  1. Gorgeous wedding. You two looked soo happy. I love the photos of DH wiping tears. So sweet. TTD- #9 AMAZING!! #10 TOOO funny. I could see my DH doing something goofy like that. #14 is beautiful. #16 I love the way you are smiling. You look so free! Congrats Heidi!
  2. Funny- I just read this one on MSN and considered posting it along with a few others I jsut read.
  3. IMO I didn't think it was rude at all. I thought they were actually very nice and carefully considered their words. I also think it's kind of funny that some people thought they over explained because I have seen a lot of threads where people don't explain anything and the bride and groom are left bewildered wondering what the hell went wrong. I mean, they even asked you to voice your opinion if it bothers you. Their reasons for not wanting to stay at PF, I think are valid. It is a vacation for them too- even if it is your bridal party AND siblings. DW are not cheap for your guests. If you have lots planned that they may miss out on or would cost them more money in the long run, I would definitely tell them. They obviously would have to weight out their pros and cons to determine if missing out on all the stuff is justifiable for a resort more to their liking.
  4. Ugh- I agree Christine. I dont like Ann Heche. BUT SUPER happy for Ellen and Portia. Ellen is so funny. I would love to go to her wedding- I bet it would be fun and full of dancing. LOL
  5. Oh geez. The universe took a big dump on you today huh? I'm so sorry- we all have days like that and through tried and true measures I have found that drinking really does help. I like to call these sessions "drink til your happy Wednesday" or whatever day it happens to be. Your sister sucks. That's just PURE laziness. I mean, WTF- they were already made. Step outside and put them in the mailbox. WOW. I definitely hope you "forgot" to buy her a bridal party gift. As for your mom- I'd really ask her what the hell is up. That's just crazy. And the plumber- they suck. We had one try to charge us for the work of "two" people although I caught the second guy doing nothing and even sweeping our garage. Grrr...Tell them to stick it and call another.

We bought his shirt and pants. I think it was a total of $80- maybe less. I also bought the girls embroidered beach bags. For the best man, I let DH take care of his gift. He got him some flip flops, swim trunks and a shirt. An outfit I suppose. LOL I didn't have any showers and we paid for our co-bachelor party. We asked that everyone that went chipped in since we rented a HUGE party bus. I think it was $40 per person so the bridal party paid for their portion to go, along with all of our other friends. We covered the gratuities and other expenses. It was FUN.
  7. I bought their $55 dresses. I only had two girls so it wasn't too much. I found them at nordstroms. Another thought- allow them to pick out dresses in the same color different styles, etc. It would allow them to find something they really like and cheap. My BMs really didn't have too many expenses- besides their trip. I bought their hair clips, dresses. I made them jewelry-each different and they didn't wear shoes. Pretty easy!
  8. Yippeee. I was drunk when I applied for mine so I was so worried I filled out all the info correctly! LOL
  9. And we have a 100 million new newbies so I'm confused.
  10. It's all so pretty Courtney. I love your runners! They will look fabulous on the tables. I can't wait to see it all come together!
  11. haha no. I was a such a mess waiting for them. I'm an overly impatient person to begin with. BUT when they do come, it's sooo fun. I sat for HOURS with my DH looking at them all. It's worth the wait. You get to relive it all over again.
  12. Starfish- I don't think it's really about "seeing" them right? Some people use orchids as a theme but you certainly won't see them growing in the wild. Just my thoughts. As for Epoca- I never ate there. I did take some pics of it when I saw it though because I've heard it's name thrown around on the forum and I thought it would be helpful to have some pics. I will look to see if I have them in my shutterfly account otherwise I will have to wait till I get home. Great lil summary of LC. I will say that my grandparents (and drunk guests ) were able to motate around LC. All they really have to do is walk from the boat to the beach- that's the toughest part. They don't really have to hike up all over those stairs like we brides do. BUT my grandparents commented how rushed they were to get to the wedding site once they left the boat. That's the only downside. They arrived late and had to rush so it made it more difficult for them.
