  1. Found these at off broadway shoes the other day...I just stumbled accross this store, so I don't know if everyone has one near them? They are $19.99 so probably alot for oot bags for everyone, but I am going to buy one them for myself...just can't decide which one... I will probably get my sister (moh) one too for her oot bag since she is doing all the oot bags for me, she needs a different one that I do...
  2. We are not getting married in the sand but rather on the grass overlooking the sand and the water and I refused to pay for the arch because i'm el cheapo! So this is what we are doing instead...2 large flower arrangements at the front of the chairs by us to set the "alter" with the table off to the side for the sand ceremony and thats it....$100 for each arrangement was much cheaper than the the arch.
  3. Great thread! I was wondering this too because there has to be a way to communicate w/ everyone while we are down there and for people to call home or whatever. So if w want to call then we should contact our provider prior to leaving and add a mexico plan and if we want to text and we have unlimited text already (cingular) then it's nothing more...great to know!!
  4. Legal in Mexico...I don't mind blood and I thought it was kinda cool to have it done in spanish. Mainly though I wouldn't have been able to keep a secret and I would have felt bad making out guests go all the way down there if it wasn't the real deal. Not that this is the worst thing ever...but for guests, I know alot of them would fuss if they knew they could have just watched us get married locally. Everyone has different types of guests though...
  5. I watched all of them and it was so perfect!!! I have to say that I am just chuckling at your fiesta donkies! They are all lined up behind each othe... OMG!!! I love it!
  6. count me in!!! I was just looking at my list earlier and instead of checking off...I am adding things unchecked!!! Yikes!! Like you guys, it's all the small stuff so as hard as it is to think...it will all come together!!
  7. I love your pics....you looked so beautiful!!! I love the hats!!!
  8. Are you set on flower centerpieces?? If not, maybe your wedding coordinator or if you aren't having one of those the resort coordinator can get you a hurricane w/ a candle and sand like I and a bunch of others are using. I am renting mine from my wc for $12 each... Then if you still want flowers (I don't know what flowers you are using) you can use the tops only and place them randomly around the tables or rose petals
  9. I have to say that I like the missionary position...I like others too but I have to say you can vary this position and it can still be good! It probably doesn't hellp that I am drunk right now.... :0
  10. This totally sucks...but at least there is experience on the board!!!!
  11. Omg!!! corey I can't believe your wedding is here already!!! Your planning stuff is awesome! I love the idea of the frames w/ the b-day and the w-day! FI likes it too so I am so doing that! I also love your shoes...I totally want to get a crazy color shoe but I didn't think I should. You might have inspired me...but I still might be chicken...we will see Have a wonderful time and i can't wait to hear all about it!
  12. I just had to vent because I have already had to deal w/ like 3 coordinators there and this one was responding really quick and then lately it takes her at least a week to get back to me and the response is usually after I send her a second email!! So we are ready to sign our contract for food/beverage and I have sent her everything and am just waiting for her to send me what I need to read and sign and answer a couple questions. That was 2 weeks ago!!! I sent her a follow up one with a couple more questions because I didn't want it to seem like I am being pushy but come on now! 2 weeks!!!! I don't think so! My wedding is in less than 3 months!!!! I guess i am going to have to call mexico today and get crazy!!! It annoys me because I prefer everything over email!!! UGH! Sorry, just had to vent!
  13. I am with you on this...I actually will drink and go to a club or whatever but it's not my first choice..I would rather sit at home and play board games too! Plus alot of my friends are past the stage of "going out" and drinking so some of them said they would go to dinner, etc...but not to a club. My sister doesn't drink really...but the 2 friends throwing it for me love to drink and dance... I am going to tell them though that I want something mellow. These 2 ae the only 2 who will be in cabo so I figure we can drink and party there...and keep the bachelorette party mellow. I know winetasting won't work for you because of the alcohol, but I am thinking about that..maybe they have some other limo tour type of event in your area that doesn't have alcohol attached? Also, If I stick around locally, I was thinking maybe dinner and a comedy show? I love comedy shows and those who want to have a few drinks can and then the others don't have to and then you can end the night there or have everyone stay over in a hotel and have a slumber party! I also like the idea of the passion party (we did that for a friend of mines)
  14. I was actually thinking about selling/bargaining w/ Maye (my wc) for things like the votive holders I am bringing, the starfish, the starfish bouquet I bought etc... This way she can have them for future weddings and rent them out and people won't have to bring down and buy....
  15. My FI has a bad record and we can't combine our insurance right now and it irritates me because I work for SF and do insurance all day! This does stink! ;(
  16. This sucks!!! ;( My other one just fell off my record last January and now another. This time I have to make sure I do traffic school but I'm out about $200 now! UGH!!!!
  17. It didn't make sense to me at first either...but then if you really think about it, the resort has so many people staying there and eating at the few restaurants they have and if everyone was able to bring the big groups in (since they don't take reservations) then they wouldn't be able to service the other guests really well. So essentiall they are allowing/requiring you to make a reservation for a big party and they are pulling a set amount of wait staff and bartenders aside to take care of just your group so you get the best service ect....so it's makes sense to me now why they charge. the other thing to consider is if you have guests not staying at dreams, then you will have to pay the day pass for them so their cost would be $85 or $90 pp vs the $25-$30.
  18. It's an extra charge since it's a large group and they assign a staff to take care of you. I think it's like $25-$30 pp
