Want to raise some money at your reception?
rodent replied to rodent's topic in Just venting or funnies
Then you may have missed the part where the auctioneer prompted her to blow in the guy's ear. What I don't understand is why they posted that on youtube. Are they proud? -

The bride got over $100 & the groom got something like $75. I think a bunch of women chipped in because at the end it was like 6 women dancing with the groom. -
more pics on your blog...I'll check it out. We are so mean to make you start blogging during busy season.

But, she was visiting me last week. I can help from here. I did the majority of my planning on the internet.

I've got to go ask mike what I would be. You need an "I'm not a nugget" shirt too. The platypus DNA was just sequenced. it's part mammal, part bird & part reptile. YouTube - unique wedding dollar dance Wow! I thought maybe they were just really drunk when they thought this would be a good idea. But, they must be proud of it because they posted it on youtube. The guests look miserable. UPDATE: they pulled it off youtube. People have asked what it was so here is my decription: It was a video of a bride & groom auctioning off their first dance. It looks like a groomsman was an auctioneer. The guests looked pretty uncomfortable & it went on for 10 minutes. To liven things up the auctioneer suggested the bride sit in the men's laps & blow in a guy's ear. She got over $100 & the groom got about $75. I hope it was worth the money.

I think it will also squish my thighs more than I want. And be itchy. I want to know where all these traditions started. Like the smashing the cake in the face. I don't want to feed each other cake either. or drinkg champagne with our arms linked. I'm just not that traditional. I can't think of a tradition I do want to do... I don't dislike them at other people's weddings. I just have no interest in doing it. Oh, I thought of one. I do like the rose petal toss or bubbles. I like toasts. Doing the macarena (that's a wedding tradition right?) I like doing the Aggie war hyme. I think that's it. Oh, and the chicken dance. I have to do the chicken dance.

I'm the same way. There is always a snack in my purse. I get really miserable when I'm hungy. I get dizzy, start to slur my speech & can't think straight. I have to eat every few hours to avoid feeling bad.

I think she needs this because she is a nuggette, not a nugget. I'm Not A Nugget Infant Creeper > I'm Not A Nugget Tshirt & Gift > Zen Shop T-shirts, Gifts & Clothing | CafePress I'm so happy for them!

I'm not wearing one. If I did, I wouldn't toss it. Whats the symbolism of it? I wouldn't want it showing under my dress which is very light material.

Really it's just a curtsey.... Every wedding I've ever shot has never been less than a 10 hour day with the bride and groom with NO breaks.... We don't have time for breaks....we are at your beck and call all day! Morgan is right if you've only contracted someone for 3 or 4 hours then you should be alright with not providing a meal! To address the not eating bit! That is ALWAYS the venue or caterers fault! They will feed us dead last and we will only have seconds to scarf down a meal forget tasting it, because you're about to cut the cake by the time we are feed! Venues especially CCs are HORRIBLE to photographers and videographers.... don't ask me why but it's true! Another scam... the "vendor meal" I think they charge you 1/2 price for the "vendor meals" and they give us a club sandwich and a bag of chips! Yeah and they charge you 65 BUCKS! So in conclusion feed them if you have them contracted for more than 4 hours.... they don't have to sit with your guests....I actually prefer not to! They skipped the head table too. The bride & us BMs were so hungy. We didn't have appitizers like everyone else because we were taking pictures. We only had a few minutes to eat before the cake cutting & toasts. I had to get a waiter to get them to bring us food ASAP. Something similar probably did happen to the photographers. What a long time to go without food. The photographers & bridal party had been there since 10am. I think the couple, bridal party, photographers, DJ, etc. should get their food first because they are the ones on a schedule. I think I would want a vendor table. You are probably in such a hurry to eat you don't have time for small talk. We got skipped at the rehersal dinner too. They wouldn't bring us bread, drinks, or dessert. It was at a different location. I really don't understand why. It was pretty annoying.

where does the "whos online" page say you are? Right now I have the forum open in 3 windows. I opened it in 2 to find links with one & post them in a thread with the other. That got me wondering how this works. so if someone can go to the who's online section & tell me where I am we can solve this mystery. morgan#1 is in the desperate housewives thread morgan#2 is in the what do you think of my friend's STD threads morgan#3 is posting this thread where am I?

Now I'm making her STDs, emailing discount websites for dress quotes & looking for a photographer that is awesome in her budget. I just feel like I've learned how all this wedding business works now that it would be a shame to not help out. But, I don't want to take over or anything. I think I made it clear I just want to help, but she makes the decisions. I've offered to do a lot of this stuff for friends & she is the first one that took me up on my offer. I might be making her photobook after the wedding too. I can use the same tree on the first page. I love that tree. maybe I'm just burnt out on thinking about my own wedding. or all of my fun projects are done. But, I'm so excited about her wedding.

I think it depends on time. If they are only there a few hours you don't always feed them. But if it's something like 4+ hours you should. my friend paid $50 per plate for her 3 photogs & 1 videographer & they didnt eat. i'm pretty sure there is a thread about this.

It really saves to shop around for wedding gowns I have learned.
