I didn't even see them or anyone else besides Steve and the minister. well, the hold up is him being available & mike being OK with it because of his fear of the camera. we'll see. I think I'm sold on it though.

After attending my niece and nephews graduation this weekend I saw a video my sister did for them. It was a combination of video clips she had taken over the years along with still photos. It was set to music and the music would fade out during the short clips of film so you could hear the sound. IT WAS AMAZING!!! Right now I am leaning towards having her do a documentary style video of the whole week they are with us (we are doing a wedding cruise before honeymoon). She can do the 'bride and groom interviews' I have seen in other professional videos, interview guests, etc. Then when we get home she can add video clips and pics of us growing up to clips and pics of the ceremony and trip. This way we have a great video we can run in a loop during the AHR. Since you don't like to watch video of yourself either shortened clips to show others might be a great idea. Then you can always keep the full video locked away just for you. Carla That is just what I wanted to make. Something like this: YouTube - Levi and Christinas Wedding That would be what I'd share with people. The full thing would probably just be for us & parents.

If you had the program MS publisher it would probably be a lot simpler. The files are so huge that it's hard for me to help anyone with this. I've run into issues of them getting bounced back to my email. So, if you don't like using photoshop a lot, I'd just stick with a light background. Making the light boxes was the trickiest part. I did the front of the meet the guests with just a light background & I think it looks very good. With all that text, it seemed pointless to make the boxes.

Guess i'll have to bring this back up to fi again. sound like we have a similar situation. My grandma is talking about canceling because she is not feeling up to it. His grandparents are not going. I can also edit the video with my pictures & make a really cool montage. I wanted to make something that is about 3-4 minutes long & has all the highlites for people who didn't go. So now I'm just waiting to see if the guy is available & seeing what Mike thinks...

We did pay for it and afterwards I thought that was such a waste of cash! I hate even getting my photograph taken so for me I said I don't want it in no uncertain terms. They end up being like holiday photographs everyone says oh i'd love to see it but in reality they are being polite and are bored out their tree watching it lol Sorry Morgan but you need the otherside of it too lol Thanks for the other side of things. I guess if the worst that can happen is I lock a video away for no one to see & blew my stimulus check on it, that isn't so bad. The good side of things is I could have this video that I love forever. I have one video of myself as a kid & I love watching that thing. My parents were throwing a party at our swimming pool & it started to rain. So we went under the carport & my uncle played guitar while we sang. At one point I start doing something that looks like a pop-n-lock routine to willie nelson's blue eyes crying in the rain. I had no idea I did stuff like that as a kid until I saw the video. It really is priceless. I didn't see this video until I was in college & I laughed so hard I was in pain. I'm talking to mike about it when he gets home. The first time I asked he said he would hate to be on film.

  9. Maybe you can find someone renting their house while on summer vacation. If you give use the hospital name some google savy BDWer can probably track something down. san francisco bay area sublets & temporary classifieds - craigslist
  10. I also have to add you are an amazing BDWer. After all you have been through you manage to post pictures!
  11. OK hopefully I'll hear tomorrow if the guy is available. I need to check with mike too. He might be way to nervous about the camera. He hates seeing himself on film. He can't even watch kid videos.

  13. I keep thinking I've made up my mind not to, but I can't decide if I should hire a videographer. I don't know if I'd like watching a video of myself. I find them a little uncomfortable to watch sometimes. Also, I'm worried I'll feel weird with a camera man following us. I know we'll be relaxed with our photographer, but will the video make us more tense? I hate when someone pulls out a camcorder at Christmas. I can't relax knowing it's being recorded. But, there are people who can not attend the wedding so a video might be really important. I know his grandparents would want to see it. Now my grandma might have to cancel her trip. I do have a small camcorder, but I know sound will not be good. And the person filming won't be a pro so it might not be good quality. I really can't decide. I can afford it, but I don't like spending big chunks of cash. But, if this video will become something I'll cherish the rest of my life and watch when I'm 70 I'd hate to skip it. UPDATE We are getting a video! Mike Cantarell Cancun Wedding Videos | Mayan Riviera Wedding Videographer | Miguel Cantarell - Home

  15. dad is down 150 pounds now. It was hard for me to get an update because he is off doing stuff all the time now. He still thinks flying will be hard for him, but I know he will be able to do it. 2 of my friends land the same time as him so I'm going to tell them to keep an eye out for him. I'd like him to have someone to travel with to the hotel. I wish someone was on his flight, but it didn't work out.

  17. I ordered them sunday & they shipped today. can't wait to see them! He is a 9.25 so I bought a 9 & a 10. I also got myself a thin silver band for vacations when i don't want my real ring. I figure I can sell the one that doesn't fit on ebay & maybe even make a profit. or we can just keep it. At $8.75 per ring you can't go wrong.

I'm also sending my cancun airport guide with that letter.
  19. You tell just your man that you heard on the forum that nothing makes a girl hotter than doing a trash the dress. It's not a lie. Several girls have said that.
  20. programs is one of the last things I need to do. I emailed my WC to see how the ceremony goes. I don't even know what to put in them yet. I plan on making them really simple. Maybe on a 4x8 vista print invite. We do not have a lot to put on them. No bridal party.

I still felt like I had to finish all the stuff I started. I'll be done soon.
  22. I am trying to wrap these up this week. I lost some momentum on my wedding planning (burnt out) and I finally got excited about finishing these things. I still need to make some changes & finish some sections, but here is what I have. It is tri-fold, so this is the front, back & inside flap of the welcome brochure This is the inside Here is the front, back & flap of our meet the guests. I'm mailing these out once I get them from vistaprint not sure why the word "forget" didn't show up. But, it says Dont Forget. The inside
  23. I'm glad I read this. I'm calling sprint tomorrow to check on adding the international plan.
