Blue Lens Caribe - Photographer
Yazmin De La Mora replied to marny61's topic in Riviera Maya and Cancun Wedding Vendors
Hello! I have worked in many weddings with Blue Lens and they are very reliable vendors! Best Regards, -
Hi there! Last Saturday (March 5th. 2011) we had the honor to "Coordinate and Cater" the wedding of Gala & Daniel and their 131 guest´s at Le Reve Hotel! It has been a very pleasant and successful event. Definitely something we want to repeat quiet more often. The whole event and in particular the food has been amazing and beautiful! Arlenis as an on site wedding coordinator was sweet and helpful, we enjoyed working there. You should consider to hold your wedding at Le Reve. Best Regards,

Dance Floors for Rent!
Yazmin De La Mora replied to adridashanne's topic in Riviera Maya and Cancun Wedding Vendors
Hi! In my experience prices for white vinyl will be the same that the acrylic ones. Prices depends on how big is the dance floor and maybe will be of 500 usd. for no more than 50 people but the transportation to Palladium from Cancun will be the expensive part of it! Best Regards! -
beach lounge furniture
Yazmin De La Mora replied to dreamyeyez's topic in Riviera Maya and Cancun Wedding Vendors
Hello, There are plenty of vendors that offers lounge and other furniture. You just have to watch out who your vendor is, if they are reliable or not because the lounge gets dirty or broken very easily. For my weddings I supervise every 4-6 months the conditions of the lounge to make sure they have a good maintenance. So do not go just with the photos because they can be old! Good Luck! -

MAC Cosmetics in Playa
Yazmin De La Mora replied to jesmcan's topic in Riviera Maya and Cancun Wedding Vendors
Hi Ladies, Doing your make up on your wedding date in MAC is a great idea if your hotel is right next to Ultra Femme store BUT if you are not, it is much better to do it at the comfort of your room. However, besides Fernando and Julius who are ex-mac make up artists or like Julius that still working for MAC all over the world, there are make up artists that offers great quality and also uses MAC products like Aida, Ilka or Sara Tamargo! All my best and good luck! -
Dear Brides, I am SO SORRY to hear bad things about a vendor. That is why I am happy to inform you that due to other complaints that I have heard before from clients about other wc or vendors in the area, two years ago, my partner and husband, Arwed Lentz and myself, got the idea to create an association to help the Brides that want a "Safe Destination Wedding" to have a referral about which vendors are Professional and reliables and wich are not. It is a civil non profit association constituted last year in Playa del Carmen: "Association of Professional Independent Wedding and Event Coordination in Quintana Roo" (ACIBEP). The association is going to offer updates about the wedding business and will invite WC to take courses and certifications in order to avoid the non professional WC in the area and keep the Destination safe from non reliable WC and vendors. When you have a Destination Wedding you have some "safe" options for choosing your vendors: - To trust in your Hotel's vendor. Which not all the hotels are reliable since some of them, let the entrance of some vendors, only if they get a commission, regardless the quality of their services) - To hire a Professional WC. Which is wise because more than an expense is an investment since she will be the responsible to hire only reliable vendors for you and be there with you all the time, before, during and sometimes after the wedding date for a stress free wedding. - If you decide to plan your own weeding. Then ask for "real" references and "real" photos from your vendors so you do not have to take the risk. A Professional WC will be always responsible for all the vendors and it will be much easier if you trust on the vendors she is suggesting because it is very difficult to coordinate vendors that she does not know or trust. That is why I do not believe in the "day of coordination" since it can not be possible to coordinate a bunch of vendors that you do not know how they work in one single day, in that case you can do it for at least one month but not less. Please remember that when you hear about certain service is half of price that the rest of the vendors, it should be something wrong or hidden! I have some brides that tells me: "Yazmin, I have found a transportation that is 30 usd. cheaper that the price you are giving me" Then I say: "What is the model and year of the Van?, Does the air conditioned is working?, What about the smell, is good? and the driver? is he dress properly and will behave well, not asking for tips or show up drunk?..." There are so many details behind the price and vendors and sometimes brides do not think about it... and that is why we are there for. We will keep you posted about the association that is already conformed by other 3 well known Professional WC in the area but you will be notice properly by this forum, to not being seen as advertising. All our Best, Yazmin De La Mora Torreblanca

I have done an extensive research on suppliers and meet them while on my site inspecion so contact me should you need any. Hello. This is an "issue" with all the hotels (most of the all inclusive) adding "comissions" over the suppliers fee. In my case, we have an alliance with hotels and suppliers so we can offer better rates than hotels and the same price as vendors. Is important to mention that we are creating an association. The main goal is to protect the brides and the area as a destination. Soon we will let you know about it. Best Regards,

Hello everybody, I had a wedding on May 2nd, I have another this weekend for 11 people (from USA supposed to be for 25 people) and another for 250 people on May 16th. (mexicans) so far nobody is sick or in "panic" in the Cancun, Tulum or Riviera Maya area. All the canadiens or USA citizens that are here are realizing that this is just a sensationalizing advertising against Mexico. Please do not believe always in what media says! Best Regards,

She is very affordable and much better tcomparing with other "affordables" photographers that some of my brides booked. I have worked with her in 2 weddings with happy customers. It was long time ago so I do not have the referrals. Ask her for client references and testimonials. Best Regards,

Normally you do not have to be here in advance and need just your complete names. It depends on the officiant if you can exchanges your vows or add some symbolic items like sand ceremony, unity candles or others. I suggest to ask directly to the officiant how much time you have to do it. Best Regards,
