So, I had a lot of stuff on there, but it was not cakey or heavy at all either. I thought I did a good job, and trust me, I never ever say that. lol Well I already use studio fix and MAC concealor. You convinced me to make another purchase. I have been dreading the "beauty" shots. I was like that's just more to touch up. So in theory, if it covers them well that means less photos that need to be touched up so I'm saving money by spending money. lol

I just read those articles. Unfortunately that post got buried and I just now saw it! How awesome is that. It's going to be done by Dec and we will be there in March. I wonder if this is why rates have gone up. We booked in at a great deal and we kept telling our guests to jump on it. Some just booked a week ago and the rates were up $400 more each person. They were like UHHHH- this isn't the price you originally emailed us. Now I don't feel so bad. You snooze, you lose. But they are making every one bedroom suite a 2 bedroom with plasmas. NICE! Thanks again Amy!! You made my day. I hated having to chose a resort that would work for everyone. This totally validates my choice and makes me super pumped.

Everyone tells me I'm being silly because they aren't that bad. Ya, that's after make up! So your concealer worked good? I use MAC's concealer now and I think I could do a lot better in hiding them.

Hmm this is an interesting idea. I always use fake eyelashes if I have any event to dress up for. The really cheap $8 kind. Most people don't realize they are fake either. For Halloween I wore some ridiculous long ones and people kept asking if they were real. I should post a pic of them because it was so obvious they were fake. I was like Dang, if I can pull these ones off then they won't notice on the softer, more life like ones. However I do like the idea of getting some that would last the whole vacation- not just a day. Does it do any harm to your natural lashes? LIke when they come off, do you lose some of your natural ones? I'd hate to be bald after that. lol

That pic is hilarious. I need to watch South Park more. I love when they make fun of celebrities/people who I recognize.

I heard it was $50,000. That family seemed pretty tight. He had to have pissed the son off big time for him to turn his back on the whole family. Obviously that wasn't the first time they have used that language. What I don't understand is that in the message he is saying Americans won't understand how they use the *n* word. They don't mean it in a negative light. Say what!? Seriously, it's not like the usage of "brah." He clearly understands that the word has negative connotation. His excuses and apologies are really weak. Although we watched when we couldn't find anything else on, Dog really bothered me. I hated when he would cuss up a storm and tell the people they are hunting that "We are going to f*ing find him. Tell him the Dogs coming and to be scared." And then once the guy was caught they would go into this Christian talk about having faith and believing in the Lord. Clearly he was selling a front to differentiate his show from other bounty hunters.

Thanks for sharing! I almost hired Marisa and talked to her a few times. She seemed really nice. Your pictures turned out wonderful!

Well I guess we could keep the cavier and see if people want to try something new. I don't think I could eat it. Just the idea freaks me out. I think lamb is good but once I start thinking about it being a nice, cute little lamb I get really disgusted. Guess I'm weird. I'll eat beef and chicken like no other though.

That's a good idea Jamy. I never thought about mixing them. But then when would you know to end one song and begin another? How long does it take to walk down there? A min? 2 mins? I have a song that I want to walk to and it's not very long- like 2 mins maybe. I was hoping I could make it in that time. Also to offer advice for the formal vs non formal mix, I read somewhere that some brides mix up formal with non-formal to make the bride's entrance more dramatic. For example, when the mood of the song changes it's really noticeable. I didn't really plan on doing that but I want my BM's to walk to Somewhere over the Rainbow and I will walk to an instrumental version of Bittersweet Symphony. It will be a striking difference between the 2 songs but I love Bittersweet Sypmphony.

Too cute Heidi. I love the one with your decapitated BM. Haha so funny. I'm sure they loved it.

