  1. Thanks for all of the ideas and feedback - i do feel a little better about it!
  2. i know - it is tough! i hate to make people stand - especially if it is HOT budgets suck!!!! it seems like every place we start to grove on there is a catch (sorry for the quick vent!)
  3. we are really excited about this place in Hawaii and we definitely want a beach ceremony ... their policy for their beach is no chairs (they say for safety reasons) so all of our guests (approx 25 to 35 people) would have to stand for the entire ceremony. we are planning a ceremony that is approx 1/2 hour because of some religious and family traditions. has anyone done this (no chairs?). is it a really big deal? and as for elderly guests - we really only have 1 (FI's grandfather who is 86 and just did a 10mile marathon!)

We have 7 rooms worth of guest arriving the same day and thinking I will only ship their bags and try to take the rest (another 12 rooms) down with us? The wedding coordinator said she would assemble the bags and hand out when guest check in. This is why I thought to ship only the ones that arrive when we do?? Any suggestions.... We are also giving a bag to the wedding coordinator and her assistant. Those bags sound amazing - i would love to get one of those!

If you self print your place cards you can insert those images on the place cards on the left or right so they coordinate to the tables with the same icon. OR you and your fiance could print out table numbers in your wedding colors and go to the beach with a friend and have the friend take photos of you both holding up the numbers. it would look especially neat if you both wore white linen or something very beachy and tropical.
  7. are you going to self print your placecards too?
  8. our 4 year anniversary is 9/5/2007 and we are planning our wedding for our 5th anniversary (thankfully it is a Friday!) 9/5/2008! we were just talking this weekend about how amazing it is to be with someone for 4 years and still be so excited about them and the relationship!
  9. i do all the cooking and he cleans but lately i haven't been cooking that much at all! especially since it is summer - we are all about the BBQ Salmon or Chicken, fresh corn on the cob, salad and watermelon. i used to own a catering company in grad school and my mom is a trained chef so if you all are interested in starting up the recipe exchange i have some really good ones to share!

  12. Yes, i was (and am) i had broken my ankle and torn some ligaments last year so i gained a bunch of weight. i started back working out slowly with walking and was walking about 45 min a day with an incline 4 to 5 times a week. now i am doing run /walk intervals (run 1 min / walk 2) 2 to 3 times a week with 1 - 2 yoga or something else. are you exercising? one of the things i LOVE about the online food diary is that you can put in your exercise and then you get to eat more calories! 16. Hi Dayna - Welcome! i am also in Philly! We are planning our wedding for St. Croix in the USVI - i have done a lot of research on St. Croix and St. John but can't really help with St. Thomas.

  18. they look great! that is a lot of work - your guests are lucky - they are really going to appreciate those!!
  19. that is awesome! you have to take a picture of him when he is feeling better!!!
  20. Funny - because the designer's 1st draft had the logo bigger! i actually asked him to make it smaller b/c it is more of a unifying element (to the later pieces, STD, invites, etc) at this point than something that has to be read but i appreciate your feedback! i am going to do a couple test prints and if it is too small i have the other version to run with (the final print will be 5x7) Thanks! I just wanted to let you know. Everything else looks wonderful!
  21. you will be!!! patience sucks sometimes but my grandmother used to say "all good things are worth waiting for" we are about 1 month from celebrating our 4 year anniversary and just getting started down this road Quote: Originally Posted by LadyP I live in Southwest.
