  1. my friend suggested veet to me. It's a spray on foam that you leave on for 3 minutes. then you "shave" the hair off with a bladeless razor. it worked great. No pain doing it & no irritation afterwards.
  2. I think depends how much you have to pay per print. I'd atleast send one to the parents & grandparents. We just did snapshots with a friend so we sent everyone the pictures through shutterfly. They could order whatever they wanted. Then I made a photobook for our moms & gmas.
  3. great, I will add your reviews once you get the dress. I emailed all of these for price quotes on 2 wedding dresses & a BM dress.
  4. I thought it would be helpful to compile the websites that sell bridal gowns & BM dresses for less. I had a great experience with TJ formal. I saved $100 on a BM dress. Now I am shopping for my friend's wedding dress for less. If you have used one of these companies, post what you thought & I'll update the first post. 5. I can't wait to trash the dress! I think most people on the forum liked their TTD pics the best. I'm wearing the same dress, but I wasn't planning on keeping it anyway. If it doesn't get ruined I might hem it short & wear it again (it's casual). I'm not sacrificing valuable closet space to hold on to it forever. I'd rather have some great pics.
  6. The most important part of the package for me was digital negatives. With that I can get my own prints, make my own photobooks, slideshows, etc. I love doing that kind of stuff myself so it wasn't something I was looking for in a photography package. You have to consider that when looking at prices. if you are getting a CD of your images, you will save a lot of money after the wedding on prints so you can budget more for a photographer. Most photographers will make a custom package for you so if you don't need all those extras you can skip them & either save money or get more photography time.

They even give you a waiter to take care of your party, and do some simple decorations for your area. Only catch is that they only allow for it if you have 25 guests or less. If your party is larger than that, you have to book for a private reception. Anyway, I don't think its in poor taste at all. Especially if you are having an AHR. But either way, I think its fine. They are already in this idyllic setting having the time of their lives..no reason to go to all that extra expense as far as I'm concerned. Is 25 the magic number? I couldn't remember if it was 25 or 20. We are a group of 26. Hopefully that 1 person doesn't put us over the top for the restaurant I've heard they will allow more if you ask when you get there. I feel the same way about the buffet. I don't mind doing it, I just don't want to be walking around in my dress.
  8. They typically have them in the travel section (with the small shampoo) for 97 cents. I bought 30 glow in the dark bracelets for $2 in the dollar spot. I tested 1 out & it works great. I'd rather have the necklaces, but the bracelets should still be fun. I'm giving them to our guests one night when we are all partying.

I'm a vista print addict I usually make my designs to see what I like & then I got back over it to check for margins.
  10. My 1 month to go list!!!!! I've started to feel pressure to get things done for the first time. My list was making me feel a little overwhelmed. 12. how long did it take for these to come in? i still haven't ordered mike's ring because I dont have his size. I've been asking him for it for a while If I don't get it soon, I'm getting him this ring as punishment We measured his finger at target & he was a 9.25. The website doesn't have 9.5s. I'm thinking about getting him a 9 & a 10 to see which fits. Maybe one will be his winter ring & the other will be for summer. My ring has been tight since it got warm. He doesn't plan on wearing it every day so it doesn't have to be a perfect fit.

I also like saving people money so I want to find the dresses for a better price. I saved everyone $100 in the other wedding I'm in this year. It probably seems like I'm doing so much for her because I just posted several things today. That's because she was just in NC visiting me so we did a lot wedding stuff. I won't be around for showers, bachelorette parties, or any of those things so this is stuff I can do to help out. She is helping me out too as my honorary BM. I tried on my wedding dress for her & she helped me decide how much cleavage I should have. That is a good friend to watch you make adjustments to your bra to see just how much is enough but not too much I might need to stop doing so much as a BM though. After this wedding, that makes 9. I don't know if I want to do any more.

They could also always try to sell them on e-bay. They made the commitment so now they need to honor it. (That is my new mantra) I got excited about that too! Also lyrebard is getting married on june 21st so we are BDW quads! Where is your wedding?

I do like the magnets, but postcards are a lot cheaper. I imagine many did get tossed, but I know many were saved. People will refer to looking at the STD to find my website so I know they still have it.

I'll let yall know which she picks. I emailed her 3 & 5. Thanks for the feedback.
  19. I went BM dress shopping with a friend this week for a wedding I'm a bridemaid in. She wanted all the same color (clover green) & same material, but different styles. We found the after six brand to have more options than others. There were 10 cute choices in the same material & tea-length. We'll order them from netbride or another discount website for around $100. They have a large variety of colors so this would be an easy option. You can just pick a color & there is probably something to suit all your BMs. I put the pictures together with the style numbers to send all the other BMs. I thought I'd share because someone else might find it useful.

I'll send her the link. $250 less might put it in her budget. I'm not sure what it was, but it didn't sound like this dress was very far off.

The veil looks amazing "in action." I really like your prewedding pics. Tom's reaction is priceless. I would love to borrow your veil if you are sure you are OK with that. I'm super cautious with things & I plan on taking it off after pictures so I could put it in my room before we start to party. I can stick it in my locked luggage. It looks a lot like my friend's veil I was going to borrow. It also matches my necklace! Thank you so much tami! This forum is full of the best people!!! That is so kind of you! I'd be worried about getting it to you in time. If it was deleyed in the mail or anything I'd be really worried. I do already have a package addresses to you & ready to ship after my wedding so you can get my starfish. These are the closest things to smiling ferrets to pick from.
