  1. I am looking for invites with a palm tree or palm leaf motif. I thought I had found the perfect ones, but when the sample came in the mail I didn't like it. So, back to the drawing board.. Has anyone come across any? Or know of a place that sells these? TIA!

    greetings

Welcome to the forum! I am a Puerto Vallarta bride as well. Have you picked a ceremony location yet?
  3. Your bags sound terrific! Your guests will love them. Can you disperse some of the bags contents to your family members to pack? That way you could avoid some of the shipping costs. Also, I like the idea of giving a bag to your WC. Maybe I will do that too!
  4. Thanks for all of your advice, girls! I seriously feel much better. Sometimes it helps just to get it all out I don't think she will find anything much cheaper either, so I guess I will just let her find that out herself. I will keep you updated on the situation!
  5. Welcome to the boards! Thanks for sharing the link..

LOL So I'm glad to hear it's not that, but still that totally sucks! You have every right to feel that way. She is your MOH and you need her there!!! Especially since you've already offered to pay for her plane ride. Man, that just stinks. Ha, ha! Now that would be REALLY REALLY sad!!
  7. Okay - here is my vent for the month! We have rented out an entire (small) hotel for our wedding week. The cost is $800 per person for five nights. This also includes open bar, breakfasts and entertainment. Not to mention, my parents are paying for three dinners throughout the week. My fiance and I also bought our wedding party plane tickets to help ease their costs. SOOO here lies the problem. MOH booked her room two months ago. All of a sudden, she e-mails me and says that she is going to cancel her room and find a cheaper place to stay. My feelings are really hurt. Especially since I have already bought her plane ticket to help her financially! And, if she cancels, we will ultimatley be responsible for her room until it is filled by someone else. (I should also mention, that she isn't coming to our engagement party b/c she has "other plans.") I know that I am over-sensitive about some things, but would this upset you?? What would you do?

    Hi Girls!

Congrats on your engagement, and welcome to the forum! I am a Puerto Vallarta bride, if you need any info.
  9. Thanks for sharing!! Already made templates are so great to have! I will try to post some of mine when I get home.
  10. I like your idea for colors! Our colors are hot pink and pale pink w/ lime green accents.
  11. That looks really good! I LOVE the white pants - where are they from??

  16. I just contacted the PV Tourism Board, and asked if they could send me any information on the city. They e-mailed me back right away, and were happy to send enough maps, brochures, and guidebooks for all of my guests. Yaaay!
  17. I have mentioned this on threads before, but The Mayan Encounter by Altournative was AWESOME! It combined several activities into one day, and was just so fun. My fiance and I travel all over and do tons of excursions, and we both agree this is the best one we have ever done!
  18. The back of my dress was very important to me also. I found a few dresses that I loved, but they didn't have THE back that I was looking for. As soon as I tried on my dress, I knew it was the one. It is by Allure Bridal and I paid $850, and will pay a few hundred more for alterations. Good luck shopping!

  20. We are in the process of organizing a Canopy Tour for our wedding guests. The problem is, there are sooo many canopy tour companies in PV. Does anyone have any recommendations?? Thanks! Jackie
  21. We will have our legal ceremony (just the two of us, shhhh...) in the U.S. and then have a symbolic ceremony in Mexico. Our WC said that this is very common. The costs are about the same, except for the $600.00 we would have paid for the paperwork, blood tests, ect.
  22. Good Question. I hadn't thought about tipping our WC, either. A few months before the wedding, we were going to send her a small gift to thank her for her work(so far, she has been great!)but maybe we will tip her too. Hmmm...