  13. I would do a more expensive bag. I bought some really cute beach bags for JUST our bridal party. I didn't do OOT bags. Unfortunately everyone commented how much they wanted the beach bags I had made. I bet they did but I wasn't paying $25 for everyone. ANYWAY- my whole point Tara. Get the better bag and less filler stuff. No one remembered to pack a beach bag and I think your guests will appreciate it!
  14. WOW- that's a great deal! We paid $300 for fire dancers and it was like 15 mins. I think having 3 different acts is really cool. I would totally recommend any bride doing something like that. It's worth it IMO.
  15. Ok first- I'm not really into Deanna much anymore. LOL Watching her get all drama like and rolling her eyes when Twilley couldn't open the helicopter door just really put me over the edge. She acts like these guys have to CONSTANTLY impress her. Grr- it's not like you open a helicopter door every day you biotch. Second- she babbles on constantly about these guys' feelings and not leading them on, etc etc. BUT she quickly criticizes Jesse for not making a move and kissing her in front of all the guys. WTH? She obviously doesn't give a shit about the other guys' feelings. I know they all should know she's kissing others but she should be at least a little considerate not to do it in front of them- especially at this point when they care about her. Ok now onto the boys- I'm so surprised many of you like Graham. I have not seen an ounce of personality in him to make me really like him. He kind of reminds me of the popular high school jock that just gets by on looks. He doesn't really seem to do anything impressive other than flex his stomach muscles- which are delish BTW. Plus he just seems to cocky to me. Jeremy- not really digging him either. He's too bland. Does he ever laugh or smile with her? It looks like he never really seems comfortable- like he's always "on." I just wonder what he's truly like when he drops the act. Jesse- such a cute sweet guy. I don't think he's right for Deanna. AT ALL. She seems WAY too high maitenance for him. Plus it's not really saying much that the time he actually impresses her is by recklessesly driving a quad. I like guys that are like that too but really, that's not a HUGE determining factor for choosing a HUSBAND right? Jason- he's my front runner. I think he's sincere and sweet. Now I kinda hope she doesn't pick him because I think he's too good for her. I think he could find a WAY better woman on his own.
  16. Starr Leatherridge. Am I a stripper? LOL
  17. Yay! I'm so happy to hear she is with you 24/7 now. Have a safe trip home!!!
  18. OMG soooo funny. Someone told me a story about a coworker that crapped their pants. I can't look at the person without thinking about that story. I bet you won't be able to look at this person without remembering his hole-y butt!
  19. That is a really pretty sunset Shelley. I can see why you would want it saved. I love the palm leaves at the top as a frame too.

I think it's so elegant and gorgeous. Plus it has the same type of look as the other bouquets IMO. You really can't go wrong. HOWEVER, if you really love your calla lilies, you should get them.
  21. Wow Mel- that's your first crack? I think you did a great job!!
  22. Congrats! That is so wonderful to celebrate your 25 years. I hope to have the same experience 25 years from now! I'm already planning a renewal in my head. LOL The colors were beautiful- so fun and fesitve. Especially your dress! I think your cake is adorable. I know on another thread you said it was a bit off from your original design, but for what it's worth- I think its very pretty and unique! Congrats again to the two of you. It's so sweet.
  23. We signed a "license" at the wedding in front of everyone but honestly for my "back home" weddings I can't think of one person that signed the license in front of everyone. As for the rings and acting married- we didn't do that till our wedding day. Wasn't that hard. To address the guilt over making people feel jipped- People travel to "DW" for vow renewals. We have people on this forum doing the same thing. Granted, I don't think the turn out is quite as big, but I'm sure the people going are going because they love the couple and want to share in celebrating the union. How's that any different than what we are all doing? We didn't tell anyone except my parents and sister that we were married. As far as I'm concern, it's not really their business when we made it "legal." Weddings are about celebrating the joining of two people and love. Not whether or not your particular state/country will recognize that commitment. Just my two cents.
  24. Just to say- we gave women bouts at our wedding. I don't like corsages- I think they are a PIA and get in the way. The florist made the women's bouts different then the mens. The mens were just a plain calla lilly. The women's had some kind of red berry thing. It looked more feminine. LOL
