  1. hahah I hope they make it incredible awkward and weird so he squirms more. I love doing things like that to people. SO funny.

OMG why didn't my dad do that?

I just stood at the top for awhile trying to figure out how to do it. My MOH/sister stopped and came back up when she saw I didn't move. She tried lifting my dress for me but that just made me feel less stable. I ended up scooping the whole thing up and slowly walked down with my dress around my waist. I probably exposed a little too much, but I was stinkin nervous! Nicole saw me and laughed. She said she wished more photographers captured this part with the bride's dress hiked up to the waist. When I finally got to the point where I was in front of everyone, I probably looked like a clumsy idiot. I can't wait to see photos of it because I can't remember if I let my dress fall down a bit more. I was too nervous and I don't really remember that part much.
  4. Yep. They sale them EVERYWHERE. I can't wait to wear them again because honestly- so comfortable. I felt like I was walking around naked but no one was running away in disgust.

Speaking of which- the best part about LC in the day is the parrots and owls that fly from tree to tree overhead. It's so pretty and you truly feel like you are on a magical island. My BM held the monkey which I was VERY jealous about. By the time I hiked my butt up to the bridal suite I didn't want to hike down for the monkey. I should have though. Totally regretting it.
  6. Did you all hear from Marla prior to her wedding? I wonder if she will report back. Do we have any other member soon?
  7. Everything looks great! I love the chocolate OOT bags. I had purchased khaki colored ones for my bridal party and they got SO dirty. I bet the chocolate color will fair better. I love your earrings and dress. Can't wait to see pics of it all together!
  8. Oh totally Ann. My guests had such a blast- not just the wedding day, but the whole trip, everyone wants to make it an annual thing. They were already talking about Grand Cayman while we were there. I thought it was funny. Plus it's inspired my grandparents to travel more. We are doing a quick trip to Reno with my parents this summer and my mom said now my grandparents want to come and my aunt too! I was like wow, this trip inspired everyone to have more group trips!
  9. Oh and to comment about the boat ride- I get motion sickness pretty easily in the car or on the plane. The boat didn't bother me at all- I didn't take any dramomine either. My mom did- she was fine. My grandma who was SUPER worried about the boat didn't get sick coming or going. It's not bad at all. The wind does pick up in the afternoon so some commented that when they were coming over for the wedding it was rough. No casualties though.
  10. I came down the a cold prior to me leaving. I was popping pills like crazy and I thought I had it nearly beat by the time I got there. I drank for a few days and that probably helped the bug creep up on my immunity again. During our welcome dinner the night before the wedding, I just felt like crap. My cough got so deep and I couldn't breathe. My family gave me z-pak or whatever it is. $24 in MX for 6 pills! I'm still sick with the cold now that I'm back. I've had it for nearly 3 weeks now. Probably time to see the doctor.
  11. I found a cute floppy hat at Target. When I wore it, everyone commented that I liked like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman. I probably looked like a turd, but I didn't want my forehead to get burnt. As for what I wore, in the day- swimsuits/board shorts. In PV, I bought some of the sundresses ALL the vendors sale. They are technically swimsuit cover ups for most people, but they were so light and flowy I wore them out around town. I don't have a full lenght picture of this one but here it is: Here's the other: I bought them each for $15. By far the most comfortable things I have ever worn. I even went braless. Haha why not- it's your honeymoon. If you see some, buy them!
  12. Oh and Jaime- my guests had a blast. I have had so many people from my work (a few of my family members work at the same company as me too) tell me that they heard I had the most gorgeous wedding. It really does blow a traditional wedding out of the water. Your guests will leave in awe.
  13. I wasn't really bummed about the size. I was just suprised how much smaller it was. I don't know why I thought it was bigger- maybe because I stared at the map on their website for so long. All in all, it was great. I wish I felt better in the day because I think I was kinda cranky feeling- especially in the morning getting to the marina and then onto to the boat. I was so tired and it felt like such a pain at the time. Again- I think it was just the cranky sick combo. Once I had lunch, I felt much better. I had a great time though. I just wish it was easier to get around LC. Everywhere I turned there were stairs so I didn't explore much. I didn't want to climb more than I had to. I'm sure brides in 100% health will have much different feelings. I was bummed I didn't find the bed in the jungle or hike up to the orchidarium. As for the wedding- it was all great. I didn't even care about the small hiccups. I had gotten to a point where I just wanted to get all the wedding stuff done. I was happy it was finally time to just relax and have a good time after the ceremony. So much pressure relieved. We had a blast dancing and eating dinner. It's so pretty at night!
  14. my dog had a couple when she was just a puppy. It was so scary. I thought I was a bad mommy. The vet had told me that the smaller breeds sometimes can have them because of puppy hypoglycemia. At least I think that's what she said- it was 5 years ago. Since your dog is older that's probably not the case. I hope you find out the reason soon! I'm so sorry for poor Sheeba. I hate seeing my dogs in pain.
  15. I voted for number one. That's kinda what mine looked like. It felt nice to have it off the shoulders- plus I always worry about my curl going limp when I wear it down. I think an updo would look great with your dress plus showcase you pretty face.
  16. That's kinda what we did. We went out Friday and Saturday. When you are there a week, you have plenty of time to get your groove on.
  17. haha this was like one of my biggest fears during our wedding trip. I was just waiting for my groom and his best man to get out of control. No jail time, but the best man did piss himself in front of everyone while we were all chatting around the pool. At first, I thought it was just water dripping, but the drips turned to a full stream. Then I looked at his face and saw the "ahhhhh....I just pissed" face. People scooted away while we laughed uncontrolably. Things only got bad when he sat in a chair next to my grandpa and pissed himself AGAIN! That's when Steve finally escorted him to his room. Needless to say, he wasn't able to make it to our welcome dinner that night.

