Hello Mark82, I can imagine how difficult it could be for you being so far away trying to get that info. You can find it through your wedding planner on site. Talk to her and she supposed to do everything for you if you are buying the wedding package from the hotel. Otherwise it will be very difficult for you because people at the Registro Civil offices does not speak english or do not have internet. So you will have to contact directly the Justice of the Peace himself... I personally never had to translate any birth certificate, I do not know why they are requesting you that! However, the better way will be via your wp on site. Good Luck!
