LOL
  2. OMG - you look amazing! your dress is SO beautiful!!! but most of all you both look so happy
  3. he thinks that the wedding dress is special and for the ceremony - should be a bit more formal (and prob less comfy LOL) and then a 2nd party dress that is very sexy, shorter, tighter and that you can dance all night. i really want to buy one dress that i LOVE and wear it as long as possible so the thought of having to take time away from our family and friends to get changed and spend money on a 2nd dress and accessories just doesn't sound like fun!

FI has his heart set on me wearing 2 dresses - i just feel like - is it a waste of $? and you only get to wear your wedding dress 1x so i want to milk it
  6. one for the ceremony and one for the reception? If so, do you plan on having them coordinate and have similar style elements? And if you have pics - that would be great too!

This allergy is quite commun now in the States + Canada, but how is it in Mexico? I will be bringing lots of deserts for them but are the labels there as precise as here (every ingredients are written + "may contain peanuts" warning) . Annie My FI is allergic to Shellfish (yeah not so great when we travel coastal!), we always contact the resorts in advance and then bring a letter with us (translated into their language) and show the restaurant manager / waiter to show the chefs. they really appreciate this and we don't have to make a scene or try to translate about something so serious with mistakes!
  8. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FrmxZpZWd6k this is the best - if you love dogs you have to watch this...watch till the end though!
  9. yes, target is the worst unless you are never going to return anything. my cousin registered there and crate & barrel last year and we had a horrible experience at target trying to return or exchange a gift she got 2x. also - if you don't have a receipt, they take your license and you can only have 2 returns per year per person. CRAZY!

To make a long and dull story short, we don't know and even after the surgery, may not know if the tumor is malignant or not. I vote "NO". So if you have an extra minute, I would sure appreciate a good thought or a prayer. Thanks. I will talk to you all in a couple of days. Love ya, Lizzy Stay strong - i will pray for you!!!!
  14. both really pretty but the white strapless all the way - very flattering and the neckline is gorgeous!!!

  16. thank you for posting this! we are doing it - i had my 1st interview last night - very exciting - i will keep you all posted and let you know how it goes. PS - we are NOT ordering 100!
  17. i wouldn't buy that for them unless they were tech savvy or really into pictures. i know a couple of people that have them and they tend to stop using them after a couple of months. i always like to give timeless gifts for wedding presents - something that they can / will use in 10 years and smile. but everyone is different and they may really love it - the majority on here would and these girls are pretty savvy!

  19. (both sides combined) we are looking at having 6 or 7 each! it sounds crazy to me because it will be half of our attendee list but we both agree that these people are so important we cannot get married without them standing for us! i guess i started thinking about it more from the financial perspective - more pressure on them to 'have to go'. more gifts, etc. i love hearing all your situations!
  20. Tami - i didn't even think about the alteration YIKES - i need to give that some thought. i saw the shoes in a bride magazine 2 or 3 months ago and found them online at: Dyeable Wedding Shoes from Kate Spade, Cynthia Rowley, & More a little pricey but i really like them!
  21. thanks for the feedback! i have been using the drops - no halos at this point just sensitivity, some dryness and tiredness. but still worth all it - is is AWESOME!!!
  22. it is really safe and you live close to me - you just have to make sure you go to the best people - in our area that is Kremer Laser Eye. it was instant - i had bettern than perfect vision within 32 seconds and could see every detail on the ceiling immediatley - pretty crazy!!!
  23. i haven't even bought a dress yet and have PLENTY of time but i saw these shoes and cut out the picture and love them. i am thinking of barefoot for a beach ceremony and these shoes for the reception...
  24. Has anyone else had Lasik? i had it about 3 weeks ago and was wondering if any of you had it and if so, what kind of after effects you had? My eyes have been getting tired really quickly from adjusting, especially on the PC and in the car at night. The doctors say this is all normal and takes some time to go away but it is always comforting when someone else is / has gone through something similar! Thanks!