I wouldn't wear anything on your feet. THe stairs are smooth rocks and I walked barefoot the whole time. I felt much more comfortable bare foot than I did walking around in flip flops earlier in the day. The soles of my flip flops kept slipping on the stairs. And if I can go down the stairs without falling- so can you! Just go slower than everyone else!

How much time after the ceremony do you think you actually had to take pics? I figure between March and April there isnt too much much of a difference so I am just trying to get an idea. Thank you! -Andi Hi Andi. I'm not sure how much time we had to take pics. Maybe an hour? Or slightly less? We got done and there was still some light left and Beth had asked me if there were anymore shots I wanted. I was so brain dead I didn't know if there any others we wanted/needed. I couldn't even remember the ones we had just took. Some of my guests jumped in and were like "can you take a picture of me with so and so?" So Beth took some shots of my family with their friends in the end. Taking pictures before hand is always an option too. I wasn't opposed to the idea but Beth never asked us if we wanted too. She had done a few more LC weddings so I figured she knew if we needed to have some pre-ceremony shots together. I'll let you know in three weeks if you truly do need to do them pre-ceremony. I can't wait to see the pictures either!

I was afraid some of the older folks wouldn't want to stay up that late. Surprisingly, my grandma and grandpa were up like every night with everyone in our resorts cantina or hot tub partying down. We didn't go to a club afterwards- we planned on it but I was sick and once we got back to the marina I just felt I couldn't continue on. I went out the following night instead. We confirmed our date as well. January 19th. It is penciled in anyways. Congrats! You'll love it! But we are thinking of continuing the party afterwards in Vallarta. Did anyone else do that? Or am I thinking that I am going to have way more energy then I think I am. Jamy did. You may have a lot of energy afterwards- espeically if you continue to drink on the boat. Our resort was too far away from downtown so we just didn't want the hassle of taking a separate taxi back. Everyone was pooped out though. We got up at 6am-ish the day of the wedding.
  21. OMG I had no idea this post exited. Thanks for directing me to it Morgan! I seriously laughed my ass off. I'm seating here waiting for my damn fries to bake (sweet potato fries to be healthier of course- hehe) and I'm laughing so hard I have a side ache. That's hilarious. You guys are too funny and definitely out wit me any day. Now I really must go because FI (errrr...DH) is yelling at me to get my ass in the kitchen and finish dinner. haha Married life- bleh, who needs it?

  23. Edited- added others I had on the LC thread. boat ride back- remind your BM to pack panties. It gets windy....hehe My mom and sister shakin it at the front of the boat. Cruise director called us to the front for an honorary tequila shot toast. Don't mind my awesome outfit. It was cold! I also dumped my tequila over the side of the boat when no one was looking. No thank you!
  24. I don't have any wedding ceremony pics. Sorry, I was busy at that time. Here's some dinner shots- Bride's view: *note* groom subject to change. The bar somewhere in there:
  25. LC Beaches- Awww paradise! Panoramic view from where I was sitting- this was the best I could do! I thought this one was pretty:
