I am going to rent a DJ and Cash bar. I might rent a Margraretta Sp? machine too.. adn my decerations will be simple and cheep! HTH I agree that it's nice to have it as close as possible to the DW as possible. I wanted to but were going on our honeymoon right after our DW wedding and then two of my cousins are getting married the following weeks.
  3. Cadbury eggs our out!!!!!! and this cow just bought and managed to eat alot! Chocolate is my weakness.....ahhhhhhhhhhh
  4. Were having a party at my FI parents new home a little over a month after our Cabo wedding. Were probably going to carry over some of the mexican theme, were having it catered, with bartenders and a tent. Were having alot of people (close to 300....ya I know) Im italian but it's going to be an all afternoon/nite open house. So im trying to find ideas as well, I think for the after party anything goes, my hope is that its fun and casual!
  5. So although I thought I could not do it, I was able to create my own boarding pass invites with everyones help and past threads....(THANK YOU) I took pics of just the rough draft, so the ticket envelope look better as I later used a paper cutter. Let me know what you think:) They were alot of fun to create:) I got most of my supplies at Michael's craft store (glue, raffia, stamp) and had the final boarding passes printed on glossy cardstock to resemble a real ticket, at first I wasn't sure about the glossy cardstock..but I love it!!! They were printed at Kinko's. I did the design, FI did all of the cutting..he was so helpful! Enevelope - Ticket Holder Ticket Holder w/ Ticket Invitation Return Ticket

  7. These seem to be perfectly appropriate for you DW, I love them your hard work payed off
  8. I would go with the dress shop, alterations can be very expensive. I would mention the price on ebay and im sure they would offer some type of discount. I like dealing directly with bridal salons, their often helpful and invested in your alterations since you purchased from them.

I ask because although you will find piñatas almost anywhere in Cabo, they are mostly the birthday party kind... If you want the traditional star-shaped piñatas (like the one in the photo posted by cheese_diva) you may need to order it in advance in which case you may even be able to specify the colors used! too cool and inexpensive! hope this helps. Thanks thats good to know! Angela, those pics are cute! Thanks!
  10. Thank you girls for your help, im so bad a decisions and you always find the best ideas! Erica, I love both of those. I am leaning towards the crystal monogram, im wondering if they have a combo one with crystal/pearl. Michele, Thanks so much for the "Vintage" idea...those are adorable. It's funny because im so into birds right now...and never have been before. FI not so much, so i may have to rule that idea out but their so darn cute!

I like them alot....nice choice
  12. Here is a picture of my wedding cake design, I found it on the "knot" and loved it's simple but different design....random because it was originally designed by Sweet Dreams in Cabo. Jennifer Hatton will be doing my cake, the only problem is I can't find a good cake topper to go with the design. Any thoughts? wedding cake.doc
  13. Everything looks wonderful.....Your veil is so beautiful, I love the outline detail! Im excited for you

I had a Piñata hung from the palm trees on the upper level of the Cascadas terrace (far right) for a recent wedding and it worked out fine.. a few things to consider; Setup - be sure to let the hotel know far in advance you are planning on doing this and also that you'll need their help setting it up. Lighting - Make sure that the hotel installs extra spot lights in the area you choose to hang the piñata.. Execution - you will likely need someone from your group or from the hotel to help with 'handling' the cord of the piñata. Safety - ahhh... this is an important one.. you may want to schedule the piñata smacking earlier than later as tipsy guests and a hard, wooden pole are not a good combo! Thanks, at first this seemed like a ridiculous idea but OHHHHH SOOOO FUN! I would honestly prefer not to do it at our reception but maybe our Welcome dinner. I would just love watching adults smack a pinata!
  15. I just found these at the Dollar Tree by my house and I was going to get them you have inspired me to "spice" them up with something cute! Nice work!
  16. These sound so yummy! I really like pumpkin...some of the other suggestions have sounded good too! I don't think you can go wrong with a signature drink, it's so festive!
  17. You and your husband look great! I loved the lounge set up too, very pretty & relaxing.
  18. So I just thought it would be fun to have all of my guests get tipsy with drinks and try to break a big pinata full of fun toys! Has anyone done this.....better ? would Dreams let us do this somewhere.
  19. We are looking for a guitar player and a flutist for the wedding ceremony. Ive searched in the forum but not to much is coming up for the two combined. Any suggestions greatly appreciated!
