Saturday is the day we will be getting married. We have guests that are in Jamaica and some that will be flying out for the weekend.

Okay, I am going crazy. I am putting together my OOT bags and I am trying to decide if wedding favors should be given out at the end of the reception. The OOT Bags will be given at the welcome dinner and I am having a 4 hour reception for the day of the wedding. Some of family members are saying that we should do favors because people are going to be expecting them. We are only giving those that are staying at the resort OOT Bags so now I feel like I am obligated to give wedding favors. Not to mention we will be having between 85 - 95 guests!!!$$$ What are you guys doing regarding favors? and if you are giving favors, what kind are you giving?

Everything looks great. Your ceremony setup was beautiful it almost makes me want to change to the pond gazebo (too late for that). The Plantation setup was nice as well. I am going to have my reception there and was kinda nervous about the setup. How is the food there?

Loved your pictures. Robin did an excellent job. You guys had a ball and it truly shows!!!!

Congratulations!! You are so lucky to have the free upgrade to the Plantation. I know your guests were really thrilled with that. I'm glad everything went well even with the arguing couple a free upgrade came out of that as well. Good luck sweety!!!

I completely understand what you are going through. Three of my sisters which were bridesmaids have informed me that they won't becoming. My little sister said she has to worry about her prom (I told her I would help her pay for her trip but for her to show me that she would start it off) and my other sister said she thought we were paying for her to go (yeah right! I have 7 brothers and sisters if you pay for one you have to pay all). My moh called a few weeks ago and said she is sick and having surgery which happened today. I feel as if she will be all healed by the end of July. I think she is just using this as a partial excuse. I have replaced 2 of them but it still hurts me in the end. But what the hell? Don't let it ruin your day. Have fun and enjoy and that is exactly what I am doing!

I know I am late to this thread, but I must admit that I have been waiting for your review. Thank goodness it was a positive one (other then the vegetarian issues). Hey Heidi, That is a beautiful place for your TTD shoot. Did you guys go for a sunrise shoot or just during the day? I think I am going to let Robin know that is where I want to have our TTD shoot. How far is this from the resort? Thanks for the idea. I hate to steal it but it is lovely!!

I can't believe that happened to Robin. I am using her as my photograher and she sent me a similar email regarding the hard time she was having. Maybe I will change my package to the free package to try and avoid Michael. I also have an email from the Riu Wedding Department which I will be sure to have with me.

Heidi, I just want to say congratulations. I have been a member of this forum since around June 2007 and it was because of you that I even found this forum. It is crazy that I watched all of your planning from the beginning. I am so happy for you guys and I wish you the best. I love your TTD and reception gown. They are beautiful. I think I am going to get a gown like your TTD for my session the following day as well. I love the flowy look and you will look beautiful on your day. Robin Depaula is actually my photographer and I know she is going to do a beautiful job.

Hi Marsha, Everything looks beautiful and very nicely put together. I was wondering how you are going to pack all of your stuff and bring it to Jamaica? I also have a lot of stuff to bring and I am kind of in a jam because I don't know how I am going to transport it. Do you have any suggestions?

Hi Ladies, I was told only the Japanese restaurant is included with the jr. suite but if you go on the Riu website it states that the following is included: * "Sir Richard" gourmet restaurant (Ã la carte) * "Tushima" Japanese restaurant (Ã la carte) * Grill and steakhouse in the "Mammee Bay" restaurant (Ã la carte; buffet starters and dessert) My friend is using a different TA then we are and she called and they told her it was only the Japanese. I am waiting to hear back from my TA now regarding this issue. Does anyone know the actual truth?

Does anyone know if the Riu Ocho Rios has a wifi connection? I know that they have the internet available for a fee I believe of $9 for half an hour, just not sure about the wifi. If they do have wifi what company supports the connection? My fiance wants to know this, I could really care less!!!

Just to give you guys a heads up Liberty Travel is having a huge sale this month for Riu Ocho Rios. It is called the "March Madness Sale" my travel agent rebooked us under this current rate. She is excellent.
