Bridal Party Gifts - DONE!!!

Now I'm not exactly petite either so the longer chain was better for me. Just a suggestion. They should be able to lengthen it for you free of charge. Yeah, they're sneaky over there (they rip you off with that whole 16 inch chain nonsense.) I always have to get a longer chain. It sucks. For my mom, sisters and Gretchen, I kept the chain as is. I figured I would let them try it on first and if they want it longer, I'll take it back. I work across the street from Tiffany's on 5th Avenue, so it's not a problem for me. Oh, but they do charge you to lengthen it. Can you believe them $15 for the first inch, and $1 for each additional inch. -

And thanks for the idea of Tiffany's gifts for the WC, I'm totally stealing that idea for mine and our TA. Here is the Coach passport cover. I got one in black and one in the khaki/crimson. So cute. You know, when I was in the Coach store last night, I saw two large pieces of luggage that had really nice dark brown luggage tags on them. I looked around to see if the tags were sold separately, but I couldn't find them. I should have asked a salesperson, duh I even checked the website today and no luck. Maybe soon. But I agree, they'll probably just get stolen. Coach Official Site - SIGNATURE STRIPE PASSPORT COVER -
I ordered my gift yesterday. Can't wait for my person to get it. YIPPEE!!!!

The Tiffany stuff was a little expensive, but I'm really close with my mom, sisters and niece and I wanted the 5 of us to have the same thing. It was worth it. Oh, and I got my WC the "Return to Tiffany's" bracelet. I was torn between giving her money or a gift, but I like the idea of giving her a gift better. -

It's beautiful and you know it won't wilt at all during the day. I say, Go for it!!! -
Finally!!!! It really feels good to cross another thing off my list. Here's what we ended up getting. Our two groomsmen - Tommy Bahama white shortsleeve shirts with Tommy Bahama tan pants (this is their wedding day attire.) We got this at the TB Outlet. My BIL (who is escorting me down the aisle) - Black leather Coach travel accessories bag. Got this at the Coach Outlet. Brendan's sisters (who will be translating the ceremony) - Coach passport covers. I didn't like the one they had at the Outlet, so I went with the one in the retail store. Brendan's nephew (our ringbearer) and my new nephew (who isn't going to the wedding but I don't care, I wanted to get him something anyway - LOL!!!) - Silver starfish cufflinks My two sisters (both are MOH), my mom, my niece (my flower girl) and me - Tiffany's starfish necklace. I was originally going to get the big one for us and the little one for my niece, but when I got to the store yesterday, the big one was WAY TOO BIG, so I ended up getting the little one for all of us. Here it is. Tiffany & Co. | Item | Elsa Peretti® Starfish pendant, mini mini. Sterling silver. | United States That's it. I'm so glad this in finally done.

I guarantee that you'll be pleasantly surprised. The initial measurements scared me, but 2 weeks later they were less, and 8 weeks later, I've lost 2.5" off my waist and 2" off my hips! Even the weeks when the scale didn't move, the tape measure did. I would suggest only measuring twice a month though, as it doesn't change as rapidly as the scale. In any case, it sounds like you're doing great! Stick with it and don't get discouraged! Force of habit - I weighed myself again this morning. It was only afterwards that I remembered I wasn't suppose to be doing this anymore - only on Saturday's. Oh well. No change in my weight from yesterday so that's ok. I didn't work out last night. I ended up working late and then I actually did some wedding stuff (bought all the bridal party gifts.) By the time I got home, it was late and I figured since I worked out 4 days in a row, I could take a break. Jen - I will try the tape measure. On Saturday, after I weight myself, I"ll measure myself too. Then, like you said, I won't do it again for at least 2 weeks and see how I do. Oh boy, I'm scared!!!! By the way, have I mentioned how much I LOVE the Lean Cuisine Panini's. My goodness, they are soooo good. My favorite is the Steak, cheddar and mushroom. I could eat that one everyday. And it's only 290 calories. YUM!!! -
Christine, I just made my donation. Sorry it's late. Please let me know if you didn't receive it.

