I think I saw somewhere on here it was $40 for a bag of rose petals not sure where. I will be giving my bags out before hand that way you don't have to worry about customs. If you are all on the same flight it would be easy.

You still have alot of time left. I am getting married Feb 7 '08 and I just purchased my dress last week. I arrive at the resort January 26 sounds like we will be there the same time? Different places take different amounts of time to bring the dresses in. You should double check to make sure it won't be a problem. You will find a ton of helpful poeple on this forum. Good to know but scary to think about it. I hope it doesn't do too much damage if it hits. Our trip to Cancun was cancelled 2 years ago when a bad hurricane hit. It took them a long time to clean every thing up.

That bouqet is georgeous. I love the color in them. I guess I should get my butt in gear and find bridesmaid dresses so I can start looking at flower colors. I am with you I love the brite colors. Is that a picture of what your bouqet will look like or the bridesmaids?

oh good I am glad you found someone. Photography was a big decision for me. I didn't want to cheap out on photos but I didn't want to go over budgit either.

I haven't contacted them yet. I want to make sure it doesn't cost too much to bring them in first. What kind of flower bouqets are you going with? I'm not really sure what I want yet. I still haven't found bridesmaid dresses. The flower and color depends on what kind of dresses we get. I have been looking for something beachy and light but haven't had any luck.

Have your heard back form Chandlyn to see if there is a charge to bring in an outside florist? I am leaning that way as well.

Did you end up contacting Cora's photgraphy here in Canada or did you find a photgrapher?

We aren't honeymooning in Jamaica. We decided to go to the resort a week before we get married to organize all the small things. We didn't want to be stressed the week all our guests fly in. We have a few other couples going a week early as well so it won't be just the two of us but we are planning a honeymoon for July after our reception back home.

Have you seen any other pictures of the plantation set up? I keep hearing the Mammee bay is a way nicer restaurant to have the dinner in. I have 65 people going so we won't fit there. I don't mind the pictures above I think it will look nice once I have centerpeices set up.

Thanks for those addresses. I am going to look into them. Do you have to tell them what kind of flowers you want or do they have a selection you can look at. I have no idea what kind of flowers to get.

No I haven't set anything up with the hotel. I just figured we would tell all our guests to meet at one of the bars we liked and mingle there.We are going down a week before our guests so we will have the extra week to arrange last mintue details. We have 63 guests so far so I hope it will be ok to do it that way.

I have a photgrapher flying down with us. We had to pay for her all inclusive trip but it was equal to hiring one here at home. She is going to take pictures for 4 events over the week. A welcome mixer with all the guests the first night everyone gets there, rehersal dinner, our wedding day and trash the dress the next day. It was hard to figure out what to do with the photographer.

I wonder if the pricing for the arches includes the flowers as well What do you guys think. It says the arch name and the flowers. It wouldn't be so bad if it did include flowers. Chandlyn said she will take the flowers from the ceremony and decorate the reception tables with them so you wouldn't need to buy centerpieces as well.

Thanks for posting those. I can't belive how much everything is going to cost once I add in all the extras. When we frist decided to go with a DW we thought it would be alot cheaper. For some reason I thought they would have all these things included in a package. I wonder if you can get married on the grasss like they have on the arch pictures?? One of our groomsmen is in a wheelchair and most of the wedding places aren't very wheelchair accesible.
