  1. I think Jake is a nice guy and all, but it would be a BORING season if he was the bach. Imagine him keeping up the gentleman act. There would hardly be any action, no drama, and nothing for us to talk about! He doesn't bring the humor or anything else to the plate so I think it would be a snooze fest. I would adore Michael as the bachelor though. He's freaking hilarious. I loved the little clip of the car scene and he's always saying funny things. I would love to see someone who's just playful and fun be the bachelor. I'm over hotter than crap guys that wait for women to swoon over them. But unfortunatley, I've learned that I end up annoyed by the recycled bach/bachettes. Bob- douche. Deanna- BIATCH. Jason- BORING and an ass. Jillian- cute, but annoying. I was just hate for my illusion of Michael to be shattered if he were as toolish as the rest.
  2. I actually somewhat enjoyed the MTA last night. I could have skipped the Jason and Molly update, but there was some drama! Wow, some assholes showed their true colors. I couldn't believe how many of the guys were jerks! It was like they were all thumping their chest and trying to prove who had the bigger balls. It just showed how much of a gem Michael was. TOOOO SWEET. I'm not sure what to think of the whole Reid thing. There was talk around the internet last week- I don't believe this is a spoiler but just in case..... That Reid and Jillian exchanged some whispered words and had weird body language when she was putting him in the limo. Thankfully, I still had the episode on the DVR and my sister and I rewatched that exchange about 15 times. I even had DH listen. It sounded like Jillian whispered "call me" when she hugged Reid. He got in the limo and whispered "ya, I'll call you." Jillian then put her hand over her mouth and smirked and it showed Reid smirking back. I can't say for 100% that they really said "call me" but I do know for 100% that their body language was off in that exchange. I did see smirking and I'm not sure what to think. Ugh- I hope this show isn't turing into "The Hills" and becoming scripted reality. IF so, I'll still watch. HAHA. I'm THAT pathetic.

Those babies were GINORMOUS. I thought she also looked beautiful and healthy. Even my DH commented on her glow. I wonder if we will see a PG announcement. I was sad to see Randi go. She was a cutie. I actually liked her hair that auburnish shade and long. It didn't look like her, but I thought it was very pretty. Their dance though- HORRID. Contrary to Erin (sorry!) I thought Kupono jacked it up. Evan's time is ticking. The African dance really proved to me that I'm not just being mean to the little guy. He definitely couldn't keep up with the others. I'm not sure what it is about Jason's face but it bothers me too!! I call him "poop eater" and I'm not sure why. DH thinks I'm nuts- but I'm glad you guys see that something just doesn't look right. I'm hoping Jeanine or Ade take the thing home. I really like Brandon, but his mannerisms kinda irritate me. I like him dancing, but when he gets to talk, something about it bugs me bad. I like Melissa and was shocked as hell to see her and Ade in the bottom. If either went, I would have been pissed!
  4. Well girls, I don't think it ends after the wedding. Now I get people who say "ohh- too be a newlywed. Give them 5 years and they won't be so happy." WTF? I'm sorry some people let their marriages become something they view as negative. I personally don't have that mind set. Sure, there is ups and downs, but I hope that when I get several years down the road, I look back and think it was mostly up. OR the single friends that don't invite you to stuff because you're married and it's a "girls" event. Hmm- I didn't realize my ceremony included surgically attaching my hubby to my hip. OR the single friends that don't come to things you invite them to because they assume it's going to be all "couples." Unfortunately, the harsh reality is that sometimes when you get on different paths than your friends, it can be kinda bumpy. However, if you just keep strong and don't let the negativity get to you, then you will continue to be happy. Now I'm just waiting for some of my friends to settle down so we can kinda be on the same wavelength.
  5. etiquette schmetiquette. This is a great idea and so thoughtful of you to give your man a guy's night. They totally need them- even after the "I do's". Don't sweat it- you did nothing wrong. Seriously, who could complain about someone funding a fun night out for them?
  6. Crap I got so excited and forgot to comment on Ed's outfit. Ok the mankini had to be a joke. It just had to be! But then I didn't understand why he wore the tank top (ummm- 1980's?) and never took the tiny shorts off or at least put his other shorts back on when they got out of the water. And what was up with that suit? I died laughing when he came out in it. Was the jacket a light purple? With a light blue shirt underneath? and white miami vice pants? I thought the jacket was bad enough by itself but paired with that light blue shirt- hideous!! That couldn't have been a joke- right? I've never been an Ed fan so forgive me but I don't think he's really that cute. He looked exhausted. And he never looks Jillian in the eye when talking. Reallly getting on my nerves. I think something snakey is going to pop up with him. Maybe the confession is that he has a gf? I adore Reid. I'm sad he's gone and I really thought Jillian lit up whenever she was with him. They looked like they had the potential to be a really cute couple. Kyp is FINEEE. I LOVE his abs and I'm very disappointed Jillian didn't switch Ed and Kyp dates. I would rather see Kyp half naked. Ed- not so much.

