You can't see it in the pics but I had my pants tucked into some high heeled combat inspired boots. I couldnt find a skirt that was Beth enough, without exposing too much of my chub. LOL Beth may be comfortable with that- I'm not!! Do you have your costume ready Mel?

Here's the pics as promised. Definitely more than a handful. My built in cup holder. Dog and Beth- Classy! Thanks for all your ideas and input ladies. I couldn't have had such successful boobies without your help!

I would just like to add that I disagree that just because you have a DW details should be swept under the rug. We paid as much for our DW (with less people) as we would have for a wedding at home so I think to expect less is somewhat unfair. I agree there are circumstances you can't help so to roll with the punches is a reasonable suggestion, but there is a definite difference between uncontrollable circumstances and specific details being missed or rude comments being made. I think Yari did an excellent job in pointing out the things that she wished would have happened differently in her wedding. We had some issues too, but I didn't have the balls to post it in fear of causing problems here. So kudos to Yari for helping future LC brides know how to be better prepared.

wooohooo- my kind of party! Looks like you had a ton of fun and BOOO on the other girls from not sporting wigs. I think it's fun!!

I think you will be fine. No worries- it's hard to clash neutrals.

Oh I love your wedding dress, hair and flower- such a perfect combo!! I love how it's just the two of you standing on a beach with a GORGEOUS background. It's a nice reminder that a wedding set up can be minimal and still be breathtaking gorgeous. Would I be too much of a turd to say it looks so organic? (that's such a celebrity way of discribing it- LOL) I LOVE 145- sooo funny! Can I also be another turd and say you should make 104 your siggy pic? It's soooo gorgeous!

Are you thinking of using Experida or Orbitz?
jajajaja replied to TammyWright's topic in Honeymoon Forum
I booked our trip through orbitz. We ended up having room problems with the hotel (they didn't give us the category of room we booked) and it took us (actually ME) months to straighten out and get our refund. I even got in a bitch fight with a hotel front desk manager over it and I really regret not having a TA represent me. It would have saved us a HUGE headache. -

Wow Amanda- I love so much of your stuff. Your flip flops are SOOO cute. You really DIYed? I love those personalized wine glasses too- I want one!! I can't wait to see your dress on you- plus see how it looks with blue. I bet it will look sooo beautiful. I know you have dealt with some stressful stuff planning the wedding, but just know you got all the crappy drama out of the way. Your day will be gorgeous and the most wonderful day. No doubt about it. Have a wonderful trip and be sure to report all the details back to us ASAP. -
Ugly centerpiece trial *updated 10/29/08*

Love the florists plan Jac. I think the peonies will look great with small bits of peacock feathers peeking out the top. Kinda like this? This is kinda cool too: -
Oh good call girls. The dollar store in my town shut down. I will have to find another one to check out. I can't wait to flaunt my obscenely big boobies.

I know Celina. I need to brush up on my bounty hunting skills. I do have some "wanted" ads with my friends faces on them. They just don't know yet. I also need to find some more gaudy jewelry. I tried at walmart but I'm not paying $8 for an ugly necklace. I think I might hit the mall tonight and stop in at claires- there stuff is usually cheaper.

Ok while it sucks and yes we all have been there (and my glass always tries to be half full), your wedding week will still be the most fabulous time WITHOUT THEM. I went through all the same disappointments and felt like a turd that no one cared about. I still have a fabulous wedding week with the people that did priortize and did care enough to be there. You will have the same experience- I know it. Forget your friends. It just makes it easier to know where you stand and you will have your moment to show them how it feels. I make less effort to show up to my friend's parties now just to be a good friend. They released me from that bondage. ha!

I walked out in TEARS!
jajajaja replied to mandalaybay3071's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
As most girls have mentioned- it's a common problem. We have all been there. Trust me- my first dress experience was a complete nightmare too. I thought I would go in and have a great time trying on dress after dress and just be completely giddy like they are in the movies. Hell my bm's and I might even have a fun trying all the silly dresses and create a movie montage. HECK NO!! Even if you ignore the sizes, if you are a bigger than the "standard" bridal sizes you probably won't have a lot of dresses that really fit you anyways. The standard size that the shops carry is like 8-10. (which will fit street size 4-6). While it really does suck, the only thing you can do is adjust your attitude about it. Go in knowing that you probably won't be able to try on all the dresses (their fault- not yours) but you are going to try to find the dress that you envision plus compliments your body style perfectly. For starters, it might be easier to start at a larger shop like David's bridal which carries multiple sizes. If you don't find the dress there, you can leave knowing which dress styles compliment your body. Pay attention to cuts- not details. Try on a dress like your first Casblanca dress that you like. Does that cut fit you well?? If it does, then you should be able to wear your dream dress no problem. They will then just measure you and order the dress in the size that's perfect for your body. Ignore the size- it doesn't matter. I never tried my dress on. I just tried dresses on that looked like it- then I ordered it without every seeing it. I loved it! Good luck girl. I know you can have a positive dress shopping experience and find the dress of your dreams!
