  2. We are estimating having about 60 guests. I have talked to a few girls that have done wonderful weddings there for around $10K, but, we are planning on spending a little more on some of the extras.
  3. Mikki, Let me know if you have any more questions. I can't say enough great things about this place

Not really. We signed a contract that said we would pay for any unbooked rooms in full, if they were not filled. We also paid a deposit, but it was just to secure the hotel for the week. Does that make sense?
  5. Just remembered - I think Adam said he is on vacation until the end of next week. If you don't fill the 18 room block, you are still responsible for paying for the unbooked rooms. That part really scared me, but it ended up working out just fine. We were surprised at the number of people who decided to come.

So we're doing guitar keychains for the placecards and the table numbers will be the a famous older-generation musician (Frank Sinatra, etc...) and the table number cards will have a quote from love songs from this era of music. As for other ways of being creative (beyond the DIY invites and various other stationary), I'm sketching designs for our wedding cake and our table decor. That's about all I can think of for now... I LOVE how personal your ideas are! My FI plays guitar in a band and we were thinking about doing a guitar shaped grooms cake. Thank you for sharing! Oh, and Raydensmama, I love the parasol idea
  7. Welcome to the forum and congrats on your upcoming wedding! Jackie
  8. We are flying Delta. Check Kayak.com - it will compare all airlines for the lowest price. We considered using a TA, but set up a website with all the info instead - it has worked just fine. What dates are you considering? What package? Have you talked to Adam yet? Let me know all the details!!!
  9. Welcome to the forum, Misty! What locations are you considering??
  10. Snorkeling gear is a GREAT idea for OOT bags! Did you try Walmart or Big Lots? I am looking for cheap sets online, but so far they all look professional and expensive.
  11. I'll go first... For our table numbers, we are having pictures taken of us holding up signs with the numbers on them. Since, we are getting married in Mexico, the numbers will be in Spanish.(Uno, Dos, Tres, ect. ) That is about as creative as I have gotten, so far!
  12. Hi Girls(and Guys!)- I am constantly looking for "unique" ideas for our wedding ceremony and reception. Since there are such creative people on this board, I thought it would be fun to hear what everyone else is doing! So..Please share a creative, unique or fun idea(or two)from your big day! TIA! I can't wait to hear everyone's responses Jackie

  23. Hi Jaime, We are getting married at Playa Fiesta in February. We did a partial takeover package, which included breakfast and open bar for the week, and our guests are paying a grand total $1,660 for the 5 nights. We are getting married during high season, so the cost would be lower during the summer. To answer some of your questions - We also purchased a dinner and entertainment package, so that guests will stay busy(if they want to). We are doing karaoke at the bar one night, and having fire jugglers come another night. We are also doing a welcome dinner and our rehearsal dinner there. There is also a restaurant at the hotel, or guests can travel into PV to eat. And, we are planning a canopy tour (ziplining) for a daytime activity. We are estimating our wedding and reception costs to be around $15,000 - $20,000. But I believe that you could do a wedding there for MUCH cheaper. The beach outside of Playa Fiesta is rocky, but a short cab ride will take you to nicer beaches. Let me know if you have any other questions!! Jackie
