I know you claim it was just o'douls, but nibblets said you gave him some Fursty Ferret. We both know that is strong stuff. -

He always opens the box & climbs inside knocking out all the cracker jacks. I really don't get it. It's not like the temporary tattoo will stick to his fur. -
How many do you have to do? It's expensive to hire a calligrapher. I just bought some $2.50 calligraphy markers & me & a couple of friends did all of mine. We followed a guide on the internet. it really wasn't hard & we made it fun. I only did 1 envelope (no inner envelope). I had about 75 invites. I made address labels that matched my invites for my return address. You can see my envelopes on my BDW blog linked below. I do feel like hand written gives it a personal touch. It was much easier than I expected, but then I only had 75.

Overstock.com e-ring?
rodent replied to LadyP's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Diamond Education This might help. I think the main thing to avoid is something that can be seen with the naked eye. If it takes magnification to see it, who cares. Atleast I wouldn't. Also if you don't find a diamond ring you like in your price range that is the quality you want, you can check out other stones. Sapphires come in blue, pink, yellow & white & are much less expensive than diamonds. -

Have to teach Nibblet the difference between right and wrong, you know... don't let him have too many hotdogs this time. also, make sure he chews them. Even though he can swallow them whole & still have room for them in his long belly, it's not good for him. I'll give you a list of numbers incase there is an emergency. -

They said it happened at her Bahamas house so maybe an onlooker spilled the beans? She must have signed a pre-nup...people got the ring story wrong so perhaps that's wrong too. After all those interviews about being afraid to lose her $$ I doubt she would make such a careless mistake...in her right mind anyway! it was like SNL on nickelodeon All That - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I remembered his name from that so i googled to see if it was the same person.

This is where I'm getting Mike's ring. Lower price doesn't always mean lower quality. Tungsten is an industrial grade metal & a simple tungsten ring doesn't need to cost $200. -
17 carats? I just don't get it. I didn't realize he still had a career. I just remember him as the kid on All That.

my concern was the maintenence of all those stones. I would worry it would always be at the jeweler getting a stone replaced. If you buy from heltzberg, you can get the repair plan. I might get mike's ring from overstock, but it will be a tungsten band with no stones. -

That is the order I am planning. I had to do this a few years ago to get an NC license. They wouldn't take my old ss card because it didn't have my full middle name. So we made a day of SS office & DMV. It was memorable. It really was a terrible day. The SS office took forever because the clerk had 4 inch nails (they were the curly kind). Then I almost failed the DMV test (I didn't know anything about driving in snow & the NC point system). Then the lady doing my paperwork hit on mike. This time I'll take a good book for all the waiting. It's really a shame because my old license picture was actully pretty good I hope I can finalize the plans tomorrow so I can do this on Monday. I need to take time off to vote in the primaries so I figure I might as well have one big day of paperwork.

Also I wouldn't recommend changing your name before the wedding because you will have to order a new passport. Would I need a new passport? Does the passport have to match anything else? I thought the passport just needed to match my ticket (which it does now). I checked for a friend going to my wedding & the license & passport do not need to match. You don't need ot take the license on the trip. Maybe I should just get a new license. Just two trips to the DMV is not appealing.

When I saw the title I got excited thinking you have a ferret.

I do have some other IDs. I have a student photo ID with my picture. I'll check to see if there is a deal where I could get a license now with this name & then a new one in a couple months with the other. I definitly don't want any problems. I think we'll do a margarita toast. Get in the mood for mexico I will call the SS people, DMV & other's I'm sure. I'll post what I find out. I'm just happy to finally be getting this legal buiness together.

I don't think my mom's SS card & license match. That's in Texas. I wish it wasn't already after hours, because I'd like to call some places.

Congrats! What a great idea for motivation. -
I just found out the details for what we need to do to make it legal. This is in North Carolina & varies by the state you are in, but I thought people might find it helpful to see what it takes. We have to go to the "Register of Deeds" first. We need an ID, social security card & $50 in cash. Then we go across the street to the judicial clerk. That is $20 & they have limit hours for a marriage. It's 11:00-11:30 & 3:00-3:30. We will also need two witnesses. We'll probably head downtown some day this month around 10am to start the process. I'd also like to take some pictures on the courthouse steps. I bought a cute little white dress. Afterwards we will head to eat Mexican food with our witnesses (a husband & wife we are friends with). Then it's Mike & Morgan time after that. I don't want to make a big deal about the legal day, but I still want to make it special. You can ignore this part. I went ahead & got a new drivers license & I'm waiting to change my name until we get back. OK now my name change questions. I recently lost my driver's license so I need another. I'm trying to figure out if I can just get the license with my married name since I'll be married a week or two later. I would have to change my social security card first. I should probably call the DMV & the register of deeds again tomorrow. I really want to figure this out, because I'd like to go get my new license Monday. My passport will stay in my current name which is what my airline ticket is under. I will not change that until we get back from mexico. Anyone have tips for the name change stuff?

my cousin is prego and she is my bridesmaid
rodent replied to cessyboston's topic in Random Thoughts
Something with an empire waste & flowy fabric would look good. Plus she wouldn't have to alter it to fit her belly. Jessica Alba has been wearing some really cute dresses with her baby bump I would check with her to see if she feels comfortable flying at 5 months. My friend is not going because she will be 5 months along. Its her first pregnancy & she is just wanting to be really cautious. She isn't worried about the flight as much as having a complication out of the country. When she told me she was pregnant I made sure to make it really clear that I wouldn't be the least bit upset if she can't make it. She had actually stopped trying so she could make it to the wedding & that's when it happened. I was thrilled!
