  1. It looks like it's been awhile since this thread was active....I have used ww off and on again for a few years and it works when I'm on it!! For the last month I have been trying to stay under 1200 calories a day and exercise a little. I lost 3 lbsl the 1st week and then only 2 more for the rest of the month!!! Decent but I had hoped for more, probably because I have lost faster on ww before. I think I will break down and start paying for it again. I don't have time for meetings since I have work and school but I will do the online one...I really liked that the last time I did it. Who is joining me?? Also, to all you girls who previously posted...did you reach your end result?

Since we started talking to the hotel in 2006, we were able to order off of the "weddings 2006" menu. We are offering our guests three choices: duck breast, sea bass or chicken breast. The average price per guest WITH tip and tax is $85. The bar is another issue... their prices are so high! We have pretty much decided to pay by comsumption, but that makes me nervous. I'm going to have my WC keep an eye on the bar bill during the reception and let us know when we get close to our budget. We are planning on $6k for 70 guests. Hopefully, we won't come near that amount, but it's better to plan conservatively and have some $$ left over, right? Kay~ Yeah the bar prices are really high...My FI thinks we should do consumption too...but it also scares me...we only will have about 35 guests...but I will do the same thing put someone in charge to check the tab throughout the night...Plus since we will be in the suite...I am thinking since they want music off at 10pm we can cut off the bar and send them on their way and since they said we could have music but low past 10pm we can have more alcohol in the suite and bust that out afterward until everyone wants to go back....
  5. Oh and I reallly wanted some italian too...I will have to look into that... I definately think we need to compare notes and prices to make sure they are consistant....
  6. Sorry Jill, I didn't mean to scare you!! I did get your attention though! :0 Daniela acutally responded very quickly! I couldn't get Sonia to respond so quick.... I emailed her this menu and asked if I could get it for $50 a person...she said okay minus the jumbo shrimp....I told her it was rough but at least I knew she would work with me...I was afraid I only got to pick off of their pre-selected options.... FOR STARTERS Salad Greens w/ Roquefort cheese & pecan & fruit oil vinaigrette German-style Potato Salad with Apple Vinegar Clam Chowder served with Herb Crackers SIDE DISHES Cajun-style Roasted Potatoes Chili Beans Wild Rice w/ Cilantro Seasonal Vegetables CARVING STATION Baked Ham with Pineapple and Ceylon Cinnamon Mesquite-grilled Prime Rib with Tequila and Herb Sauce MAIN DISHES Chicken in Chipotle Chili and Apricot Sauce Mesquite-roasted Beef Arrachera BBQ Ribs in Smoky Sauce DESSERTS SECTION No Dessert (wedding cake-brought in from sweet dreams) $50.00
  7. I didn't read all the posts before I posted last....I got the prices thanks!

Melissa I would definately be interested in the prices!!!
  9. Is anyone doing this I don't know if a welcome dinner can fit in the budget...but I wanted to do something more for our guests besides the wedding.....
  10. I am just wondering what you are choosing for your dinner options. I am picky and I'm on a budget. I think I want to do a buffet because I feel like it's more food. However I don't like their set buffets so I just compiled my own buffet menu from all of their options and cut things out and reduced the price and emailed Sonia to see if that would work or what would work that is similar. Previously she told me that I can tell her exactly what I want and she will price it for me. Well apparently her out of office reply says she is out until Mid October (pregnancy maybe??) So it gave me an email to Daniela. I emailed her now and I have to wait until she gets back to me.... So I thought I would ask you girls and see what you are doing...
  11. Yeah Maye quoted me $270 for spanish guitar and $325 for Trio Mariachi.... The price difference isn't huge...but I haven't heard either one so I don't know....Plus, I am still wondering if we even need it...I am really leaning toward the ipod thing and I could use the $270 for something else.... We will see...
  12. Are you booking rooms at the cabo surf too or just having your wedding there
  13. Great review Kristin!!! That is all great info and I can't wait to see pics!

I still don't really understand it myself, but through this planning of mine I am realizing that some people just have no interested to go to Mexico. So I think the wedding part of it often gets overlooked when they are thinking and the Mexico/traveling becomes their primary focus and that is what the decisions are based on...
  15. No sooner did I submit the last post and I tried one more thing and it worked...so you all probably already knew this...but I was able to add a picture in my signature picture. I was trying to do the profile picture and that's the one that wouldn't work!! so, I don't really know what the profile picture is?? Who cares...I got the picture on there now! Does anyone know how to get the wedding day countdown thing??
  16. I think the bugs are worked out and so it must just be me...I just don't get it...oh well!!!
  17. Welcome!!! I believe there are alot of Cancun brides on here, so I'm sure you will get alot of help!!
  18. I know that dreams does do this...but I don't know much about it. I emailed with Yessica at dreams and she said that it costs like $50 to use the bonfire and then if you want like drinks, food etc...for a group then it's extra Hopefully someone has used this or has more info than i do...sorry, not a ton of help!

Hmmm...that's a good idea...you didn't have to pay at all? I know if we pay the base room rate, hey will upgrade us for free!!!

Don't worry about the hijack....I want to see the pics and read the review too! Ksief, So they didn't come during the day, but they cam at night to like eat dinner and drink and that cost $50 per person? Was that just for the wedding day or other days too?
  21. Julie~ You are right!!! I think we would all be a little more bridezilla... THIS SITE IS AWESOME!!!!! Thanks Tammy!!!
  22. I agree...I think Brad also feels a little neglected....I need to try and give him more attention...although that's not just because of this site...i just am not an extremely affectionate person so that is already something I have to work on....
  23. Quote: Originally Posted by lavalos Thanks Michelle! What service did you use to create your website? Lisa, I used wedquarters.com....I love it!! I can't make a decision to save my life....so I looked at so many of them before I decided. I really didn't want to have to pay for one because there so many that were free!! But for one thing I didn't want advertisements on it which you get with the free ones. Second, I wanted the page to be able to do alot of things since I am not even going to send rsvp cards w/ my invites...I am going to direct them to the website to rsvp that way and they even have a spot to do meal choices if I choose to go the plated dinner route. So I looked at wedding window alot and liked it but wedquarters seemed to do the same things pretty much...I think wedding window was a tad bit more enhanced but it costs like $50 more a year. Plus for me, I needed to have it hosted for over a year because I created it before my 1 yr mark....so I had to pay a tad extra but i believe it cost me $43 for 18 months...I chose to not pay for the domain name...so my website is hosted at Michelle Carlevato & Bradley Haley's Wedding Website - WedQuarters The only thing I wish it had for a feature is automatic updates. For example guests could mark that they want to be notified of any updates to the website but I can't seem to find that feature. I don't know if the other sites have it or not?? Long winded....sorry!
  24. Well one of the first things I did when I decided on a date was to do a wedding website. I thought this was the best way to provide info to our guests and to others who wouldn't be able to make the trip. I have put all the info I know so far on the website and it has rsvp features which I did one for the wedding and one for the wedding weekend itself and I noted if they could rsvp as to is they will make the trip or not that way i can get an idea. Well only my sister used that function and Know more people know that they are going.... Anyway, in order to tell people about the website, I just sent a mass email and said that for information on our wedding date, please visit this website. I think I am also going to send invites in the next month or so because for a DW i don't see the point in waiting until the traditional like 2-3 mo. before. By that time they should have probably already booked their trip.
