  1. Hi, I am posting this thread because I know there will be so many brides interested on this destination: San Carlos, Sonora. It’s really beautiful, its the dessert mixex with the beautiful Sea of Cortez. I was amazed to be there, precisely I went to a beautiful wedding at Marina Terra Hotel ( t the Beach Club) and it was just perfect!!! The cozy and beautiful Catholic Church is next to the hotel, the marina is so gorgeous.... you will love it. Check it out, you might be interested if you haven’t decided your wedding location. San Carlos, Sonora, Mexico Edna PS I have pictures ,but cant post them due size but in case somebody wants them , PM.
  2. Thank you Amy you have been very helpful for me too!!! Regarding Vinoteca they are a very well known store, they have a very large and nice selection of wine, liquour, and they also offer frozen flavor margaritas and martini bar with a charge per guest. I am asking for a quote, as soon as I have it I will let you know the details.... Edna
  3. If you are going to have a corkage fee and need wine for your party, Vinoteca is a vendor of liquor and wines , they have a store in PV , Cancun and some other places and they will sell in consignment and all the bottles you don't use , you cant return them without a charge ( except white wine!). Here is the site its on spanish, but I think they will have somebody to speak english: Vinoteca - Su Asesor en Vinos Edna

  9. Amy: the less expensive charges 500 USD , his name is Pepe Villarreal and here is his email : [email protected] Edna
  10. I have info of a DJ named Saul Perales he was the DJ at Christine's ( PV Club) and now is DJ at one club in SF. He charges 1500 USD per 5 hours. If you want his email PM me and will provide it. He was the DJ at one of my co-workers wedding and everybody said he was really good! But I think its kind of expensive if you have band and the DJ just for downtimes and the "tornaboda" ( post wedding party in spanish!) I am having also a band and DJ but I think I will go with a less expensive one. Edna

  12. Thank you for all your comments and it’s seems Dreams is being out of the plan due the slow response from the WC. So we will decide between Vallarta Palace and Mayan Palace... in case somebody has pictures of weddings there can u pls share? That will help a lot!
  13. In Mexico the religious ceremony is not valid for legal purposes, so that’s why you need to be married under the law ( we called civil marriage) and if you have a particular religion you can get married under it , and its really common to have Priests or Ministers that are bilingual on the tourist areas. Hope this can help you!
  14. Great prices and ideas! thank you for sharing! Edna
  15. Thank you Tara for your comments, we loved the Vallarta Palace but the reception needs to end earlier than the Mayan Palace ... Mayan Palace I dont know about the hotel is it nice? The pictures of the hotel installations are not real good I will check on Caletas, the only thing we have to check is if they can acommodate large weddings, we will have around 150 people! Edna
