  1. Congrats!!!! How exciting for you guys!!
  2. So as I said, I dropped like 3,000 points into the lottery today and I WON!!!!!! yay!!! :)
  3. I am trying...but it's not growing very fast! ;( I made the mistake of chopping it off in september and I didn't think about it not growing. I am taking prenatal vitimans now hoping it will grow faster! :0
  4. That's funny....that is why I stopped playing....but now I have alot of points...so maybe I should splurge a little!
  5. I know they probably aren't necessary and I really hope my guests like them and are open to the idea of lessons at our wedding....but I just had to have them....I felt like I needed that little bit extra bit of difference! So I booked them through Maye and it is Susana and Armando. Yay!
  6. I ordered the 72 clear votives for $36...after tax it was like $50 something... i also didn't need 72, but I priced them all out in the stores around here and it was still chaper to get 72 then buy less here. I would be spending the same amount. So I figure i can find a place to use them and hey...you can always use clear votives around the house...
  7. I ended up ordering from them and the first order was somehow delivered to north carolina (I live in california) I contacted them right away and told them and they were already aware of the problem which was most likely ups's problem. So they already had the re-order ready to be shipped to me and said that I shouldn't have to wait until them and ups figured it out...so they are scheduled to arrive today!!! So I will update and let you know if they come and are all in tact... My point is...they have great and fast customer service...
  8. a band won't fit w/ my e-ring either...so I am not getting one..I figured that if I wanted something in a year we could do that...but I had just assumed that I would wear the band on my right and e ring still on my left...you gals have it the other way around...interesting that I am a little backward!

Thanks everyone!!! This makes me feel a little bit better for a couple reasons. now I really feel like I shouldn't use th box because like you said i wil end up paying anyway! Plus honestly, I hate dying my own hair! Second...I feel better knowing that hopefully next time she can get it lighter and then by the 3rd time (probably right before the wedding, it should be where I want it... I will stay w/ her until at least after the wedding and then if I like her still keep her and if not then go else where...
  10. Thanks Shelley....crap at this point with I spend on crappy coloring I should just fly out to you! But see this is where my confusion is...why don't these hairstylists know this?? Granted, maybe the first time they need to get used to my hair and I never like it so I never go back to the same person...but this time I will go back to her because I liked everything else...but she only get's 2 trys! She said that we can work towards making it lighter....so hopefully that is right too.
  11. Okay so I have the worst luck w/ my hair... I usually use box color during the winter and then get blonde highlights w/ dark color throughout in the summer. It seems that whenever I get my professional highlights done I don't like it and I don't know if it's just me not knowing exactly what I want or what but the blonde always seems to be brassy and not light enough. Now this last place i went to, I really liked the girl and she got the highlights small and natural like I wanted ect...but I still have the same color problem. She says it's because I had box dye on it and she doesn't know what's in the box and that it's having trouble pulling it up? Is this right? Or can she put a different level on it or leave it on longer or what It's so frustrating...because I want the blonde highlights for the wedding in 3 months and I want to make sure by then she can get it right?? HELP!
  12. I can feel for him..it's not fun at all to work so hard and not loose that much! However I guess we have to celebrate what we have lost and not what we haven't. Anything is better than nothing I gues... I have been at this diet/exercise thing for 7 weeks now and only down 7-8 lbs (fluctuate). Most of it was lost in the beginning...so my progress is halted! It's discouraging and I don't have answers...sorry.. I agree that he should talk to his leader and get some advice.
  13. I like the first and second one...but I really like the first! You look great in all of them! Don't get too discouraged...I had the same problem finding "the one" it will come eventually and for me it came after I ordered it and picked up "my" dress! Hang in there...
  14. It's good to hear that most people's guest are staying only 3-4 nights. I'm okay with it now but at first I thought gee that isn't very long...but I guess it is. anyway, most of mine are staying 3 nights, a few are staying 4 and one is staying 5...

I'm not sure how much time you will have, but I definitely think it is a great idea. That's a good point about time....hmm...I need to go through the timeline again...
  16. I read the reviews and it seems that this has not been very popular at the weddings. I mean those who had them said they loved them, but it seems that not so many people have had them or did not post about them. I wanted some hired entertainment at the wedding but the firedancers were almost $1000 and that's alot...so Maye quoted me $400 for dancers and lessons for 45-60 min.... So I think it would be a fun interactive activity but would appreciate everyone else's opinion...
  17. I think there is some confusion maybe... The $320 an hour is for what Maye calls a "trio mariachi" not the full mariachi. The full mariachi is like $550 an hour. I hear what you are saying though, I really wanted them for 2 hours...but I didn't want to pay the extra...so it will be a quick trip for them!
  18. That is very helpful info...it's just that the bar per hour per person is so expensive!!! so is the idea that since most people will drink the most in the beginning then you have per hour so it doesn't wipe you out by paying by consumption...?

I was going to make the top cake white w/ the brown ribbon and then have the h and 2 light pin gerbera daisies... but then Deena suggested that since the rest of the theme was pink and brown then maybe the top cake should be light pink instead of white and since I am a visual person and can't see it in my mind then I thought that the light pink flowers I was originally going to use would clash with the pink frosting....
  20. So you don't think the pink daisies would clash with the pink frosted cake??
  21. Okay so I am having cupcakes: 2 tiers of cupcakes (chocolate w/ light pink frosting) and one 6" top cake that wil be light pink frosting with a dark brown ribbon around the base. Question: If I wanted to use 2 gerber daisy tops for the cake topper, what color should I use...light pink or ivory? Or should I just forget the flowers and buy a monogram topper w/ a few jewels?
