I got teary for the brother situation too Jessica. I understood why it would necessarily be a good idea to have two people who have the same style on one show. It made me feel better to think the (bald) brother will be on the fall's show.

I did think Danny was an ass last year. I didn't like him at all. He was a wonderful dancer, but he really needed to humble himself IMO. (Or at least what they edited him to look like!) As for Mia to Brandon- totally uncalled for. She made it VERY personal. She could have just said "You aren't my personal favorite so at this time, I'd pass." But NOOOO she goes into some rant about his dancing being annoying and pissing her off. And then she calls him cocky. I was blown away. It was like dude, you don't have to be a bitch. You CAN hold back some personal opinion. Geez.... I'm glad Mary stepped in. That was very classy of her. I was also impressed how Brandon took all those harsh words. Now on to the rest- I have NO idea how you girls were able to identify any of the dancers. I can remember like 5 people! I really hate how they edited it this season. They gave a lot of early screen time to people that they ended up cutting early and left the people going into top 20 relatively anonymous. That kinda sucks!

MTV. It's not on right now, but maybe you can catch it on youtube or something. This past season (I think it was the third) was the best season by far. It had Hawk and Dominic from SYTYCD on one crew and another dude that was cut during Vegas week. They were incredible. They battled for the top spot against an all b-girls group. These girls were amazing!! http://www.mtv.com/ontv/dyn/dance_crew/series.jhtml I found the finale- I didn't watch it though so I hope you can see it all!
-
Oh crap- I can't remember who won. It was an AWESOME finale. They are SO creative. I want to say the boys one. I remember Dominic crying. LOL
-
Sarah was amazing! Did you girls watch the America's Best Dance Crew on MTV too? I LOVE the b-group of girls. I can't remember their names now, but they were amazing!
-
the lack of hip hop is really pissing my DH off. THat's one of the reasons he LOVES the show. It was always fun when they dance for the life because it was so fun to watch them perform- ie Twitch, Joshua, Gev, etc.

I was so pissed with the cut of Natalie. She nearly made it last year, but ended up in that poor Katie/Natalie drama. She gracefully took the cut last year. This year she didn't even make it as far and IMO the dancers don't look as high caliber as they have in the past. Totally unfair that she was cut without a second chance. I think all of her previous dance experience (last years and this year's audition) she has already shown she is amazing and can learn choreography. Grrr...I love this show and I'm really mad at them!

Jillian Harris is the new Bachelorette!!
jajajaja replied to BachataBride's topic in Celebrity Gossip!
So does anyone else feel like Wes' crappy song sounds familiar? It reminds me of George Straight but I can't pin point what song. I'm smelling a rat. I can't stand that guy. So freaking fake. I love how he plays one line at the balcony and is like "can I finish up there?" Ummmm no- keep playing down below. That's really how you serenade a lady, you douche! His set up couldn't have been better- pretty girl, balcony, love struck dude, balcony. Duh!! And then he apparently finishes the song (off camera) and then says "do you want me to play it one more time?" My goodness, how many times is he going to play the same song over and over for her. -
Oh MAN!! I jumped the gun. I thought it was the next book. I thought that was a fast turn around time, but when books=$$ those authors will pump em out!

Dave is PSYCHO!! Thankfully he goes all nuts next weeks so whew! Jilly is saved. I can't believe she let go of Sasha for that pathetic reason. Helloooo Jill- my DH was my first and only love (and we didn't fall in love in HS or anything! I was just REALLY picky I guess). It can happen!! You don't have to have loved and lost to really know what love is. That was really stupid. Rob is cute- that's the bartender for whoever asked-I forgot. I like his personality and the catching the cherry on the toothpick trick was the icing on the cake for me. I'm not hard to impress. Jake's cute too but I guess the editors forgot about him this week? Ed- scary date so I give him props for having the balls. Foot guy- GO HOME!! You freak me out. Did you see him starring at her feet like she just flashed him some boobies? He could barely stop looking at them to focus on her face. buhahahah what a loser. -
Erin I read it SOOOO fast too. There is another book coming out- October I believe!!!