Okay - I'm off to work out...... Yeah Betsy!!!! Good for you. It's so great to get new people on this thread who are serious about losing weight and want the motivation. I worked out again last night (1 hour on the treadmill, 150 crunches and 20 leg lifts with each leg.) But Jen, you're right about that scale thing. I need to stop it. I gained back a half pound today (don't ask me how) and it pissed me off to see it. So starting now, I'm only going to weigh myself on Saturday's (let's see how long this lasts.) Keep up the good work ladies. And keep drinking that water!!!! -

You had a rough month, last month. And I can totally see getting lazy now that you've changed the wedding date. But trust me, the more you do now, the less you'll have to do later. You can do it!!!! Start small. Sometime like, giving up the soda or doing leg lifts at night. Small changes are what helps get you back on track. I have a little over 3 weeks left so I really need to pay attention to my diet. I am 12 days with no soda though!! Jen - You are totally motivating me to focus. Thanks!!! Kate, you're doing soooo great!!! 12 days is sooo awesome!!!! I'm at 41 days now - never thought I would make it (I really miss my diet coke). One day at a time though, right? -

Jen, I haven't used a tape measure yet. That sounds too scary (LOL!!!) But it's a great idea. I just don't think I'm there yet. I agree that everyone should only weigh themselves once a week, but I can't. I'm obsessed. It's so bad. I just can't help it - I get on the scale every morning and sometimes again at night after I workout. It's a sick obsession really. Well, I worked out Friday, Saturday and Sunday (an hour on the treadmill & 100 crunches each day.) And as of this morning, I've officially lost 10 full pounds. I finally got over that 2 pound hump and I've lost an additional 2 pounds - FINALLY!!! It feels so GREAT!!! How did everyone do this weekend? -
Well, you know I LOVE it all!!!! The invitations, the OOT bags, your DRESS (WOW), the cookies, and the maps (LOVE them!!!) I LOVE it ALL!!!! You're going to have such a fantastic time. Everything is going to be so great. Have fun, enjoy it and make sure you check in ASAP with pics and your review. I can't wait to hear all about it!!!!

I visited my niece and nephew last night so I didn't workout. I didn't even do my own challenge of crunches. Oh well, at least I stuck to my calorie goal for the day (actually I was a bit under.) Tonight I'll be on the treadmill for an hour and then I'll do my crunches. I weighed myself this morning and I'm back to an 8.5lbs weight loss. Now, I just have to keep up with it this weekend so I don't put any weight back on. And I have to say, Brendan is SOOOO good. I know he wants us to go out to dinner tonight but he'll stay home and just watch TV so I can do my workout and stick to my calories. He's so supportive when I'm dieting. What a guy!!! -

OH SNAP!!!! I went to lunch today with a friend of mine that I haven't seen in about a month and she said, "You look good, you lost weight." Of course I had to hug her right there in front of everyone. Even though the scale isn't really moving, I think the working out, calorie counting and no diet coke are making some kind of progress. YIPPEE!!! -

So, I don't know if it's this thread or what, but this is the first time in a loooooooonnnnnngggggggg time that I've actually done 5 days of cardio in a week. WHOOO HOOO!!!! Worked out again last night on the treadmill (1 hour = 750 calories, plus 100 crunches.) I weighed myself this morning and I'm still struggling with those 2 pounds. Geez, this is annoying. Apparently I'm really good at maintaining, just not losing. LOL!!! I plan to workout again tonight and since I don't have a lot going on these next 7 days, I should be able to workout everynight. That should help me make some progress. And don't forget, the challenge for these next 7 days is to do crunches every night. Come on ladies, we can do it!!!! Hey, where's Kash - she hasn't been on here in awhile -

I'm being lazy again tonight - if I didn't have to go out in the cold to go to the gym, I think I would work out... On a good note, I lost another 2 pounds! I'm not entirely sure how, since I haven't really been exercising in the past week, but I've been good with the calories. I need to get back to the gym. Will try tomorrow, but if not, definitely Friday. I'm with Jenvh on this one - if I don't start going again, I'll get into the rut of NOT going. My first dress fitting is the weekend after Thanksgiving, so I need to be good. Should be good incentive not to pig out on mashed potatoes and such Wow Jen, you are daring to go for your 1st fitting right after Turkey day. But I guess it's smart too - keeps you in check during the holiday. All those years I was a member of the gym, I would barely go when it was nice out, forget about it when it's cold out. Brrrrr!!! I HAD to get that treadmill or my butt would do NOTHING. I agree too, if I skip more than one day of working out, I'll lose focus. I need to workout almost every night to make sure I stay on top of it. -
That's so AWESOME!!!! Congrats!!!!
