We don't feel married yet because we chose not even to recognize it. I don't even remember the date we got married on. Sometime around Jan 12 I think.

Yah and what Maura said. God knows a year ago I wanted to lose all that weight before the wedding day, but nope. You should be proud you were able to accomplish it. It's so hard- we all know!
  3. Now I feel bad. I didn't mean to make it seem like I was bagging on sororities. I wasn't in one so I can't say what you get from them. I've only witnessed the stress my sister has experienced with juggling a personal life, job, school work and sorority functions. It could be her too. She sucks at time management.
  4. That I finally bought the paper product to make my menus and programs. haha now, just 6 days to make the dang things!
  5. I had the same feeling. BUT- is your dressed altered to fit you yet? When mine was kinda baggy, I thought i looked huge. I asked them to take in the hips and when I went back for my 2nd fitting it was so much better. I still don't like the photographs but I figure the lighting will be better than the stupid florescent lighting. Plus a pro photog will probably catch better angles.
  6. No no. She constantly has events and she gets fined when she can't go. For example, she had to work and tried to get it off but she got denied and missed event. I think they charged her $25. Then another time she had to leave my grandparents 50th anniversary party early for something. She has had a hard time doing the "bridal" stuff with me too. Plus she has been put on study tables and she's a senior. I think that's crazy. Her overall GPA is above a 3.0 but she did bad one term. Maybe it's just her sorority... She loves the girls, but she hates all the rules.
  7. OMG!! Now that's living like p diddy. I wonder where the real world/ road rules stayed during their last challenge. THat place looked pimpin too.

I think she has fines up the wazoo now.
  9. haha guys are so silly. And you know- the funniest part is they are the only ones that get suckered in for those sob stories too. I'm glad it worked out Maura. Otherwise, he deserved a huge smack.
  10. You looked so cute in your dress. I loved the pink sash. The picture of the kiss with the thumbs up is priceless. The waters were a perfect backdrop! SO beautiful. Congrats!
  11. oooohhh that's pretty. I made my BM their jewelry. It was my first time and now that I look at yours, mine are so amateur looking. Oh well!
  12. haha. You could always trick her. Speaking of which, I asked my mom a long time ago to send me my great-grandma's hankie so I could get my intials emroidered in it to start a new heirloom. Grrrr...slacking mom!
  13. Good point. Sometimes I lose my sense of humor and coincidentally it's during PMS time. Poor FI never knows how I'll react. Joke or not though, your feelings were hurt. I'd simply ask his intentions. If he meant it as a joke and it just went wrong, it's not as bad as him taking jabs at you- which would be really STUPID, IMO. Respect is huge for me as I'm sure it is for all of you. Try not to take it to heart yet Maura. Guys are just really dumb sometimes and don't think about how things may come across.
  14. good work! Your getting it done so early too! Good for you. At least you won't be like me and have nothing done! I love the labels on the first aid kit. Very cute.
  15. Easy when you can just program your sewing machine to do it. hehe or you could cross stitch. That's easier.
  16. But wouldn't he warn her about that since he told her that he posted the ad? I would ask him about it and tell him it hurt your feelings. I think that's all you can really do. I would wait a bit to calm down before going home though.
  17. JUST EMBROIDERED TOTES Ok I didn't see hankies- just burp cloths. I'm sure those would work. hehe Anyways, maybe just email her and ask. She was super easy to work with.
  18. Morgan, I bought some embroidered totes from a lady and I know she did hankies too. I'll try to find her website- I don't know what she charged for them. I hope it's a good deal.
  19. He really wrote that Maura? Or did someone else as a joke? I don't even know what to say. I'm so hurt for you.
  20. yay! I hope you have a wonderful celebration!
  21. I like hens night too. Especially if you get to call the guys night "cocks night."
  22. I'm just going to stop smiling so much. Voila- problem solved.
  23. have you checked the cheap accessories stores like Claires? I really haven't seen many clear when I've been out and about though.
  24. I feel like griping now too- My back hurts. I think I'm too old and tweaked it somehow. I've also noticed larger crows feet in my pictures. WTF!!