Some Decor Ideas - Pics from our Couples Shower
jajajaja replied to jak27's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
What a fabulous party!!! You have some people that love you. I don't think I'm having a shower. But if I did, I would want it to be a festive event like yours. OK, so here's the stupid part. What are shakers? Do they clap or something? Rattle? I guess that makes more sense. -
JibJab | Funny Jokes, Animated Videos, Cartoons, Flash Movies, Hilarious Clips, Parody, Satire I don't know if anyone else had done the Jib Jab "Starring You" videos but we have so much fun. I orginally made this one of FI & I then sent it to a few people at work. It blew up and everyone started sending out these hilarious videos. The "Sendables" are funny ecards too. I sent the "I f***ing love you" to FI and he laughed so hard. We have stupid humor I guess. I just wanted to share because I made a group one of my wedding party and they adored it. Now I just have to figure out how to get it on our wedding website... that nobody looks at. lol!

What should I put in the pool?

Description here: Light Columns and more decorating ideas, organizing tips, and homekeeping and cleaning solutions on marthastewart.com It's white beachballs with weights tied to the end. Love this. Yah Martha! -
I had one of those ages ago. Do they even still make them? I remember every time I moved it would make a crackle nose, but I didn't care because the girls were bigger. My boobs are a tad bigger now (butt too! lol) so I don't necessarily need a water bra. Plus I don't think they are necessarily water anymore. Maybe gel? Did you see the Will & Grace episode where Grace's exploded in a gallery and she squirted water all over the paintings? You don't want that to happen!

WC Fees..How Much Is Too Much?
jajajaja replied to BillysBride's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
If their "day of" coordination is still too much, maybe you could negociate price. For example, if they don't need to be there as many hours as they are charging you for, then maybe they would be willing to lower the cost. After all, it IS less work. Off topic- your babies and their costumes are ADORABLE!! Are they quadruplets? They look so close in age! -
Am I a crazy over protective fiancee?

Your wedding is far enough away so if something happens, it will be healed in time. haha never thought of that wording. Funny. He had it popped back into place, but I'm sure he wanted it REPLACED. It's still very crooked. He has the option of surgery even if he doesn't hurt his nose again. The doctor said that insurance won't consider it cosmedic because they are attempting to fix an injured nose. Luckily, the league he is in provides coverage as well so he is double covered. He is just waiting to see once the swelling is completely gone if he can live with the crook. I wasn't trying to stop him from playing although I wish he would listen to my suggestion . I didn't know if I was crazy for wanting him to not play because I was paranoid. His friend had a severe head injury two weeks before and forgot everything for 4 days. He was married the week before and couldn't remember it. He even asked why he had so many presents in his living room when we took him home after the E.R. visit. That idiot still played the next week. Guys baffle me. I guess I somewhat understand though because I too was a sports freak in my younger days. In college, I was hit in the eyebrow with a line drive and it gave me a hairline fracture and a few stitches. I ended up losing half my eyebrow until it regrew in a few years later. I still played in all my games but I thought it was more serious than boys tossing around a football on a Saturday. But I suppose that is serious to them. -

Here's the story- 2 weeks ago FI broke his nose playing flag football. Some guy accidentally elbowed him and gave him a nice bloody, crooked nose. I took a day off work to go with FI to the doc to get his nose replaced. It was the hardest thing to watch because although they numbed it, he was still in severe pain. He got his cast off last week and his nose is still slightly crooked. FI is disappointed and totally self conscious. Now the big dummy wants to go play his football game this Saturday. The doc says he will be fine, but just don't get hit in the nose. I say he shouldn't play for awhile, but he says if he gets hit in the nose again then he'll just opt to have surgery to have it straightened since he doesn't like it now. (Surgery is still an option he can take since he has a deviated septum.) I just don't get it. I'm like "This is your face we are talking about! We have a wedding coming up and I would like you to look normal." He thinks I'm being a little dramatic. So seriously, am I?

Great review Nicole. I'm sure that was slightly difficult to post knowing the photog is part of the forum. I'm sure your insight will be valued by future brides. Juan, your pictures are gorgeous. I have loved every wedding posted on here. I think your response showed your integrity, which probably comforted your future-clientele. I can't wait to see more pictures.

Picking My Wedding Band
jajajaja replied to foxytv's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
LOVEEEEEE that ring! So pretty. I've been drooling over those for months and wanted to get one for my wedding band and switch the ering to the right hand, but I felt terrible for abondoning it like that. Not sure what I will do. Sorry about your ering. That's terrible. But beautiful alternative.
