Hi all! It's been a while! My fiance and I are off to Punta Cana next week to check things out and hopefully settle on an affirmative date and location. We are still between BBP, Paradsius Palma Real, and PPC. I really haven't seen much chat about BBP. Does anyone have anything to share (opinions) specifically on Barcelo Bavaro Palace as a choice? We are also looking for pictures of a wedding from BBP if anyone has any? Thanks! AND, we will be sure to share all we find out when we come back.

I'm feel so stupid -- I've gotten my resorts mixed up between PPR and Paradisus Punta Cana. For some reason I thought Mishi honeymooned at PPC. Ok- I'm really not this slow. lol Sorry Mishi! Tami, how do I PM you?

Just wondering if anyone has stayed at Palma Real (had their wedding or plan to have wedding here or just stayed for vacation). I would love any input/opinions on the Paradisus Palma Real (rooms, beach, food, overall...?) We are booking our September -belated - summer vacation and our agent has given us quotes on Palma Real, Paradisus PC and Bavaro. We are hoping to make our decision on where to hold our ceremony after our vacation. I've mentioned before that my fiancee has stayed at Paradisus PC and his parents more recently have stayed at Bavaro Palace and they love both very much. Now the agent gave us a deal on PR in PC and of course can't make a decision. Wait until I actually start to make the wedding arrangements... PR's looks so beautiful and amazing. Thanks all!

What are your thoughts on Bavaro Palace? My fiancee's parents love this resort but just because they love it doesn't necessarily mean I will. Interested in your opinions and thoughts. Thanks

Hello! I'm a DR bride but uncertain where on the island we're going to hold our ceremony. We know we want to hold it in January 08. Are there any brides who have photos from their wedding in DR? I welcome any ideas. We are considering Bavaro Palace Punta Cana and Paradisus Punta Cana -- we would like to consider Casa de Campo at St. Stanislaus chapel but have a hurdle to overcome with the church so that's a far shot right now since we most definitely want to be married in January. Regardless, we are so excited and can't wait for input, yey! Also, perhaps you can help me... I can't seem to be able to "view profiles". Do you know why this is? My friend/fellow dsw member thought maybe I needed moer points and since then I've increased but still can not view. Thanks!!!

Hello -- we are just starting our search and we are considering both Bavaro and Paradisus Punta Cana, along with Casa de Campo (I mentioned that when I first posted? sorry to repeat myself). I really have no particular info on either one of these (my fiancee's parents have been staying at Bavaro when they go and they love love love this resort (they are from Puerto Rico and visit DR annually). Also, my fiancee and his family have stayed at Paradisus in many prior vacations. We are going for a vacation in September -- I can report back when we return! I plan on taking lots of pictures. We may not decide until after the trip which may be cutting it close with regard to sending out save the dates (though those who we plan on inviting already have the informal heads up) but since we are going I feel like I should just wait until I see for my own eyes (this will be my first time in DR, and can't wait His family has also vacationed in Casa de Campo which is another consideration -- looks so romantic!!!
