Alyssa replied to michelle08's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings

silkscreen? paint? i know this probably sounds a little nutty but maybe you could make or get your logo and text onto a stencil and spray paint waterproof paint? -

It's the perfect way to incorporate her into the wedding without being all depressing and sad. that is really great that you can incorporate her like that. i am sorry i said 'tree' - that was my 1st reaction when i looked at it at work! () my FI's Nana passed last year we had the same relationship with her - her being his fav and her and i had a special and deep connection. we have also been thinking of ways to incorporate her without it being sad and depressing - nice job!

Wow, I gotta say--- if that's the attitude shown to the bridal party, some brides are really lucky to even have bridesmaids. God knows that's the kind of thing that would make me look at the person and say 'fuck you.' I guess I look at it like, if I'm forcing them to wear what I want them to wear just because it's what I want- then I have waayyyy more issues going on than just picking a color/style. And if I'm asking them to shell out money to be involved in our wedding, then I need to make it a good experience for them too--- because it's not about them catering to me and my demands for "the perfect day." It's about spotlighting the importance that they have in my life and showing them that while I'm making this commitment to my best friend and showing everyone the importance he has in my life, I also want to make the day about showing the importance my bridesmaids have in my life also... um - mikkistreak - will you be my BM? i f--king love your honesty!!!

I'm over it. i hear you - it is frustrating! i think if you pick a color/material and let them pick the dress style, you will have the best of both worlds and everyone will be happy. another option to accelerate them is to say, you say to them "you have 30 days to find a dress from this manufacturer in this color or i am going to go with whatever i pick becuase of planning and timelines" maybe that will get them moving!

Help, anyone. i have to be totally honest with you - it sounds like you are setting them up for failure and being a little insensitive to their needs. if your sisters love the dress and are skinny enough for the style, let them wear it and pick another dress in the same material and/or color for the 2 bridesmaids that will be more flattering and comfortable. i am sure they care what they look like and want to feel good and happy and be able to be there for YOU on the day of your wedding and not all stressed out that the don't look right / are uncomfortable / wearing a dress that really doesn't fit them / etc. since you do have some time, what about making a time to go together with at least 1 MOH and 1 BM and try to pick out some dresses in person?

Breakfast was the Pizza with scrambled eggs, turkey sausage and cheese. Lunch was a HUGE turkey burger on whole wheat roll (i added lettuce and tomato), ketchup packet and side of mandarin oranges. Dinner was Mac n' Cheese with broccoli and carrrots (i added a side salad with balsamic vinegar) after yoga i had an apple. i wasn't really hungry until last night because i went to Power Yoga and i am used to snacking and chomping out after dinner! as for the menu - because of their rotaton - i am on the 'week 3' menu and about to place my order for next week, which will be 'week 4'. you don't have to go over it unless you want to make changes or substitutions (i chose to call and go over it because there were a couple of meals i wasn't into).