Reid- not sure what happened with that. And Ed- well she pretty much came out wearing NOTHING on national TV so I'm sure she was willing to go there- if things were a bit different. Don't forget Jillian and Jason's hot tub scene last year. This girl has no shame. She said she wasn't embarrassed that her parents watched it. Well- is she embarrassed now that her dad has seen her nipples? Just curious. Quote: Originally Posted by Kat81 She straight up said I want to get back to the suite for some sexy time. It was like soft porn for a while. It was kinda embarrassing to watch. My parents have been staying with us and I MADE my dad watch this episode because I was itching to get in on all the gossip. I was kinda embarrassed when they broke out the oils. I was like- I swear. It's usually not soft porn! My dad was all- ya sure!! I believe Ed just fell asleep, but I dunno. If he fell asleep or lost the wind in his sails, either way- shouldn't have been discussed much on camera right? I mean- she basically announced that she wanted SOMETHING to happen and either sleep/or a limp noodle got in the way. I think he was a weasel on the show and is trying to weasel out of it now, off the show. I haven't read that interview but I think Wes is full of shit. Rewatch the limo ride and listen to his gf comment. That was not him repeating a question. His tone says otherwise. No way I'm buying that one. Sorry- you can NOT edit tone or body language. And I do agree- he's a douche!
  8. Ok so I used the Bissell and forgot to update. I actually really liked it. One of the consumer complaints was that it left hardwood floors too wet. I didn't have that problem at all. They looked just as wet as they do when I hand mop. I did have to stop and fill the water container up twice I think. It was not a huge hassle in my opinion so I'm not sure why people really complain about that. It's so easy so they are just whiners. Plus it heats right back up pronto. I didn't see a ton of steam like you do in the infomercial. But I felt the heat on the floor and when I picked the mop up and looked at it I could see the steam. So it's there- its just not big steam clouds or anything. I would say that I don't think it's a good "scrubber" mop- like if something is REALLY stuck the floor. I guess I'm not comfortable using it to put a little elbow grease in. I would just grab a rag and clean the spot manually if that were the case. I can't really think of anything else I have to say on it, but if you have any questions, please let me know. I'm going to whip that bad boy out again this weekend so I may have more to say!

  10. I can't remember which is which either. I also read the last book so freaking fast I can't remember what happened. I just remember loving it and it wasn't that long ago! Uh oh. I have issues.
  11. We had so much fun at the concert last year, so def go if it's in your city! I wasn't too shocked last night, other than Ade and Melissa being in the bottom. I knew they wouldn't be eliminated though so it was cool to see them do what they do best. As for Philip, I got a tad teary at his comments about how you don't need formal training to go far in dance. Just passion and drive. How inspiring. Now Evan just needs to go. I think his days are def numbered. And I agree- Jeanine may be my fav girl at the moment. She's sooo damn cute and I loved the flirty role she played.
  12. Plus wearing a stranger's shoes is kinda gross. Maybe I'm just a foot phobia person. Check out endless.com or something. They have great returns and next day shipping.
  13. I loved Mia's piece last night. So powerful. I'm thinking it's Evan's time to go. He did not do hip hop well and he certainly didn't pull off the sexy/dominate vibe in the samba. I'm not sure who should go for the girls. Front runners- loving Melissa, Ade, Brandon, Janette (stupid hair and all), Randi. I'm excited to see what Jeanine can do minus Phillip (sorry!). I like Philip but I think he's kinda the anchor to their performances. She does really well, but he does ok so it doesn't blow anyone away. I absolutely loved the tango last night. I thought they looked like seasoned pros.
  14. I would think that two people who care immensely for you would make the effort to act civil for a week. Unless something really bad went down between the two, this is something that should be compromised on IMO. I mean, lots of people have personality clashes with their FI's family, but would they say the FMIL or FSIL can't attend the wedding just because they don't like them? That's silly. It's one of those situations that you just have to learn to grin and bear because you care for your significant other. I hope it works out for you. This is just a sad situation and I DO think you have a choice.
  15. This is bizarre. If your FI told them that he didn't want the party there since your house is under renovations, they said "too bad. It's done." Why wouldn't they think that he would have a say in it- it's YOUR house. Plus I freak out if people come over to my house and it's not respectable looking. LIke all I can focus on is "OMG there is dirty dishes in the sink and my floors are dirty." I can't imagine how they wouldn't see that this would be stressful to the couple. Someone has to clean the house! Anyways, I really hope it's a situation like Estella described. I hope they are trying to throw you off. I also can't imagine your FI making you stress over it though. If this is really how the party is, then I'm sorry. That's just poor planning on your BMs part. Maybe you can just have your own party a little later to make up for it. My DH had a snooze fest party the first time so we had a co-ed party to make up for it. It was a BLAST and we planned it all.
