There is another bridal place not far from there called RK Bridal. The address is 318 W. 39th Street (b/w 8th & 9th Avenues.) They have EVERYTHING and they're really nice in there too. It does get crowded so sometimes you have to wait for a fitting room. But when you get there, you sign up for a changing room and then start looking at the dresses on the racks. They have them separated by designer so if you know a specific dress that you want to try on, it makes it easy. You can even call ahead of time to make sure they have any specific dresses that you want to see. Totally understand about lunch. I figured you were going with a bunch of people. You're going to have so much fun!!! -

So we have a mini fridge in here stocked with cold diet coke. Argh! I may also start drinking iced tea (unsweetened of course) as a replacement. It isn't the caffiene I am trying to quit so much as the chemicals and artificial sweeteners in the diet coke. I also think I may stop using splenda and go back to regular sugar. That's why I quit. It wasn't about the caffeine, it was about the artifical sweeteners that are SOOOO bad for you. Regular sugar is so much better for you. Quote: Originally Posted by cheese_diva Yeah Jen! Alyssa, where specifically are you going to look for dresses? Maybe we can meet up for lunch or something? -

Well, I meant to workout last night but when I got home I got side tracked with other things. I will get on the treadmill tonight though. I haven't been on it in about a week so I need to work up a sweat tonight. -

But part of me is saying yeah, so why was this one so much cheaper? Why couldn't they find it last time? The lady was so pushy...did I rush into to paying them and forget to ask all the right questions? What are the questions I should have asked? Those type of things because my biggest fear (especially because I'm cutting it close) is that the wrong dress will come in or it won't come in time, etc... I need to get over it! The one thing I might do though to put me more at ease is since I got a good price on it...I may just call them and ask them to rush order it even if it's not necessary...I just am freaking out thinking that w/out rush it will be here late april maybe early may!!! I will need some alterations and that is just so close! Sorry so long! Ok, stop worrying!!! It's definitely natural to be concerned and worried after making a large purchase but just remember, the dress shop does this for a living. They know what they're doing. I wouldn't worry about the timing on when the dress is to come in. I'm sure they would have told you if you needed to put a rush order on it. I also wouldn't worry about if you asked the right questions, etc. Not all dresses are expensive, so don't worry. You got a great deal, you're going to be fine and your dress is going to look SMASHING on you. Relax now and move on to something else on your To-Do list.

For the past 2 weeks, I have limited myself to one 24 oz at lunch time. I had BIG headaches at first, but I feel better. In a month or two I will probably switch to a can (12 oz) at lunch. And, lets note - these were not diet. The dietician I work with said I have probably cut 1500 to 2000 calories a day! WOW! Wow - 2000 calories a day You must be losing so much weight. I wish I had drank regular soda, then I would be losing a lot of weight too. LOL!!!! One other thing about the headaches . . . I had them too, not too bad, but they will go away after a few days. Just get some Excedrin and STOP DRINKING THAT SODA!!! You can do it!!!

I pick my dress up this coming Monday, and I've put on 2lbs over the holidays. I was really good for Thanksgiving, but x-mas did me in. Too much good stuff at work! I need to get back to the gym though... As an aside, between this thread and a lot of hard work, I lost 15lbs in 2.5 months, and a total of 25 this year! Holy Crap Jenn!!! That's AWESOME!!!! You did such a great job. I hope you enjoy your wedding and honeymoon and PIG OUT!!! You TOTALLY deserve it. -

She lost 40 pounds and looks FANTASTIC!!! Although Kirstie Alley also did an AMAZING job with Jenny Craig, Valerie looks SOOOO GREAT!!!! I am so inspired to call Jenny now.

I have to say, the first few weeks coming off of it are the worst. It was soooo hard to pass it up. We still keep cans of it at home but I just grab a bottle of water instead. The hardest part was when we would go out to eat. I LOVED to have diet coke with a burger or BBQ. Now, I just drink water and honestly, I feel better. Soda used to make me more thirsty and bloated. Water helps fill me up better so I eat less, plus it helps flush everything out. If you can get passed the first 2 weeks, you can do it!!!

For those of you that are trying to kick the habit, I HIGHLY suggest quitting cold turkey. It worked for me and I used to LOVE my diet coke. As of 12/31/07, I have officially been Diet Coke free for 3 months!!! I definitely feel less bloated and I'm not even missing it anymore. My original plan was to reward myself with a diet coke once I reached my weight loss goal, but now I think I'm going to try and go a whole year without it. Good luck to all of you who are trying to kick the habit too.

Wow - it's been awhile since anyone has posted on here. Thought I would bump this up, now that the New Year is here and has motivated me to get back on track. I haven't been too good with exercising and eating for about a week now and I need to get back into it. Starting today, I plan to workout 7 days a week until I get to my goal. I know that's a lot but when I say workout, I mean either cardio, weights or abs. I want to do a least SOMETHING everyday. Also, one other positive thing - as of 12/31/07, I have officially been Diet Coke free for 3 full months!!! I don't even miss it anymore. YIPPEE!!! How is everyone else doing? What are your plans to stay/get back into shape this year? -
OK, this is the best thread EVER!!!!!! Thanks!

OMG!!! Congratulations!!! That's awesome. He's just ADORABLE. Enjoy every minute!!!!
