  1. last july, my car window (driver side) started acting funny. I'd roll it down to get into my parking garage & it wouldn't go up all the way. If I waited a minute, rolled it back down & then rolled it up it would get there. I took it to a place to have it fixed. They charged my $250 to replace the .....OK I forgot what they replaced, valve maybe?. When i got it back it was even worse. It did the thing more often & I had to wait longer to get the window back up. I took the car in again & they said it worked fine for them. So I left & it was still broken. It doesn't happen all the time, but often enough to be a problem. Sometimes it takes 10 minutes to get back up so I just never roll it down. So I took it in one more time & they said they can't tell whats wrong. When I asked for my money back they said they can't do that, but they'd definitly fix it. But, they don't know how to fix it. The place is open M-F 9-5 so getting there is a PITA. Then being without a car is hard. So I've just been doing without any functional windows (my passenger broke before that so I leave it stuck up.) But, not having a drivers side window that works is annoying. I have to open my door to get into my parking garage, at drive thrus & the bank. I've never delt with a mechanic problem like this. Should they have to refund my money? Should they have to figure out what's wrong? What if they can't fix it? Should I take it somewhere else? Or just keep opening my door. I've gotten skilled at swipping my card with the door cracked open. The car is a 99 civic. I plan on keeping it atleast another 3-4 years. I just hate spending another $250 to take it elsewhere. The window can just break again too. It's the 2nd time my drivers side broke & my passenger broke twice too. I miss hand crank windows.
  2. my hotel will section off a part of the resaurant for up to 20 people. We'll be a group of 25 so I hope that's fine. I've heard it shouldn't be a problem. I've heard they do the semi-private receptions great. Private waiter, decorations and all. I just can't see paying for food that's already paid for to have it private.
  3. I'm updating my post with my music stuff. It's at the start of the thread...

  5. it's probably letting you buy the other one that lets you post more often. That is the one called "bypass flood control." The bypass search is definitly not an option anymore.
  6. Cute! The picture was found by StephanieMN & I stuck a template on the forum. I like your idea for the pill boxes. I think guests will use these little first aid kits again for trips. I saved one for myself & I'll definitly pack it on future trips.
  7. OK it's done. You can download the mp3 here. do y'all like the crop? I'm going to play it again & make sure that's just how I want it. U2 - Beautiful Day cropped.mp3
  8. grrr. my sound isn't working. I'm leaving soon so if I can't get my sound working I can't do this until tonight or tomorrow.
  9. You can do it with a free program called audacity. It's not too hard.

  11. Welcome! I remember you posting about doing slideshows previously. Glad to see it has worked out!
  12. I'm doing just that. I'll give you my cut version. I can probably just upload it to the forum. unless someone else has already done in. in which case, can i have it too Anyway, its not hard & I already have the software so you can check that off your list.

  14. Here is a bill levkoff dress. I think it's abour 200. I have the short style of it & it's so sexy. I thought the material looked like your dream dress.
  15. Do any of these appeal to you? They are around $200-$300. Sean Collection Stretch Mesh Halter Gown - Wedding Dresses - Nordstrom JS Boutique Beaded Crisscross Matte Jersey Gown - Wedding Dresses - Nordstrom Sean Collection Strapless Embroidered Mesh Gown - Wedding Dresses - Nordstrom
  16. This one? What is it you love about it? The way it's fitted around the hips? I think you can find something with the same sleek, sexyness for less. I'm looking...
  17. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t21375 here is a list of places that sell bridal gowns for less. what is the gown you love? Maybe someone here has seen something like it. I wouldn't blow your budget on a dress. Witha tight budget, the dress is something really variable. Other costs are fixed & you can't do anything about them. Keeping my dress budget low was one of the things that helped me the most in staying in budget. don't forget alteration costs either. At the same time you should also have a gown you love. Tricky, I know. But, it can be done. Especially with 11 months.
  18. so far chrissy Os has been the cheapest for our BM dresses. $94 no tax no shipping.
  19. Interesting article. I'm packing my red umbrella incase it rains My hotel has a backup area, but if it rains on my wedding day I plan to make the most of it. Umbrella pics I the rain are great.

  21. OK I think you need a program that rips it off the cd & converts it to an mp3. I used to have something like this called Simba. but once it comes off the cd it should be an mp3 now. I think walmart.com sells mp3s that are not protected. Maybe amazon too. Sorry, I'm kind of out of date with my music info. I haven't downloaded much since the original napster. I mostly listen to podcasts now.
  22. i've been told if you burn the itunes song on a cd & then put it back on your computer it will now be an mp3. havent tried it I'm going to see if it works....
  23. i've been told that if you have a gps you can't leave any traces of it visible. my friend takes off even the thing that holds it in place. if people can see that they will break in & check the glove box. my car was broken in to a couple months ago & it was really creepy. they took everything out of the glove box & console & threw it all over. i didn't put anything back for about a week for some reason. I was just driving around with no radio & my papers on my passenger seat.
