  1. When did Jill become a TA? Have I been gone too long? Happy birthday nonetheless. I say eat cake! It won't kill you.
  2. Ok I don't know what the overlay on my dress was but it didn't iron well. I tried steaming it with the hotel iron and accidentally scorched a small spot on the overlay. I would definitely do a test run before purchasing yards of fabric!

  4. I changed my dress. I brought one just in case. I had a hard time sitting down with my corset back dress. It pushed my boobs up to my neck- literally to my neck! Plus my bustle kept coming undone. I was like that's it! The dress is coming off. I wanted to wear it the whole time, but it got too annoying.
  5. We had such a small wedding- only 20 people including us! The boat ride back was still really fun. Everyone was toasted- not me since I was sick. I just ran around trying to take pics of accidental flashings of the naughty bits. We are retarded but literally everyone that went over the day of the wedding forgot to pack underwear. haha We forgot to pack lots of stuff, but no naughty bits exposed thank goodness. Poor Steve did see a quick flash of my sister's bum before she put on some board shorts to wear under her dress on the ride back.
  6. boat ride back- remind your BM to pack panties. It gets windy....hehe My mom and sister shakin it at the front of the boat. Cruise director called us to the front for an honorary tequila shot toast. Don't mind my awesome outfit. It was cold! I also dumped my tequila over the side of the boat when no one was looking. No thank you!
  7. Food buffet. Standing next to the buffet looking back toward the table/bar. Everyone just eating! I love all the mid-bite shots. The cake.
  8. OMG I promised myself I would work while at work since my desk is COVERED with papers. I don't know how this place operates without me! I can't get off the forum either. I will share what I have though. None are of me though hehe. Brides perspective at dinner. My sister's hair/MOH It was really cute and my hairdresser did an excellent job. Favors table- kinda. We forgot to pack the pashminas that was for the ladies and accidentally left them at the resort. SO here's the tequila for the men. I brought these mosaic vases for the bouquets. I was too cheap to purchase actual centerpieces. I'm glad I didn't too. It was so dark I couldn't even see the flowers. The table opposite end of us.
  9. True dat! Ours were bubble wrapped so I think it helped contain some of the leakage. I wasn't sure if I was smelling tequila on FI because everytime I turned around he was taking another shot!
  10. haha it's half done! It's saved on my home computer. It's so long right now though. I may have wrote too much. Oops!
  11. Kinda broke after the wedding/honeymoon. I definitely wanted to donate though. Good luck Melissa. This is such a sad situation. My good friend/hairdresser has MS. She had such a hard time in Mexico and felt rotten the whole time. It was so sad. You are such a great person!
  12. Oh it looks like you guys had fun! I love your hair color Abbie! Has it always been that color or did you just change it? I thought it was darker.
  13. I just returned home on Sat. I was hoping some guests would have some for me, but so far nope! Jerks. hehe I am kinda going crazy. I want to know what my hair looked like. I forgot to bring a mirror and I didn't get to see it finished. A compact didn't really let me see the back to well!
  14. Oh I love that Carly! I would totally use that every day too!
  15. I've watched a few of these. Some are on my DVR still since I haven't had a chance to catch up on my shows. After eating like a pig for two weeks, I hope to kick start some healthier eating habits.

Ditto. Most of my guests got theirs cut off so it wasn't in photos. Super easy. Make sure to move that puppy around though if you are there for a few days prior to the wedding. Otherwise, you will have an awesome tan line!
  17. Super cute clutch! I didn't have anything but in hindsight it would have been helpful. I don't think I remembered to reapply my lipstick at all!
  18. boca de tomatlan- that's the nearest town. And they are called pangas. It shouldn't be too expensive either. Thanks Jaime! I hope to have some pics to share with all you girls soon. I don't have pro ones yet and I didn't have many pics of the actual wedding- I do have some to share though that I took. Haha I felt so silly, but I was walking around during dinner taking pics of the set up thinking- I need these for the forum girls! I hope some friends sending me some pics of the ceremony. I'm dieing to see something! I haven't even seen one pic of us on the wedding day!
  19. Mel, I don't think it was that bright at LC by 6pm. My FI has to wear sunglasses too- even at the dentist which I think is super silly. He didn't squint at all. You will find it's not that bright at all- it's nearly sunset by that time after all. It has that pre-sunset light which is really soft.
  20. You can go to the southern most city- it started with a B I think. I'll look at my emails for the exact city name. You can hire a panga (crap I think that's what its called) to take you to LC. It's a 20 minute ride. That's what the photogs do. I'll sift through my email to find Nicole's exact response. It shouldn't be too expensive. I'm currently working on my review/ summary. The guys came over with us and ended up bored all day. I think it would be a good idea to have them to come over around 3ish.
  21. I just finished The Other Boleyn Girl during the honeymoon trip. I absolutely loved it but it's over 500 pages long. I would like to recommend it for the club, but I think it might be a little too lengthy for some. I'm about half way through Love in the Time of Cholera. I hope to have it finished soon so I can start reading the new book! Did everyone like Lovely Bones? I didn't read it with the group since I was gone, but I've read it before and really liked it.
  22. My programs were the simpliest of simple. I did them last minute and finsihed them the day before we left! Nonetheless, here's a pic of them: Sorry the pic is so bad! Updated- here's the pro pic. I've also attached the template. program draft.doc
  23. No, that table was for the favors for the men. I didn't do a seating chart and allowed people to sit wherever they wanted. I had a table of favors set up, but the day of the wedding I forgot to pack the ladies. Unfortunately we just had a table of favors for the men. I tried to find tequila in the flea market but all we could find was novelty type bottles- like little clay people with their butts hanging out molded on the bottle, etc. We just went down the street and found a tequila testing store- this one was not a timeshare ploy. They actually sold tequila without a speech. You can find cheaper tequila everywhere- like actual liquor stores. We wanted to buy a really nice tequila so they would enjoy it. Not just something to use as a keepsake and never drink because it's a horrible tequila. I would personally purchase the tequila there so you don't have to worry about them getting broke. We brought back several bottles of tequila and when were collecting our luggage we smelt tequila really bad. Fortunately, it wasn't our suitcase but someone elses. I imagine it broke. Thankfully, ours made it, but one did kinda leak from pressure change I believe. It didn't get on anything.
  24. We ended up buying our mini tequila bottles at a tequila tasting shop up from the "flea market." It was great because we got to taste test before we decided on one. We really like the almond tequila so we purchased 8 mini bottles as favors for the men (for the non-drinkers, we figured it was so good that even the women would like it.) They were a really big hit and many drank them the night of the wedding even though it was an open bar. You can see them here: I believe we paid $10 per 250 ml bottle. We probably could have found something cheaper but we didn't want to have a bad tequila and we didn't do much shopping around either.
