  1. I love the monogram idea. I have thought about doing that in our room whenever we decide to start painting and decorating. Right now we have a really huge mirror with a gorgeous frame. Our bed is a king though so we needed something a little bigger to match up.
  2. See- this will probably get me started on my rant, but I'm so sick of the bridezilla types that take things too far. Getting married is a celebratory occassion but why does everyone need to go broke? Does that make you a better friend? Not in my book but I occassionally read books that other's don't. LOL I would seriously like to see this whole wedding business rethought. There is no reason people should feel obiligated to spend that kind of dough. It really puts the bridal party in a hard place. If they can't afford it, they feel like shit and not a good enough friend. So so sad.
  3. Geez. You would think he learned his lesson. If he has a problem with your fence ON YOUR PROPERTY then he needs to move his back one and a half feet so they don't butt up against each other. What an idiot.
  4. I only caught the last hour so I was sad I missed the tantrum! I have been looking forward to that. I'll have to find it online. So glad Chef what's his face left. buh-bye. He was too much of a whiney complainer to me, but I also missed the drama which he had a part in evidently. I am so sick of Twilley. He is weird. Period. They prove it each time by playing some ridiculous clip of him- like him singing some stupid song about Deanna. Did you see her face? She didn't even really look amused. I think producers are having her keep this guy. I still heart Jason. He's the man I'm rooting for all the way, but I still kinda like Jesse. He's so cute in a different sort of way.

He got teased relentlessly and tried to go by his middle name, Nathan, in high school but people just refused to change his name. Poor guy.
  6. I think you would have a much shorter list of brides if you asked "who as this NOT happened to?" It's typical- not that it makes the feelings any better. But I'm sure it makes you feel better to know you aren't alone and past brides can tell you that it's all worth it.
  7. My photog was just starting her DW business and she happened to be a PV local. I got her from not much more than $1000. You can def find someone decent for that price.
  8. Very pretty. The lace overlay on your dress looks a lot like mine did!
  9. WTH- does eric olson have a forum of brides voting for him too? LOL I voted Tara- and I have a single sister.
  10. I'm on board with the Oprah idea. We could come up with a great letter!

However that was FI's decision which I was only too glad to agree to and if i'm honest I probably convinced him she was an alchy lush that would be a pain in the arse lol Can not just elope come back and say we're married deal with it? Do you really want the big wedding? If not you have your answer. You can only express your feelings but unfortunately you can't cut them completely out unless you are a horrible hard faced cow like me who has managed easily to do it lol Holy crap I understood every single word. LOL
  13. Yikes- 4 days is asking a lot IMO. This is a DW- it's not like they just show up to the park somewhere in town. It requires a little more planning on the guests part. Some people might not even know if htey are coming until a few months before- we had guests book totally last minute because they ended up having more money than they anticpated. It's the joy of a DW.
  14. Lots of athletes suffer from shin splints. It's not demobilizing (is that a word? LOL) Anyways, I bet I can google up some info, but for now I wouldn't do any work outs that are high impact. You can still work out- swimming is a great way to exercise with a low impact. Low-Impact Cardio Blast Workout - Challenge Yourself Without Pounding Yourself Here's some ideas.
  15. I think you will have a hard time finding an AI for that price range. I could be wrong but most of my guests paid $1500 for 7 days- which did include airfare. The cost to fly is so much more than it was a year ago when we all booked- so keep that in mind as well. Also, I would ignore tripadvisor. I think the reviews are very unreliable. We had read some really bad reviews about our resort before we went down and I think they were completely off the mark. I just use tripadvisor to look at the candid pics.
  16. Oh your hair looked pretty! Can't wait to see more pics! You looked gorgeous and so happy!
  17. Amtrak is SUPER slow sometimes too. I wouldn't take the train. Ive taken it several times from So. Oregon to N. Oregon and it takes way longer than it is to drive! I don't have any other ideas though. I think the RV sounds most practical.

Plus I did see some other Dream Cancun brides with orchid arrangements. I think they look great together but this was the only thing I wanted to warn about but you already know. I didn't want to be a debbie downer but it's better to be realistic so you don't get your heart broken.
  19. Yay! Starting over new would be so fun yet scary. What a great time to do it though. You get to start out your new lives fresh!
  20. Umm like Coco. All I can think of for that name is coocoo for coco puffs. Poor children.
  21. Gosh- no one is really at work today. I will have to seek out some strangers or some BDWers to cheer up.
  22. Anny- I never saw these before! I absolutely ADORE them. So colorful and I love all the graphics in the name. SO cute! I can see why you do this professionally now.
  23. Your details were fabulous! I loved the cake- what a headache that was and it ended up beautiful! I love the I DO in front of it too! You guys were so cute and WOW do all your sisters look alike. Beautiful picture of the three of you. Congrats!
  24. Don't change your name! It's a VERY long process- I'm still doing it. Trust me, that's a headache you want to reserve for after the wedding!
