I also bought these capiz napkin rings. I thought they would look cute. I haven't received them yet.

They also had these. I thought about buying a couple and hang them from the corners of the chuppah if I decided I couldn't afford the whole curtain. I thought they were cute.

$35 each. I thought they were actually $17each when I lugged them up to the register. They had a sign that said "tortoise capiz shells 50%" and I couldn't find any of the capiz shells that were labeled "tortoise." They also have REALLY pretty turquoise ones Carly but I think they were $35 each too!

I was going to buy those from wildthings but I read a review that said they are actually really flimsy disks. Kinda cheap looking. FYI. I bought two curtains from Cost Plus World Market. They were kinda expensive, but they did have brown and white versions on sale for $17. I had to buy the white ones- you know, it was my vision. Hopefully they make it back in one peice, because I will be willing to sell them to a BTB. I didn't realize there was this much interest in them or I would have shared all of my searching. I searched for capiz strands for a long time!

I think having them in a different dress but with a unified look is a good idea. I remember your BM dresses too. They are gorgeous. I think it would be easy to tell all the girls to find a cute brown dress. Orange or pink are kinda hard because there are so many variations of the shades. Parasols aren't too much money. If you would like everyone to have them for pics, why not? If they are honorary BMs then let them show off to everyone that they are someone special to you.

Well and really, they have only dated a month. Like they can't separate for a few days for her to go to her best friend's wedding. I hope she would be wise enough and considerate enough to look beyond her feelings and realize this is your wedding. She should be doing what's most imporant to you and if that means bunking up with your other best friend, well then do it! That's what friends do.

Wow. How thoughtful of you to even consider this. First of all, I think your MOH has no right to back out of the arrangements. If she REALLY wants him to go, then I think she should pay for the room she currently has arranged and pay for the room to have her boyfriend in. I mean, is that fair to Angie that a few months before the wedding she can't go when she thought it was all taken care of? I have two guests bunking up to that have never even met eachother. One is recently divorced and the other is happy married, but her husband couldn't make it. If her husband decided he could come late in the game, I would try my best to find a different solution, but if nothing panned out, in the end she already paid.

Your alignment is probably out. My chiropractor once said one of my legs was over 1/2 shorter due to my pelvis. They can totally put you back in place and you will feel so much better. I had severe neck pain for a lot of years- which prompted me to see the chiropractor in the first place. It was amazing to see xrays of my neck- due to whiplash, it bent the opposite of the natural curvator in the neck. It was crazy to see. I was like No wonder I hurt!

Ok while I totally understand your frustration, you still have a year. Have you considered if you can do the DW without your family there? I think that's something to decide early on otherwise you find yourself super stressed and knee deep in a lot of heartache. My FI was extremely upset that his family wasn't going to come but he was resolved to still have the DW. He felt that it was their loss. They ended up booking a little bit ago. Guilt set in and they used money that was suppose to repair their roof to go. Now I think they are just trying to make us feel bad that they had to use that money to go to our wedding, but I saw so many things that they maybe shouldn't have bought along the way. People just have weird priorities sometimes. But whatever...at least they are coming in the end. I wouldn't get too worked up now. A lot will change in a year- trust me!!

Aww Stephanie. This whole situation really sucks. I hope your mom wises up and sees that verbal abuse is only the gateway to more abuse. Especially with this guy. I mean I just can't imagine her thought process. She knows he's a criminal and I'm assuming she's hoping that he has changed his ways. But at the first sign of him regressing towards his past ways, wouldn't you wise and leave him alone? I hope things all change soon and your mother decides not only to postpone the wedding a few weeks, but to not marry him altogether. Stay strong.

Ohh bridesmaids in white. I can't wait to see that since that's hardly ever done. I bet it will look so fresh and sharp.

Personally I went to 4 weddings last summer and I can't think of any of their favors except one. Ironically, it was a CD that I don't really listen to since I don't have the same taste in music (not to offend your idea though). I guess what I'm trying to say is that I think favors are the smallest detail that most guests forget. My FI wants to give everyone mini bottles of tequila so that's what we are doing. I know many people that don't even drink at my wedding, but I figure I can do their shot for them. haha At least Doug's taking interest right? I used to get mad at my FI because he didn't seem to care about anything. He would always nod approvingly without really listening. I say resist the need to control everything and give him a shot to do good.

Wonderful photos. You looked radiant. You party looked like they really had some fun. I too liked the nail color. I don't want a french manicure either since I have horrible nails- I'm a biter. It would so not look right to have fake nails on during the wedding. That shade of pink is what I was thinking of.

Oh my goodness. That was fabulous. How gorgeous. Leigh (and Nic), you both captured the emotion so wonderfully. And where are Katie and Marcus from? The land of the pretty people? Everyone was gorgeous- especially Katie. She just shined! Congrats!

Ok I'm a reality TV junkie so I usually catch this on the reruns. But that convo Diddy had with Aubrey was hilarious. She has to ask for permission to get a weave? For whatever reason she kinda bugs me now. She was my fav when they were actually making the band. Not sure why she bothers me now- she just does. I can't wait for the Donnie Audrey fall out either. Has it already happened?

My wedding is during spring break- at least for most of the NW schools. I did this on purpose though- most of my family is in the school system so it was convenient for them BUT more expensive for everyone else. I think you will be ok. I haven't heard of a spring break in Feb.

Can I bump this thread? I had purchased a veil and ordered it standard cut. When it arrived it definitely was not the style I thought it would be. Does anyone have any pictures of long veils waltz length? I want to order another veil but I don't want to screw up again. I'm hoping to find a pic to send this time. I'm not sure if the style I'm thinking of is called "cascading sides."
