Hello! To hold a wedding will be nice to rent a private villa in Playa del Secreto but if you want to host 100 people you will have to book several villas (I m sorry i do not know if i get your wueation). So, i suggest to hold the wedding at a villa and stay there with you closest friends and family and suggest all your guests to stay at The Iberostar Playa Paraiso (AI), El Dorado (AI), Mayan Paalace (time share) or all can stay in the Hotel El Cid which is in Puerto Morelos all of them 10 minutes away from Playa del Secreto!! Best Regards, Yazmin.

Hi!! I will highly suggest Aida Tantandell. She is in the Constituyentes Av. the second most important avenue in Playa del Carmen downtown. She is infront of other beauty parlors, subway and a bank. You will find her beauty parlor easyly. She and her sister LiLi great! and they are even better with the make-up! They had been working with tv stars like (Catherine Z Jones, Salma Hayek, Antonio Banderas and the italian singer Laura Pauisini when they were filming or singing in Mexico). Their phone number is (52)-87 33 910 and they charge more less 200 usd. if you want them to go to your roo hotel. Another GOOD one is an italian that does not speak very good english but she is also great is Ana. Her phone number is 52- 984 116 79 73 She is not expensive and also goes to your place. She is great!! I hope this will work out for you!!! Best Regards, Yazmin.

Hi!! Yes you can basically ask your florist the type of flower you would like to have and she will get it for you. Just please do not forget to ask the price, otherwise you will get a surprise!! I do not suggest the tulips because (it will work maybe for your bouquets) but not for centerpieces because with the heat they fast died! Best Regards, Yazmin.

Hello! The hurracaine seasson starts from May to November. September use to be the rainy month but not anymore... nature have changed so bad that when it supposed to be rainy or windy is not any more... besides here in the caribbean you never now sometimes is raining in half of the hotel and in the other half is sunny...it is like a gamble!! If you get or not the wedding insurance or writing contact the most important thing is in case of rain is your ACTITUDE... when bride and groom starts crying and yelling and being nervious because of bad weather the whole party will react like them... if you take it with calm and start playing under the rain it could even be fun!! everything depends on you!! you are the one who make the rules that day! However for the mayans the rain was a blessing and means good luck!! So good luck and don't stress yourself so much with the rain thing!! Regards, Yazmin.

Shells..
Yazmin De La Mora replied to MrsV-to-be's topic in Destination Wedding in Riviera Maya, Cancun & surrounding areas
Hello! I have been living in the area for almost 8 years and yes we have several sea stars and conch shells in Isla Mujeres, Cancun, Cozumel and Playa del Carmen, they are quite stinky and big but if you put them on the sun the smell will go away! I do not know if they let you bring shells into Mexico but i know they always suggest (at the airport and some hotels) not to be taken away from Mexico because it goes against the nature! I think that the best and cleanest idea would be to buy the plastic ones but that will have to be in your country because here in Mexico there is no plastic ones! If you decide to buy them you can deal or negociate a good price with the vendor so you can return it with the supplier and in this way you will contribute that they will not kill more!! and if you know a mexican person that can deal with them you will get a better price for sure!!! Whatever your decision will be, your centerpieces will look beautiful with shells!! Good Luck! Yazmin. -
Hello! I am a WC in the Riviera Maya and I know at least 2 different catholic english speaking priests (1 is irish and the other one mexican). I am sure that they can help you to find an english speaking priest in Cancun. I do not have their phone numbers with me now but let me know if you are interested. However you must know that a catholic ceremony can not be hold in any place but in a church but we can always arrange to have a catholic renew of vows as a ceremony on the beach in your wedding date. If you do not mind, there are several non denominational Pastors who can hold english speaking ceremonies! I hope this serves a little bit! Good Luck! Yazmin.
-
Hello! You just have to consider also what type of ceremony you would like to have because in Mexico for a legal ceremony you must be 3 working days prior your arrival date! However it would be much better to be you the one who is arriving the first in order to have enough time to arrange all details... if so, you can count your 4th. day of stay to be your wedding date. I hope i was clear enough!! Good luck!! Yazmin.

I more thing!! Do not get confused!!! Mariachi (at least 7 people in a band) is not the same that a TRIO (3 musicians) and 1 hour means a set of 45 minutes singing and 15 resting!!!! watch out!!!!! Maybe you will never find out becuase you are not counting he time but your WC can ask them to sing longer for the whole hour and maybe they will.... Regards,

I was turned off when I noticed it was the same people...felt very cheated On the flip side, it made for very good pictures!!! Do not feel cheated!! it works like this!! When the resort has musicians playing every night in their restaurants the price that they charge for playing in an event is not so high... so you do not have to pay what normally the musicians charges outside the resort!!

My friend went there for a broken wrist and received good, affordable care. I am agree with Paul. Hospiten is the best one here in the Riviera. In Cancun there is also one and much more! Some hotels have a concesion with the Hospiten Hospital and their medical services on site are from there. You should not worry about getting sick during your stay but just make sure to have an insurance, otherwise it could be very expensive! Good luck! Yazmin.

I have worked with so many Mariachi bands in the Riviera Maya that i think that $700 usd. is a great price for a set of 45 minutes (1 hour)!!! Here in the Riviera the Mariachi band is much more expensive!! If you find one of $700 usd you have just to make sure that they are "good" and that they are at least 7 people in the band otherwise it will be a waste of money!! Regards, Yazmin.
