  1. I hate when that happens. I definitely adjusted mine so it's no where in sight come wedding time. My FI barely tolerates my horomonal freak outs. Good luck!
  2. Tami- that's St. Patty's weekend. That's when I'm doing mine too. We didn't realize it when we planned it so added bonus.
  3. His tan and plastic hair freaks me out.
  4. Oh I can't wait to see this. Thank you MTV for always repeating everything 2,349 times. Side note- My FI and I really need to get a DVR. We always talk about it but never do. We suck.
  5. I like the paint versions of the pic. Maybe something fun would be to do a Andy Warhol version of it. Is that possible? I think you did a REALLY good job touching it up though.
  6. Your mom just has the old school mentality. As others have pointed out, a guests attendance is not required. They have the option of choosing if this works for them and declining if it doesn't. Just because something is an AI it doesn't mean it's cost free either. We are having a welcome dinner at our AI and still have to pay $30 per head for the dinner. You will still pay for the guests meals if you choose to do a private event. Your guests will thank you if you go for an AI. All my guests keep saying that they love the fact that everything is already paid for. No hidden costs so they can have a worry-free trip.

You all deserve way more praise for what you do! AMEN! The only time you hear parents talking about teachers is when they want to b*tch about them. I started out my collegiate career (haha it really was a 6 year "career") in the Ed. program. I did do some student teaching- particularly in a summer school program. Yikes- some parents are RIDICULOUS!! It's such a shame to because I wondered what the kids would actually be like if they had an active adult in their life. Catherine- sorry for the rough day. I hope it gets better and I really hope you can find a way to deal with the ADHD student.
  8. Abbie- count me in. Seattle is only a 4 hour drive. I don't think there is any other Oregon girls Plus I love all you Seattle girls too!

He wanted to have another one and I thought it was only fair that I had another one too. We decided to do a co-party this time. Woohoo! We will show those boys how to have a good time!
  10. I would totally come too! Damn the states being too far apart!
  11. Did you ever see the show they have after the hills- like the recap or something? They totally took all those weird things that Spencer said/did during their huge fight and made it into this funny little clip. Totally exaggerated how psychotic he is. I died laughing!
  12. I'm sorry to hear that nothing has really changed. You guys know what's best for you so if not having him at the wedding is what's best, I wish you luck. I would have a very hard time standing by and watching my mom go through this as well. I really hope things turn around!
  13. Very cool safe. FI and I have a small safe in our house that we have keys for. We just went to get in it the other day but noticed both our keys are missing off our key rings. I paniced and freaked out. My sister has the same safe and oddly enough- same key. How dumb is that? It's like suitcase keys. Thankfully all our stuff was still in the safe, but I was scared it wasn't. I like the idea of having a combo lock but hopefully I wouldn't forget it!
  14. And you still look good after 4 pitchers? I'm impressed. If that was a pic of me after 4 pitchers, my hair would be so disheveled and my eyes would begin to droop. When I start drinking, in all my drunk pics I look like I'm seizing.
  15. I get really blotchy too Carly when embarrassed, sad, or any type of emotion really. I'm scared for the wedding day- I don't want to look like a blotchy wreck. Maybe an extra thick veil over my head and chest will do. Maybe FI thinks beekeepers are hot. My FI also has skin like yours. He barely gets a scratch and he welts up really bad. It looks like I beat the crap out of him.
  16. Be thankful for minimal alterations. I needed a lot and go for my 2nd fitting tomorrow. I will probably need to have her do more too!
  17. Looks awesome Morgan. I plan on doing a quick letter to everyone before we leave. I'll look into vistaprint. That's a great price!
  18. Complicated yet fabulous! I think I wrapped my head around that design- I think they will be gorgeous and very unique. Keep us updated Amy. I know you can do it!
  19. Very festive and islandy. I can't wait to see these in pics.
  20. If I started drinking at 9am, I would end up in some Boston gutter. My liver would go on strike for sure. I think it would be fun to try though!
  21. We are going to wait 3 months too. Simply because we want to do something outdoors and Oregon's weather is not always pleasant. I don't think it's that big of a deal. I doubt most people will care- they just want to celebrate with you.

I actually work in a firehouse where the firefighters are on duty. It is an interesting job to say the least! I'm an executive asssitant too. I think it's the nature of the job to know it all!
  23. Oh I'm sad now I missed Boston on my trip back East last summer. I did get to go to NYC and Philly. I had so much fun- things are WAAAAYYY different there than they are here for this little naive Oregon girl. And I thought our bars were bad for closing at 2! 1am is when the fun and drunken slurs begin.

  25. Ok I don't know who he is but wow, he's a really good sport. That's too funny!
