Hotel and beach resort in Rincon Puerto Rico Horned Dorset Primavera. Very nice upscale sort of place with a boutique feel. One of the cast members from Ugly Betty got married there recently. The Horned Dorset Primavera Hotel | Rincon, PR Hopefully in the near future our dream of owning a hotel in Rincon will come to life and we will be able to host weddings ourselves! Thanks for the info - we have looked at both of these - decided to pass on Rincon b/c of the swimming and Horned Dorset b/c of the $$$ - that place is crazy expensive. we are fixated on doing a buy out at The Lodge at Molokai Ranch in Hawaii so we'll see how that goes!

Tami - i went to a DW at Paradisus Palma Real last August. I HIGHLY recommend the Royal Service Suites - and BTW - the Spa Rocks! you will love it!
  4. miles - that is a great idea! we went to a DW in Cabo last summer at Fiesta Americana and the couple left that night and went to the One & Only Palmilla for a week. they did send a car 2 nights later for the wedding party and hosted us for drinks, which was an un-necessary but very classy touch!

I wish! the buy out rate for 2 nights with events is $20K. their contract asks for 50% of that within 30 days of the contract being signed (so approx 45 to 60 days from now!). then they want the other $10K in March 2008. i am kind of freaking out about it - it is the only thing standing in our way righ now but $10K is a lot of $ to put down in 60 days!!!! would you be willing to PM and swap contracts/proposals?

  14. we are considering doing a buy-out at The Lodge at Molokai Ranch and are wondering if anyone here has done this anywhere else?? thanks!
  15. Congrats! i hope you are enjoying everything and each other!!!
  16. Luxury Link - A Mexican Fiesta on the Baja Peninsula check out the package i saw on luxury link! i used the site one time before to bid for a vacation package - the auctions are usually really great deals!
  17. we picked 09.05.08 because it is our 5 year anniversary!
  18. as of today, my plan is to pay someone to do it. only because my assistant has a good friend who has a side silk screening business and has offered to do our logo transfer via silk screen for a small fee. otherwise, i would probably do the transfer my self to save $

She knows that the BM who is dropping out is one of my best friends (I have 2) and so of course I would have picked her first. That is the thing, I think she will understand why I asked other BM first and not her. you know them best and you should trust your instincts! if you think she will be excited, then go for it! that is just my opinion and everyone's circumstances are so different ... whatever happens i hope it is all over with soon so you don't have to stress out about it anymore!!!

If I ask one of them, then other BM could get her $125 back that she paid as a deposit for her dress. What do you all think? i would not like to be asked to be a 'back up' bridesmaid - i don't know if i would be offended but it would defnitely leave a bad taste in my mouth. for me, there is no way around saying ' you just weren't that important in the beginning but now that xxxx has dropped out, you really mean so much " and on a personal note - i am a BIG believer that actions always speak louder than words so i can totally relate to why you are so frustrated - her actions don't back up her 'no matter what' attitude and that is a big dissapointment
