agreed to hike the appalacian trail for 4 days in October. I love hiking, but I only camp at places with showers & running water. I'm a clean freak. I can't go to bed dirty. Also, I camp where we can pull up our truck & have all the food & water we want. This will be roughing it with only what we can carry. We will hike 9 hours a day! I know it would mean a lot to Mike so I think I just need to toughen up. He has been wanting to do this hike since we moved to north carolina. The hike is planned for his birthday & we'll be staying in the cabin where we stayed when we got engaged. The hike will start & end at the spot where we got engaged. I know I just need to suck it up & rough it. maybe we can find campsites along the way with showers Home - Appalachian Trail Conservancy If you are wanting to know more about it. We will do a part from north carolina to Tennesse. The TN part looks awesome. You hike all day on the tops of mountains just going from one to the next.

You drive up & press a button to order. Then they bring the food out to you. They used to do it on roller skates. Occasionally there will be an employee that still skates. Their tater tots are great. The main thing they are known for are their huge drinks & slushes.

We don't have any near us, but on a trip to south carolina we saw a sonic sign on the highway & crossed two lanes of traffic to exit. I love their food. What I really miss though is whataburger chickenstrips & gravy. One time we flew in to texas & landed at 9am. But to us it felt like lunch time because we had been up since 4am eastern so we went straight for whataburger & got big meals. We were so gitty that they probably thought we were high. mmm their ketchup is the best too. OK back to the topic- I lived by a sonic with a drive thru in college so I didn't tip. I'd probably just tip my left over change if they brought it to my car. More if I had to ask for them to go back & get something like more ketchup. When I made minimum wage someone gave me $5 before christmas & I was so thrilled. It was like a bonus hour of pay!

I'm taking a brief moment to put some pictures on photobucket. We had a wonderful morning. We picked up our witnesses & headed to the courthouse. It wasn't a romantic type of thing. Go to one room & sign something, go to another & pay, take a receipt to someone else...lots of runaround. But, we had fun with it & it was really nice. My witnesses were so funny snapping pictures the whole day. Afterwards we stuffed ourselves with mexican food. Now we are going to seista. One friend brought the coursages we made for a fake prom party we threw so we wore those. I brought a cheesy bouquet so I could throw is to my other friend. She brought the sombreros & maracas. I didn't realize we'd actually say vows. it was sweet. I'm so happy to be married to mike, but I still can't wait for next saturday! There was a couple in the waiting room to get married too. They had a kid with them to be a witness. They asked Mike to be their 2nd witness. It was pretty funny because we could hear him through the wall stating his name & address. There are more pictures on page 5 We started the morning with heart shaped pancakes.
