They know when you're leaving for Costa Rica - so as long as it's all ready that day, you're good to go. Can't wait to see your pics.

Plus a lot of places give you a date that's a bit further out than the actual delivery date so you will be relieved when it comes in "on time." I hope that's the case here. Let me know if I need to drive to MD to kick some butt and make sure they get you your dress on time.

  4. Welcome to the Forum. You're gonna love hanging out on here. Lots of info, tons of suggestions and unlimited advice from everyone.
  5. Those are AWESOME!!!! You're wedding is coming together so nicely. I'm so excited for you. Hey, what's going on with your dress? You picked the white one, right? When does it come in?

  7. My first reaction was also to say No. Only because (like others said on here) you already started your planning before you met and started working with these ladies. However, if you do get really close with any or all of them in the next few months before you mail out your invites, then you can want to consider it. I mean, you will be spending a lot of time with these co-workers. I'm sure you'll end up being close with them. And you may end up becoming very good friends down the road - might stink that they weren't at your wedding. But you also have to remember, this is a DW - if you wait until to invite them only once the invites go out, they may not be prepared financially for the trip. Not sure if this helped you or is confusing you more.
  8. Maybe if you try to think about it in a business sense - you know, like you're "closing the deal." Not sure if that will work. Luckily for me, I'm hard-of-hearing. I plan to shut off my hearing aids so I don't hear anything. Plus, I don't plan on looking at my mother at all. She'll be bawling the whole time - one look at her and it's all over.
  9. Ok, so after exactly 4 weeks, I've lost 8 pounds. I have to admit though - I haven't worked out since the first week and I don't stick to it on the weekends. So, with that said, I guess 8 pounds isn't too bad. I'm going to start WW again beginning tomorrow. I've always done well on WW, it's easy to stick to since it's regular food. Now, if I can just get my butt on the treadmill, I would be all set.
  10. Too bad we can't come out and celebrate with you. I will have a drink for you tonight though. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

  12. I'm sorry you're dealing with this. Maybe you can politely say something like, "I'm not planning this event, maybe you should speak to the host about it."
  13. Beautiful!!!! I love them. (And yes, I noticed the symbol "8" on the front - for your date. Very cool!!!!) Love the grandma thing. So sweet.

In fact, I sent the pic of the orange, pink and green bouquet to my WC so she can fit it into the wedding.

  16. Half of our budget is being spent on F&B. I'm from NY, and weddings here are all about the food - the cocktail hour to be specific. And since Cabo isn't big on cocktail parties, we're putting a bit more money into it. (I want to make sure my guests get the same treatment they would have if we had our wedding at home.) After that, a lot of money is going towards our honeymoon and photographer.

Dinner was Mac n' Cheese with broccoli and carrrots (i added a side salad with balsamic vinegar) after yoga i had an apple. i wasn't really hungry until last night because i went to Power Yoga and i am used to snacking and chomping out after dinner! as for the menu - because of their rotaton - i am on the 'week 3' menu and about to place my order for next week, which will be 'week 4'. you don't have to go over it unless you want to make changes or substitutions (i chose to call and go over it because there were a couple of meals i wasn't into). You're making me hungry!!!
  18. Ok Ladies, a friend of mine at work told me about a new program at Chefsdiet.com - came out this week (I think they're the same as the Zone diet.) They now have a program that delivers 14 days worth of frozen foods for $9.99 a day. Here's the catch, it's only breakfast, dinner and 2 snacks (or lunch, dinner and two snacks - for $10.99.) You still have to supply one meal on your own. AND . . . you have to commit for 3 months. My co-worker is getting her shipment on Thursday so I'll let you know what she says.
  19. Wow, that's beautiful and you look stunning in it. I understand that you want you sister to love it just as much as you do. I'm the same way. What is it that she doesn't like about it?
  20. I'm dying for a Reem Acra dress. Show me the pic and tell me what size it is. Maybe I'll buy it from you.

As it is, I didn't want to get the chair ties because on ebay they are $2 each and that's like $80 bucks. I don't know if I can rent them from the wedding coordinator for cheaper...I have an email in. I am imagining not. OMG!!!! I LOVE IT!!!! Did you check with Fiesta Americana to see what color linens they have?
