It's nice to have a DJ emcee, but I would be cautious too. Search the forum because this topic has been discussed a bunch. Somewhere I read that someone had a DJ that didn't speak English too well or if he did, no one could understand him. Something along those lines. Personally, we are doing an Ipod. We aren't doing the "formal" announcements like a typical wedding. We only have 22 guests so I would feel silly. We will do a first dance and cake cutting but that's it. No need for announcing it.

It's so hard to "vacation" and eat right. We went to Vegas earlier this month and I was just happy I didn't gain any weight. Forget losing it! It's even harder to come back and kick start the healthy habits again. So good job Leigh. You'll be right back on track in no time!

Maggie has the worst models! I recognized a few of those. It's not only the models, it's how they are accessorized. Half look like they just ate a bird and the feathers got stuck in their hair.

I just totalled mine up- for the wedding day at LC itself (site, food, alcohol, transporation, decor, flowers) we have spent $9000. We only have 22 guests. We have about 16K into the entire wedding week itself. We didn't include clothes that we will buy for the vacation week- just actual wedding related stuff. But I'm not done buying stuff yet. Haha.

My photog is taking us to some place with a waterfall. She said something about fishing boats and possibly doing shots around downtown PV as well. I can ask her more specifics if you like. I just told her we were up for anything. Do you have a specific photog for your TTD yet? He/she will probably have a pretty good idea of where to do it.

Guys are clueless. When you say "lace up" he was probably picturing some new lace up bra. Plus even if you tell one of your girlfriends that your dress has a corset back, she will even have a VERY hard time figuring out what your dress looks like. I wouldn't worry at all.

The details of your wedding were beautiful. Your hard work definitely paid off. It was gorgeous. Were you a two dress bride? I swear your dress looks different in the TTD shots. LIke it had a lace overlay. And wow- you lucked out with those sunsets. What a gorgeous backdrop for some amazing photos.

Thanks Mora. I was hoping for some ball park picture and that certainly helps! I wasn't sure if this was an added extra that fit in the budget! I think we will do that then. I'll check out Walmart when we get there.

She told me she has a wedding Tues and Weds and mine is on Thurs. So I thought she would be busy with those and unable to meet me. I don't have THAT much stuff to take over there- plus I think my FI and his best man are going over early so I will put them to work carrying stuff. We are taking the whole wedding party over for some nice relaxation time. We aren't traditional so we don't care about seeing each other the whole day prior to the ceremony. We just want to enjoy LC!

haha seems fair enough. I always give out advice here, but never follow it for myself. Worrying is just part of the magic of wedding planning.
