I know, it sounds stupid, but its worth a try...?? do yo uhave any family, friends or work related business you could use their address? also - you can probably call David's Bridal stores and pay for them to ship it to you if they have it in stock - did you try that? why would it matter where the credit card is linked to? i have never heard of that and order things from over-seas all the time.

  4. Wow Wow Wow .... Chicago girls - what is the buzz there? The political environment there right is insane - i can't believe how horrible those allegations are!!! for those who haven't heard anything yet here is a link to a NYTIMES article... http://www.nytimes.com/2008/12/09/us...mc=rss&src=igw and a link to the affidavit... http://graphics8.nytimes.com/package..._complaint.pdf

  7. hey! i shipped about 9 boxes of stuff to HI (Big Island) from the East Coast. my recommendation is to send everything USPS parcel post (the cheapest way) just make sure to bring it boxed and sealed with plain clear tape to the post office - the only boxing / tape they have for free is the Priority Mail and that is much more expensive. I think it cost us about $100 to ship everything ( a lot of stuff) and it was SOOO WORTH it!
  8. tricky heather! i would definitely stay in touch wih Tracie - she is awesome and will be honest with you!!

  14. interesting! my DH works in NJ but for a German co. and he gets 6 months of paternity leave - 3 of it paid - WTF!?! i hope that doesn't change before we have a baby. europeans know how to live! lol
  15. this is a tough one - it is a bit easier for me b/c my DH is Christian and my family is Jewish so Easter and Christmas day we typically go to DH's family, all the Jewish holidays we go to my families. the big one for us is Thanksgiving so we alternate families every year - we have been doing this for 5 years now and although they don't like it they accept it. also - we are planning on getting a big enough house where we can host a lot of holidays and invite everyone together.
