  1. Dear Luky, I understand all your points. The most important things before defining an all inclusive vs and hotel will be 2 things: 1. How much you want to invest in your wedding 2. How much your guests are willing to pay for one night room per person. Based on that it will be much easier to define which way will be better for you if you want to keep all your guests together for a wedding weekend of celebration instead of heading in different directions. Happy Planning!
  2. Hello Jade, Congrats on your up coming wedding! If you get married in Mexico, our suggestion will be to hold a ceremony 1:30 mis. before sunset. At that time, the sun is not strong, the ocean breeze is nice and if your ceremony is facing the ocean it will be not hot. You have to consider also, if you are having a second ceremony or of your ceremony is at the same resort or perhaps in a Chapel in town, then times will have to change. Also, if you want to have your photo session prior the ceremony or after ceremony, you always have to talk with your photographer before defining the ceremony time. Just remember that 2 hours before sunset, sun still very strong and your guests might not want to be on the sun if there is no tent. Do not forget to consider some bug spray against mosquitos if you are near the mangrooves or during mosquito season (July to September) On September 2014 sunset is around 7 pm. you can check it out here: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/astronomy.html?n=923&month=9&year=2014&obj=sun&afl=-11&day=1 Happy planning!
  3. Hello ladies! I like Marvin's flowers (Maya Floral) a lot! We are located in Playa del Carmen they are located in Cancun, but I prefer his services because quality vs prices, besides he comes to the Mayan Riviera every day. He has great reviews and you can find his reviews in the following thread: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/products/category/florists There is Vanessa Jaimes in this thread too and even if she does not have any review yet, she is amazing! Happy planning!
  4. Hello Lizzie! Erica & Maria are right! There are many options to hold a ceremony in the area, and many other options instead of the Gazebos or Chuppah. Here are our suggestions: 1. If you want to stick in an all inclusive resort, our favorite will be the Hacienda Tres Rios because they have many different options among the nature to hold a ceremony. 2. If you are looking for a private location Secret Jewel will be our favorite option. 3. Cenotes will be an amazing option with a 100% original mayan Shaman you can have an ancestral ceremony. I am attaching some photos, links and videos from all the options above. Happy planning! http://delsolphotography.com/blog/content/galleries/?gal=260 http://www.abrilliantphoto.com/blog/pamela-david-•-las-ranitas-tulum-mexico/
  5. Hello Tami, Congrats in your upcoming wedding. Unfortunately due to the many weddings performed in the AI hotels it is usual to have a break of hours after the ceremony which i found weird too. In that case you might ask your on site wc at the Hotel to have your ceremony after sunset, perhaps it is already dark but I would prefer 1000 times to have a romantic ceremony on the dark where you can illuminate with lots of candles that at 2 pm. under the sun and with a really hot weather. BUT I understand if you do not. For your photo session you can have it just before sunset and then godirectly to your ceremony. It could be more expensive because you will have to invest in lighting for the Gazebo and in candles but I think it could be very romantic and a better option. I am attaching a 2 photos of our night ceremonies. Regarding the deco, you can PM me and I will be happy to send you our catalogue, perhaps you find something for your BOHO wedding. Best Regards,
