Tara, I wish I could break it down to just room rate for you, but we went through alaskaair.com for our vacation package. We watched for about a month and finally just booked in when we didn't think it would get any lower. We are staying there for 11 days for $1970ea. Most of my guests are paying $1300-1500 for the week, including airfare. I haven't had any guests book in under a week yet. I tried to go through a TA but they weren't offering any better deals. I figured everyone could just book on their own and we don't have to worry about the headache of people not paying their deposit, etc. I love the location. Mismaloya is further away from PV than I really wanted but it's so pretty. Love the jungle. I'm REALLY excited that they are upgrading the grounds too.

Welcome to the forum. I personally would be irritated that no one would communicate until you are "locked" in. After all, how are they suppose to book customers if they aren't cooperating or being helpful in the beginning. I had this same problem with a resort, and I refused to have the wedding there. With that being said, there are SO many girls here that can help you. There has to be a couple getting married there or that were already married there. I'm sure they will offer you some comforting advise. Good luck!

I love the idea that they can reuse your STD. Most people hold on to them for a bit then throw them away. I don't see many of my STDs hanging on friends' fridges anymore. jerks.

Carly, I commented on your dress when you first posted it here, but wow- it's so beautiful. Love the veil with it too! I can't wait to see your wedding either. Heidi, have you posted your dress here? Gosh, I've had to have viewed 1000's of them. I can't wait to see you in it so hurry up and get your camera back.

A contrasting bouquet would be pretty. Red looks great with turquoise. Pink & orange would look great as well.

The Mayan is gorgeous! LOVE the lounge bar. I would kill to sit on those couches/beds with a big ol' margarita. Plus the beach looks so quiet. Nobody is out there. You girls are lucky! The hotel is beautiful.

We are staying at the Barcelo which I just read is getting 7 million in renovations right before we get there. So excited!! A nicer hotel than we originally booked into. lol

Love this one: It's really bold and that's what I wanted! I wonder if they have two! If not, I might get that for my MOH, and for my BM, get the simpler orange strand necklace that a couple of you posted. Thanks so much for your help girls! I really appreciate it. I searched for days but couldn't find anything that was even in my price range! I was beginning to think I had too expensive of taste- which happens a lot. Champagne taste on a beer budget. lol

I have been having the hardest time finding some orange beaded necklaces. Actually it doesn't have to be beaded but I'm not sure if I'm being too picky or if all necklaces are just EXPENSIVE. I have found ones I like, but they are like $140 or $300. Umm...no thanks. I want to get them for my BMs but I don't want to spend that much. I just wanted to find a simple orange necklace to didn't look too casual but would pop against their brown dresses. Here's an example of one I loved: I suck at finding ebay people so I thought maybe the super sleuths here would be better at than me. Or does anyone know if it's easy to even make your own necklaces? I'm pretty crafty so I'm wondering if I can do it. Thanks for any help!

Wow. Very pretty! It would be nice to have "bridal portraits." I would be more comfortable with that then the BD pics.

Whoa it's expensive! I think its beautiful too, but I would never buy something that expensive. I think there are a ton of beautiful flower clips that are MUCH less expensive. But it's all about what you think. If it's the only thing you like, then I say go for it if you have the extra cash.
