Mo is right. Some rooms had a true king others are 2 beds pushed together, my poor daughter got stuck in the crack of the bed sharing it with her sister and there friend that went down with us. No one wanted to sleep on the pull out couch so the 3 girls shared the bed.

WOW MO!! Your quick! I was soooo excited when we got ours in the mail too but I have not gone to change my name yet...lol To many things to do and not enough time. Oh and by the way mo, Did you feel alittle depressed when you came home? I missed the planning and the excitment of it all. So now iam busy planning for our vaca in mexico in may...lol

I would think it would be fine too. Just pack it in your checked luggage.

Oh I know how you feel, We were leaving on a Monday and my inlaws booked the friday before and my aunt booked just under 2 weeks b 4. The price that they paid was crazy... and inlaws couldn even get a room at the Riu, they stayed at jamaica grande. So I would hold off on making anything yet. I know its hard, but u dont want to waste money either on supplies u wont need.

Hi I have been to Jamaica 3 times and the Riu once before our wedding. We loved it so much we wanted to bring our families there to expierience it.

Hi I just had the Free wedding last month. Its only 200.00 for ministers fee's,I am not sure how much the Judge costs are but I THINK its the same. So it would be cheaper to do the free wedding compared to the classic wedding. But I also THINK that you have to have a mininum amount of rooms. Is it 5 ladies? They do have this info on the Riu website.,As fas as what else you have to do... You really dont have to do anything before hand. Its as casual as you want. But either way they have to have your documents 30 days before so they can get your wedding license. You can scan them and email them if you need to.

I highly recommend just getting the free package and adding on from there. I booked the royal but switched to free once we met with chandlyn. We saved 475.00 and the ONLY thing we did not get with the free package compared to the royal package was the spa treatment. I also DONT recommend staying at the sandles resort , right next door to the Riu, you wont want to go there after seeing it from the Riu....lol

The only thing I know about The Bahia resort is that there is still constuction going on as of 3 weeks ago, but the lobby area is pretty.... Our driver had to stop at the Bahia for a min and thats about all we saw.....

Hey Mo, So happy you are enjoying things so far. Chandlyns office is right in the lobby, I walked in and out of her office a few times without an appointment. BUT I did have an appointment for our first meeting that I made before we left, I reccomend that. But if you just go to the front desk they will show you what door to go through to her office. She was always in there when I popped in and out a few times. Just walk right in, they wont hear you if you just knock on the door because her office is upstairs and the doorway is towards the bottom of the steps.

Mo, When are you guys leaving? Do you have everything packed? When I checked in I told them I booked the Royal package and was looking foward to the upgrade... Then they just upgraded us. But I did tell them right at checkin before they gave us our room.

Hi, I made my appointment the day after I arrived at the Riu. No deposit required. They seem to allready know when the weddings are and there was time for me. They tell you what time, according to what time your wedding is. So my wedding was 2pm and they told me 11am, so this way they would be done with the 12 wedding by the time I came in. Then alittle bit after they started with me, the girls for the next wedding after mine started coming in. My appointment was for hair only I did not get my nails done here.

Yep, funjet has transfers. The only time you will not have tranfers is if you book the hotel direct or with say expedia or travelocity. All the tour operators have them included in resort areas.

Call her to make sure, Do you know what your TA booked through? Apple funjet,gogo? Those packages all have transfers

Hey Heidi, I had 1 long table because there was only 19 of us. But there was another reception going on when I was there and they had like 5-6 tables on a slant with I think 6 people at each table. I really wasnt paying attention because it was my reception too but I did take notice because it looked nice for a bigger group......

Hi I was just wondering what resort is transporting you to/ from airport. The Riu has no transportation, not sure about the others. We used Jamaica tours for our transportaion that was included in our package from GOGO vacations, but we had enough of us traveling together that we didnt need to stop at other hotels or use private transfers.They have a website and Lee's taxi and tours have been talked about a lot on this website and travel advisor I am sure youcould find a # or website for them on this site with a search. I think MO is using them.

Hi Girls, No I didnt post any pics of the disco. I didnt take any in there. It doesnt open until 11 and most nights we were just about passed out by then. We preferred listening to the live band or the DJ outside in the theater area until we went to bed about 1130 or so...
