  1. I thought I'd share this with everyone. They're photos of lounge chairs and beds. A great way to create a relaxing ambience in a beach or garden setting.
  2. A great view of the garden and the gazebo. Also an indoor and outdoor view of the terrace. Two potential reception venue.
  3. jlink, I think you can pretty much request for any shape vase you would like. Just make sure you send her photos of what it is you want in advance. I took a picture of a wedding while I was there and they used a fairly nice vase. I'll post up pictures once I resize my files. I've also seen a square and round vase on the centerpiece file.
  4. Susan, thanks for posting Brenda's wedding info. I thought we cannot bring outside florists to Dreams. I was hoping to go with an outside florists for my centerpiece to save a bit of $. I know we can bring any decorations for the centerpiece tables. I guess if we get flowers for the tables and they see it the day of the wedding, they won't try to give us a hard time since it's already done. Sort of a gamble...
  5. Before I forget, the answer to the big question... White tablecloths and napkins are included in the price. Any other color is for an additional costs.
  6. I'm back from my Cancun site visit and I must say my choice of having the wedding at Dreams was definitely reinforced. Susan, you can arrange to have the glass container with Claudia of any shapes and size for around $20 each. Paula, internet access is included if staying at the Club Tower. Everyone else has 15 minutes free access to the internet by going to the business center (has 3 computers). I'll be posting other info and pictures I got. Stay tuned!
  7. Thanks for the thorough review of Dreams. It was a pleasure to read and very informative. Enjoy the married life!!!
  8. Girlz no worries, I'll sort the tablecloth issue when I meet with Claudia on Monday. Any other questions you want answered right away, let me know so I can ask?
  9. Ladies, ideas for rehearsal dinner? Are you having dinner at one of the restaurants in Dreams or going outside of Dreams to do something else? I think there's a $10 pp fee to reserve for a private section in one of the restaurants.
  10. Congrats!!! Enjoy the time of your life... Can't wait to see pictures.
  11. Susan, I thought Dreams gives 1 free room for every 50 rooms you reserve. That's what my TA said. They better give you some freebees for all that guest....
  12. Thanks Paula for the points donation. Because of you I was able to see how beautiful the wedding is. I'm so glad the orange theme looked great 'cause my colors are burnt orange and chocolate. Thanks!
  13. Thanks for the response Paula. Very helpful... Now, how do I earn lots of points so I can open wkbroome's pictures. I've read so many great things. I'm excited to see them...
  14. I think I'm getting addicted posting to this site.... I need suggestions. I just booked a last minute Cancun trip from 8/10-8/15. The purpose of this trip is for the wedding. Visit Dreams, meet with photographers and videographers. Food tasting, maybe. What else should I do in preparation for the wedding while I'm over there? The next time I'll go back is on the actual wedding day. I'm thinking I might forget to do something. Any thoughts?
  15. For the brides that are having a reception. I got a price from Claudia of Table Decor Option. I noticed that they have listed tablecloths for $15-20 each. Shouldn't tablecloths come with the reception? It seems like we have to pay for every little thing that we need. What do you think? Table Décor Options Tablecoths $ 15 - $ 20 usd + 10% tax each Napkins $ 1.50 usd + 10% tax each Chair Covers $ 4.50 usd + 10% tax each Ribbons for Chairs $ 3.50 usd + 10% tax each Green Leaves for Plates & napkins $ 5.50 usd + 10% tax each Flowers for Chairs $ 9.50 usd + 10% tax each
  16. It's official!!!! I am now a Dreams bride-to-be...6/24/08. I'm super excited and can't wait...
  17. Sean is my high school sweetheart. He proposed on our 11.5 years anniversary. We've never broken up since we started dating. I guess we're what you call soulmates/playmates.
  18. Thanks for the responses. So, I've got the cake prices and Susan said she'll email me the flower prices. On another note, I'd like to share our engagement video to my fellow brides whose helped me out tremendously. My fiance, Sean, loves to take videos of our vacations and makes mini-movies. During our Eurotrip, he filmed our vacation and he made sure his camera was ready when he proposed in Paris on our 11.5 years anniversary. Enjoy!!! YouTube - RoSean - A Proposal in Europe
  19. Renting a car in Mexico is the best and cheapest way to sightsee. The roads are easy to drive in if you go up and down the highway that connects Cancun, Playa del Carmen, and Tulum. We rented a car 2 years ago when we were there from either Dollar or Payless. The rental itself was cheap (less than $20 per day). Insurance is fairly high so we opted to not take it. (Big gamble but it worked out for us).
