  1. Oh those are so cute. I love the little charms and the umbrellas. What a great touch! I love how tiny they are too!
  2. I don't get what was so tough about the rescue either. You KNOW where they were. The boat dropped them off there. It's not like they had to comb through all this water searching for bodies that might have floated off. Seriously, go to the place they were dropped off and look there first.
  3. Just to throw my two cents in- I wouldn't want to stand at a ceremony and I'm young. I can't stand in one place for too long and for the sake of only having people stand for the looks of the ceremony, I think is a bit unfair. If chairs are available, I think you should give them to your guests. I guess the bride and groom stand, but it's different. You don't even notice it because you are so wrapped up in the ceremony. The times I have been a BM though, I get fidgety and have a hard time paying attention to anything but standing in one place.
  4. OMG- I am soo sorry. I don't know what to say. That has to be such a shock. I feel so bad for his family as well. You are all in my thoughts.
  5. Exactly Yari. Here's the quote from the paper: Neely said that they were approached by a representative of an Australian newspaper, who offered to buy the exclusive rights to their story. They agreed to the deal for a sum that Neely said was less than $10,000 in Australian dollars. Critics quickly accused them of profiting from their ordeal and demanded that they pay the estimated $300,000 cost of their rescue. Others accused them of disobeying the instructions of the crew on the dive boat. My opinion (as if it's the only one that matters- LOL) They should profit from the ordeal. I would want to see some compensation for nearly dying! And the dive company should pay for the rescue- not the people left behind. What a bullshit excuse. They should never leave if their head counts are off.
  6. I just saw the cast on E! news. It is a different spin on the same song. It's like they took the guitar riffs out of the song.
  7. Thanks Sarah! Oh my goodness- 10 days? When do you leave? I can't believe how soon it's here. That explains why you haven't been around as much. LOL
  8. Oh wow! These are some great photos! Straight out of a fashion shoot I'm telling ya. You must be so over the moon. Congrats on a wonderful wedding. It looked fabulous and I believe it was a dazzling details one right?
  9. LOL! Geez- is the judge auditioning to be the next Judge Judy? Why the bitchy attitude? Grr...I hate that. Anyways, congrats. I knew that would not hold up. That cop deserves some really bad karma.
  10. Oooooooooh those are pretty! I love the star and butterfly. So cute and sexy! They will look fabulous.
  11. You have a ton of good advice thus far so I'd just be repeating everyone. I just wanted to say I'm sorry- hang in there. It will all be over soon and you will have the best wedding and no more stresses! Push that friend to be independent and go on her own. If her DH doesn't want to go, why can't she? That's a lame excuse and if she really wanted to be better, she should stand up and be a friend. Ok- So I ranted a little...oops.
  12. I didn't have a very big wedding but we did have more people than six. I think we had about 12-14 sitting down. You can look at my pics as comparision. If you have only 6 I don't think it would look funny at all. They have to sit somewhere right?
  13. Oh what a special gift! I love that you can treasure it forever and pass it on down to your kids as well. That's an incredible gift.
  14. Oh that's terrible. I'm so sorry. If it's that important, is moving the wedding date out of the question? Is it even possible? We had our venue booked on the date we originally planned for. It was so important to us to get married at LC so we moved the date.
  15. I can offer some reassurance- our (now) good friends had to been together for about a year (They have since been together for like 5 years). Anyways, the guy was friends with my DH and I had met the girl through him. We did things occasionally with them, but she and I were not BFF. The guy would constantly flirt with other girls when she was not around- in front of me too! I would get so pissed because I felt like an accomplice. One time we went camping and the girlfriend couldn't make it and he tried to invite another girl. I put my foot down with that one and told my DH that I would not go camping if he allowed his friend to bring another girl without his current girlfriend knowing. Needless to say, he came alone. Fast forward 5 years, they are the HAPPIEST couple. They arne't engaged yet, but I foresee it coming soon. I really like both of them A LOT. If he were to start doing douche baggy stuff again, I would totally tell her now. But back then, I knew him better than her since he was DH's good friend. I think he just went through a stage and couldn't really accept he was off the market. Maybe Bob is having the same issue.

I'm really late on this, but I'm so sorry. What a crappy way to break news like that. Obviously, she was scared to talk to you because she knew she was doing wrong. I hate when people don't even have teh decency to step up to the plate. I'm so sorry for all the added stress. You totally don't need that!
  17. Yikes a tricky situation. I totally feel your pain because I would want to tell everyone that I think he is being a dog. But since you haven't witnessed anything, I'm not so sure I would run and tell. It could be him talking big to your FI- you know, stupid guy talk. Not that I think it's right, but who knows? Maybe he thinks it's impressive to be a douche bag and thinks his bragging is winning guy points. I think this is one of those situations where I wouldn't want to get involved unless you had to. Who knows- maybe Beth knows more than you think she does.
  18. I never saw this thread either. If I commented on it, then I'm just having a memory relapse. LOL But I'm pretty sure I have never seen it since the date would be right around my wedding time. Anyways, I knew a big switch occured but I didn't know all the knitty gritty details. Wooohooo. I'm glad it's everything you guys want!
  19. THose are so cute Abbie! You can tell you put so much work into them. I love all the personal touches- ie all the pics! People will def keep those invites. I REALLY love the colors and all the sparkly paper. I used sparkly paper too. LOL
  20. Very sexy and super fun! You wil lhave some fun details shots.

I'm also nervous because I used a pic of me from mexico and I was tan in the pic, so I'm afraid I wouldn't like the color as much on my paler skin! I'm calling tomorrow for an appointment for a cut though, I need one! Jill- do it! I am so much paler than my mexico pics too and everyone is telling me that my face looks darker now. Go figure. As I told my sister, there are a lot of fairer skinned dark headed girls in Hollywood- Katie Holmes, Liv Tyler, Jennifer Love Hewitt, just to name a few.

Hollywood Hair Virtual Makeover - Try On Celebrity Hairstyles at InStyle.com - Trends - In Style You can upload a pic of yourself. Try to find one of you with your hair back because obviously it's easier. I just played with it at work so I didn't have any pics like that. The best part is you can change the color and add hilights or lowlights. So much fun. I looked good with orange hair too. LOL
  23. I gotta watch the video at home. Please tell me they are still using the same intro theme song!
  24. Yay! I know that has to be such a relief! Congrats!
