Who knows what you will think of it. Like I've said before, I love the MyRegistry.com - All Stores at One Registry site and it allows for registering at as many places as you want... good info - thanks for pulling that other post for me too! i checked out the my registry site and i really like it but i think there are TOO many options for us!!!!
  10. Everything looks amazing and so cute - i love the cake boxes - i wouldn't have thought to do that at a DW but i love it!!!!
  11. FI and I are starting to think registering - we are definitely going to register at Macy's (BTW - does anyone know if Macy's offer a buy out coupon at the end for the things that are left and for how much?) but FI really wants to register at either Home Depot or Lowe's for some tools and outdoor type stuff. Has anyone registered at either one and do you have any positive / negative experiences or preferences? I also really want to register at Crate & Barrel but i think 3 places may be too many - we are only inviting 90 people and expect about 30 when all is said and done...i really don't expect too many gifts but a girl can dream about shopping, shopping, shopping...
  12. Mo- that sucks!!! they are so inconsiderate - what store did you go to? i once had to get a bridesmaid dress from this store in S. Jersey (i can't remember the name but it is on Route 38 right near the Hooters (haha)...anyway i am 5'4" and have an hourglass shape and this dress was so horrible - it was for someone who is like 6'1" and lean and no breasts - the women in the store made me feel like a freak and they were like "we don't think there is anything that is going to make this fit you right" i wanted to punch all of them - it was horrible!!!!
  13. This is such a beautiful way to honor someone's memory. One of my friend's recently did this at her wedding - her father had passed from lung cancer. she did 1 large donation and then printed individual 'scrolls' - bascially a nice 5 x 7 parchment paper. she rolled them up and tied them with a beautiful ribbon that reflected the colors of her wedding and then attached little tags that said "Thank You". There was one on each place setting. the letter said something like: "In honor of your presence and support of us and our marriage, we have made a generous donation to XXXXXXXXXXFoundation. This donation is in your name but in honor of Jennifer's beloved and missed father, Harry, who passed away in 1999 from a long and painul struggle with Lung Cancer. We hope that our group donation provides assistance to other families during their difficult times. Thank you again for being our guest. With Love, Bride & Groom"

Unfortunately, they are behind schedule and are now anticipating the renovation to be completed in Dec 2008 or early 2009 so that fell apart. We then looked at The Inn on the Blue Horizon which is awesome but they only have 10 rooms and we don't want our guests staying at a bunch of different places. We also looked at Hix Island House and Bravo Beach and weren't confident in their service and quality b/c of mixed reviews. As for mainland P.R. - we looked at El Convento Ritz Carlton Normandie El Conquistator Hotel El San Juan Copamarina Villa Montana Gran Melia None of them were really a good fit for a number of reasons including the fact that San Juan is a port city and many of the resorts are not that private on the beach meaning you can see a lot of lights at night and it is pretty developed. Also we are not big partiers and prefer a more laid back luxurious environment. So many of the resorts have such mixed reviews. Over all, the main reason is that our date (9/5/0 is not negotiable and it is hurricane season - we are really worried about that and the stress of planning an outdoor event during the most volatile weather season down there. I am still worried about Hawaii b/c it is so far but the place is such a good fit and really has all the qualities we were looking for so we are going to suck up the distance. If you have any specific questions about any one of them, PM me! Alyssa
  15. I am definitely interested - i am planning on getting it after our engagement party so i can start playing around!

  17. we are inviting about 90 but only expect about 30 to 40 to actually come! i don't really want to have an AHR but FI's mom wants us to so if she wants to pay for it and host then i am game otherwise no thanks!