What I would and wouldn't do again...
jajajaja replied to gkashmira's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
Josie- If people declined, no need to send them a formal invite. Who cares? They aren't going and they would most likely throw your exspensive invite in the trash- unless it's grandma or Aunt Margaret. I think you could make an exception there. -
I hope you took pics! Those are funny stories worth remembering. Its almost straight out of a sitcom. Too perfect!

checking someone's email - advice please!
jajajaja replied to JOSIE's topic in Just venting or funnies
Josie I'm totally late to the game but I'm really glad it worked out. I've lost some friends over the years over stupid silly stuff and I sometimes wonder if we were more mature and just talked it out if things would have gone differently. I'm really glad you took the high road and spoke to her. Apparenlty that was all that was needed. But slightly on topic- I thought it was kinda funny how a lot of the girls that confessed that they checked an ex's email because he was acting shaddy found out that surprise! He was shaddy! I'm sorry, but you have to follow your gut. If you can't get honesty out of someone and you know deep down something is up, who cares if you have to crack the email password. I'm with Savannah- the end justifies the means. If the cheating mother f'ers want privacy then don't be shaddy and cheat! (So i'm sounding somewhat crazy here, but I just wanted to let you know that I don't think you are completely wrong. It's a tad different checking up on a friend, but hey- shaddy is shaddy!) -
I think its stunning. I'm not a fan of oval diamonds either, but that ring has so much elegance and uniqueness I still love it! Here's what I think though- your (future) FI will love ANY ring you give her because it came from your heart. You obviously put a lot of thought into it so that will make her love it even more. Congrats! You are nearly there.
-
Beautiful wedding. Congrats on keeping it your style and hitting the budget as well. That's not an easy feat! And you were a GOREGOUS bride. Congrats!!
-
Wow- you looked like a classic bride! Totally gorgeous. I absolutely love your dress- so much that I would consider ripping it off you to renew my vows! I'm soo happy that everything turned out perfect. This could have totally gone south too, but instead you decided to not let anything ruin it and made it such a happy, fesitive occasion. I'm really proud of you! Congrats!
-
I think it's really cute too! plus you want your FI to feel somewhat included in the planning- you know since it's his wedding too (kinda ). Although it's not typical or traditional I think it will be a great conversation piece and a bit of surprise. Plus no one cares too much about the cake so do it!

I thought it was a deer. We rewatched it like 5 times and we were all torn. My sister thought it was a dude. I thought it was a deer of course and even DH gave his 2 cents during the debate and thought it was human. I couldn't see a human but eh- whatever. That whole Annie tantrum was kinda funny. She just lost it and in a not so believable way. I will be soooo disappointed if they play out the Kelly/prinicpal crap. There are happy marriages and the original 90210 had no problems show casing the cute Walshes nice relationship. And what was up with that car? It was like some foreshadowing for next season, but the foreshadowing is a bit lost if you can't figure out what the "teaser" is. Is that an old cast member coming back? Or is it just showing that someone witnessed Annie's wreck?

"Twilight" Series and Movie Discussion--WARNING! Spoilers!

Hi Lisa, I took my "engagement" ring off in the morning and gave it to the best man. We then exchanged rings during the ceremony. Some people might like the idea of putting on a ring they have never worn before for the wedding ceremony, so if that's the case, then by all means go for it! Who doesn't want more diamonds. But for me personally, my ring meant a lot to me and I didn't really care that it wasn't a "new" ring going on my finger. IT's all about personal preference.

It's gorgeous! My ring is antique style- I didn't get a band and just wear it on my left hand. I love it so much I didn't want to downgrade it to my right hand and I couldn't find a band. Every one I tried I thought took away from the ring rather than ehanced it. So my advice- if you aren't totally sold on the idea of a wedding band just forego it. You can kinda see my ring here: It has diamonds on the sides too which a band would have covered up.
