  1. I can't wait to have my special moment. And I hope everyone claps for me too...like I'm a rockstar. That would be brilliant. Jamie, I must say that I love your siggy pic. I can just hear your guests chuckling as you guys get a little *ahem* into each other during the kiss.

It was dark but the water/waves were lit up electric blue. When the water washed onto the sand the beach was dotted with bright blue things, which the LC staff said was some kind of bioluminescent plankton. That sight, with the dark sky and perfectly full moon shining above, was breathtaking. It didn't last more than a few minutes but the show was spectacular. There I am in my wedding dress, Will in his wedding gear, both barefoot, with clumps of flourescent blue sand in our hands. All of our guests were at the water's edge with us, totally awestruck. It was like the universe making a toast for our wedding....lol Yet another reason why LC is spectacular and full of magical surprises ) Does this always happen or was this part of some plankton cycle? That would be so beautiful to see.
  3. Looks great! What a great idea to do a more casual invite for a DW and the formal for the AHR. Wish I would have thought of that!
  4. I love these!! Red Lobster redid their menu and forgot my favorite dish- Honey BBQ Chicken. YUM! I just went their a few days ago and saw they took my dish off the menu so we went somewhere else. But I wish I would have stayed long enough to get a bisquit. hahah I'm forwarding this to my sister. She's the cook.
  5. So pretty! Very similar to what I did. Orange side flower with brown right side text. I wish I had letter press though. They look wonderful!
  6. Everything looked great. That picture of the Bier Market looks fabulous. I bet it was so intimate. Congrats!
  7. Very beautiful. I love the close up one, but wow! The water in the second is gorgeous. You were a beautiful bride. Congrats.
  8. Here you go Jamie: Amanda and Humberto's Wedding And here's her planning bio: Bio Happy deciding!
  9. They really do. AND they take things back- no questions. One time a button on my pumps broke and they exchanged the shoes right then. They were like 6 months old and they didn't even care- or ask! I think doing business like that drives customer loyalty. I now buy more things from Nordstroms because I know they won't screw me over if something goes wrong.
  10. Can't wait for the review! I'm glad you saw Terra Noble too. A girl from the Knot had her wedding there and it looked so intimate and beautiful. Let me know if you would like to see her pics. I can try to track them down on one of my computers. I think I saved the weblink on one at home. I'm so thrilled you all loved LC. I haven't been there so it's so nice when people go and talk about how wonderful it is. I won't pressure you one way or another, but our guests have been so excited about the whole "adventure" the wedding is. Not many people get to take a private boat WITH open bar to a nice wedding ceremony/reception. Good luck on the hard decision!
  11. haha Lisa I love that pic. You are like "Awww...ya. Here's the drinks!"

  13. To further add, they have some really cute bridal headbands too. I think that would be adorable.
  14. be_byte6 - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Here's a website most of us girls have used to pull some inspiration pics off from. There is a section for short hair. There's seom really cute looks you could do. I really like the 20's/vintage inspired ones.
  15. I love the tea-length dresses. I wanted to do one but in the end I debated if I would feel truly bridal. Still gorgeous though. All the girls provided you what I know, so I have no pics or advice to offer. Just wanted to say I think it's a great style of dress- especially for a DW.
  16. Love your pictures! The photog did an amazing job. It's crazy that every wedding you see LC in a different way. I love the way it's able to still look unique after all the weddings we have viewed! Congrats. You looked beautiful and it looks like your people had a fabulous time! Why were a couple of them wet? haha
  17. Love the color of your dress! It just makes you think of a tropical ocean! Nice choice. I'm such an idiot though. I read this thread title and thought "Who is Bradley Fraiser?" and racked my brain for some celebrity. His name sounds "famous." Haha. I thought these were going to be engangement pics someone found of this famous "Bradley" with his new woman. Anyways, he did a great job.
  18. I think it depends on the person. If my grandma said no, I would still send her an invitation. If you invited people that are acquintances or coworkers, then I personally wouldn't spend the money to send them an invite. That might not be the correct etiquette but I'm cheap. lol But if I invite 30 people and only 10 said no and the minimum order of invites is 25 I would order all 30 to send out of politeness. But if it's going to cost you a lot more, then I wouldn't do it. As for how long it takes to order invites, some places require 4 weeks for ordering. I'd look at their website for some kind of disclaimer. Most have it there. If you are unsure of it getting here in time, then I would call and talk to the company to ensure they can do it short notice.
  19. These are great! I'm sure he will love them. They have an edgier feel than all the previous BD I have seen. Looks beautiful!
  20. I did this with my photog as well. Most that I contacted were willing to do a "custom" package for the budget I had. I emailed them my budget and they usually produced a list of things they would provide for that price. I didn't want prints, so most were very accomodating to replace prints with something else. I'm doing the same thing while trying to work out my WD. I'm telling the restaurants the price range I can afford. If they can't do it then they tell me and I try someone else. I think it never hurts to ask. Some may want your business and may be flexible.
  21. Gleaux is so original. I love them. Although I'm sure they are pretty spendy. I wouldn't spend that much on invites- I'm too cheap. hehe Beautiful to look at though.
  22. I like the resolution idea. What a great way to be inspired. We all look at the siggys all day...wouldn't it be nice if they inspired us to put the cookie down and get up and exercise! I know I need the help.
