometimes both people have their head in the sand & don't talk about it until it's a problem. The thing that worried me the most when Mike & I started dating was that we would never see eye to eye on finances. We are very compatible now. There were some rough times, but I'm glad we talked or fought about it to end up fixing things instead of letting the problem build.

There are some helpful books on money & marriage. I read "for richer not poorer" when we first got engaged for us to start making a plan of how to join our money. I'm a saver. Mike used to be a spender, but he has become a saver. I've become less of an extreme saver. So we found our happy medium. Money is so emotional, but you can find a solution. It just takes some work & time. Some friends of ours had the spender/ saver problem too. They started an allowance system & it really worked. The spender has also become a saver & is all wrapped up in learning about finances.

3 weeks is still faster than most. The editing does take a while. They shot the pictures RAW & then have to sharpen them, fix the lighting, etc.

I get in anyway, but it takes me a while to relax. And if I feel anything nibble i get freaked out. I haven't been snorkeling, but I'm going while we are in RM. I'm actually pretty scared. I think I'm afraid of fish. I get chills when I watch underwater nature shows. I'm also scared just seeing a picture of a whale. But, it makes me really want to go whale watching. Like this, gives me goosebumps: And I've watched this video so many times & it still freaks me out Killer Whale and Kayak - AOL Video

I can go to the church, restaurant and parents house to set up and make sure everything is ready to go. I'm not sure if this will save you any money, but it will hopefully put your mind at rest for the day knowing someone is there to oversee that everything runs smoothly. Seriously, let me know. We love us some Glenda around here! I like the idea of lunch & then just dessert at home. You also wouldn't need tables & chairs then. -