  16. I think you should think about it for a day. Programs are not as important as say..invitations. No one really pays attention to them. I do understand that you want them to be perfect and I totally know the 'freak out' mode you probably went into. I'm a perfectionist and I want help, but I want perfect help. haha. That's why my honey no longer folds the towels. Basically, I think you are just having a bride freak out moment. In the big picture, the programs don't really matter. It's not worth all that effort because really- no one really keeps them and most get either folded up or used as a fan. BUT one thing is for sure- your FI is a keeper. That was really sweet of him to try to do all that work to make you happy. Those moments will make you smile and remember why you love him so much. Yes, he messed up but it was with good intentions and his thoughts were on you!
  17. Wait- did she do that on purpose? I don't think I really had a bridezilla moment. My closest may have been a week or so before the wedding when one of BMs decided that her dress wasn't short enough and since she couldn't find a seamstress to do it so quickly she was going to shorten it herself. I just about flipped. She can't sew!!! What the F was she thinking??!!
  18. The Pact is on my to read list. I'm glad it's really good. Lisa- I will take your advice and retry the Time Traveler's Wife. It's been reinstated to my "to read" list. haha
  19. I really can't think of any other reason that he would go on this show with a GF and expect anything good to come out of it. He just wants attention and as he told Jillian, everyone has heard him sing- unfortunately. I LMAO when she said "Wes didn't need this show. He has real talent." OMG- are you deaf??
  20. Last night was a fun episode. I laughed soo hard at the Wes drama. I had to actually rewind and watch again. Was he drunk in the limo? I loved when he said "Why the F*** are we going in circles?" hahahaha- DRUNK! And he was completely classless and I loved it. I think Wes is going for the "any publicity is good publicity" route. He saw all the drama douche bag Jason stirred up last year and he wants in on that action. Of course, it's kinda working for him. We all know his name! I don't think it will help him sell records but I def think it will give him 15 mins of fame. He's going the "Speidi" route. I'm not digging any of the guys for Jillian really. But I guess if I had to choose, I'd pick Reid. He seems to really like her, but he's hesitant. I think the "proposal" at the end scares the shit out of him. I don't really think Kyptin is that into Jillian. I think it's more one sided and she REALLLLY likes him. I don't see any personality from Ed. He's a snoozer and I don't think he likes her as much as he is protesting. Just not seeing it. He said he couldn't stop thinking about her the whole 2 weeks he was gone, but how come he hasn't shown really ANY excitement to be back? Something is off here.... Overall, I don't really care how the season ends. I just want to see the Tell All now.
  21. I just recently finished the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs. I was embarrassed to read it because of the book cover- I looked like a complete dork but the books were entertaining. I wasn't really into this type of literature, but my love for Twilight caused me to read The Sookie Stackhouse series (in which the show True Blood is based). I loved those so much and read them so quickly I found the Mercy Thompson series was very similiar. So if you like Twilight and the Sookie series, you will most likely enjoy Mercy Thompson series as well. Blood Bound is the first. Just ignore the cover! I have to concur that My Sister's Keeper is an awesome book! I couldn't put it down and sobbed my way through it. I love all Jodi Picoult books though. I love the twist she puts on the story by telling it from multiple points of view. Just like life. I wish I would have been more patient with Time Traveler's Wife. I think I read like 30 pages and I got bored. I always have books on deck so I was anxious to get to the next. Maybe I should retry since so many of you love it.
  22. To be honest, I would think his mom would want to make every day available to see her son- I know I would. He was over in another country fighting a WAR! It's not like he just returned from vacation. Maybe she wants to focus on celebrating her son's life and not necessarily divide her attention to look at wedding dresses. I can see how you would be frustrated and I don't mean to be offensive, but some things are bigger than weddings. Some things are bigger than shopping for dresses. If it is that important to you, then keep your shopping date. Your MIL and FSIL can make the decision if it's really important to them as well. However, I think you should be happy that they like you enough to want to be a part of this experience. Good luck on whatever you decide, but I just wanted to voice that I don't necessarily think your MIL or FSIL are being unreasonable.
  23. I never did Gina. I still have some old cards in my old name and I opened a new checking account with my new name. Maybe she got denied based upon the Patriot Act or something? I know when I opened my account I had to show a bill that has my address on it. Other than my marriage license and photo ID, I don't think they asked for any other documentation.
  24. Deb- I've totally wanted one of those tooth brush things. I just haven't spent the money on it yet, because usually shoes are at the top of the list! As for an invention for the toilet seat- I'm not sure if everyone watched the one season of Great American Inventor (it was a Simon Cowell show- he produced, not hosted/judged). I actually liked the show and one of the people had an invention to prevent fecal spreading from toilets. Another guy invented a car seat that kinda looked like an egg half that the baby carrier "floated" in so if in an accident the baby wouldn't really be subjected to whiplash. It was such a great idea- it just lacked the convenience. It was sooo sad too because his baby died from a car accident and his invention would have prevented her death!
