My BD book Came in!!
jajajaja replied to Saraha's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
Oh I missed this when I was gone! I'm so happy it popped up on the new posts! You look amazing- every single photo! You are soo pretty too. I love the personality in the photos. (Ok i'm going to stop because it's beginning to sound like I'm in love with you. hehe) AND why didn't you use the pics with the flowers for this month's bouquet siggy theme? hehe -
Happy birthday Amy! I hope Andy has some good plans up his sleeve!

Future sis-in-law driving me crazy!!
jajajaja replied to Mrs. Martin's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
I agree that your SIL has no right to comment on who you send invites to,. Just as an alternative perspective though- I didn't send invites to people that said no to the STD either. I did, however send them to family members that said no just for respect since they were family and also in hopes that they would change their minds. Several did too. DH had a few family members that booked like last minute. For us though, it was a matter of making 20 more invites. If you have to make 200 to accomdate his family, then I would skip it too. That's too much money. -
My bridesmaids hate their dresses!
jajajaja replied to Leticia's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
That really sucks! I can empathize though. I buy dresses from the internet all the time and have to send most of them back because they end up not fitting me right or the material is really unforgiving and the model looked great in it. You have plenty of time to find a new dress though. Maybe just give them a color and they can get what they want? I had to order new BM dresses because WE all hated the first ones. I got the second dress from Nordstrom for $55 each. It worked great because it fit different body types well. In the meantime, try not to stress. While it really sucks, it should be easy to find a new one- after all it's spring. Dresses are everywhere! Let your BMs do the work and then just show you for final approval. That way you don't even have to think about it. Plus don't you want your girls to feel good about themselves the day of the wedding too? One time I looked like a stuffed sausage as a BM and I hated the wedding photos. I threw away all the photos the bride gave me with me in them. Sounds vain, but I couldn't look at it without getting sad. -
Dress Blues
jajajaja replied to can't wait!'s topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Ok while you loved the dress, if you can't afford it (or can but don't want to spend that money) I'm sure if you keep looking you will find a dress that blows this one out of the water. For a cheaper price too! There were several dresses I tried on that I really liked. I went to buy the one I really liked and ended up trying on more dresses and bought a different one. Keep trying them on! You'll find one you will love just as much! -
Oh no! At least you have plenty of time to get it fixed before the wedding and to find a color that works. My hair is a dark blonde but I use box color when I either don't have time to go to the salon, or I can't stand the thought of spending all that money. It's never affected my color when I actually get it done at the salon though. Weird. Maybe it's because my hair isn't brown? I've had a hair mishap once though- accidentally turned it orange too. I put my hair in pigtails and laughed that I looked like I belonged in Fraggle Rock. Maybe instead of being a on fire homeless person, you could do the Fraggle Rock look too?

Getting "married" before DW?

We didn't want it to take away from our "real" wedding ceremony so we just had fun with it. -
We're MARRIED! With pics, of course!!
jajajaja replied to Heidi's topic in Destination Weddings in Jamaica
OMG Heidi. First, congrats! Second, welcome back. Third, holy crap I love your photos. You looked beautiful and the emotion was captured so well. I'm VERY jealous. I had 20 guests and NO ONE has sent me pics yet. I haven't seen ANY ceremony pics and I am so impatient. Looks like you had a great time. I love the individual BM dresses- totally allows them to show their own style. The pic of you guys dancing in the disco is awesome. -
Ok I finally watched Mondays show- I missed 2 weeks though- forgot to DVR while I was gone. Marshana- what the hell? Why's she still there? When he kissed her it looked like he was giving his mama a peck. That had NO heat! Drunk girl- that's hilarious. First clip they showed of her that night, I was laughing at her disheveled hair. I was thinking that's what mine always looks like when I'm wasted and come to find out- she was wasted! I love her logic- Ummm...I have nothing to say to your question so I will flash my boobs at you. Ok, there- showed him I do like him. haha

Ok I'm late but the name "push present" kinda grosses me out. How about "new mommy present." haha Also- the idea that they used that money to buy a RIDICULOUS ring pisses me off a little. We get it- you're rich. Is that the only thing you are trying to express with a ring that huge?

What to wear the rest of the time?
jajajaja replied to megansg's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Floppy Hat - White : Target Heres the hat I bought at Target, but in black. It was cute and it packed well. It didn't get all ruined like some of my other hats have done after stuffing them in a suitcase. -
Room rates for guests

I understand but the thing is..they can afford it and they are being really rude about it. Our friends are the ones that can't really afford it and they are so pumped about it. My best friend is getting married like two months before us and I have asked her numerous times if they can afford it and she keeps telling me yes. Why does family have to be like that? I broke down. I know its my day and I should do what I want (I already put the deposit down so we are doing it no matter what) but I want everyone to be together. Anyone else have problems with the future inlaws? I wouldn't get too upset about them staying somewhere else. While it sucks because they won't be at the same place as everyone else, I also kinda think it's unfair to ask them to stay somewhere else if they have a timeshare. Even if they have the money, saving money on vacations is still nice. Plus, it would be their vacation too. If this were a situation where it would cost you extra to pay for day passes to a resort for them to attend the wedding, I would think differently. However you are getting married at LC right? No extra fees there. You may even find that some people will just go do their own thing anyways. Some guests of ours stayed at our resort, but I didn't see them much more than a few times around the pool and at the wedding. People like to do their own things and explore- it's hard to get a large group to agree on anything. I had two people not even show up to the wedding- they lost track of time, apparently. Plus- if it's your inlaws that you don't really like, be thankful you don't have to spend every moment with them. At least they are going. I hope it works out! -
beach reception tip -- have a "shoe table"

I have my WW meeting tomorrow and I'm dreading the weigh in. I lost 4 lbs the week right before I left and now I'm probably returning after 2 weeks of eating like crap with a heavier number than when I actually started WW! I guess I don't feel too bad though- it was my wedding/honeymoon. It's only fair to live a little and have 1 or 2 (possibly 4) margaritas while laying by the pool. I just know I'm going to pay for it tomorrow!

Welcome back! I like the name "Butler girl." Is that your last name? My mom's maiden name is Butler and she has 5 sisters. Nearly all the grandchildren ended up being girls too- strong girl gene I guess. We all call ourselves the "Butler girls."

We would like zoom in and laugh some more. She has really big eyes- I'm not sure why she made them even bigger! haha Here's another we laughed at. And this one of my sister. It was fun to zoom in on her face too. Or this one of Steve....he looks like he grew a bushy moustache during the boat ride. I look at and imagine him saying "You talking to me?" in a really good Italian accent. -
Wow. First of all, at some point I would make it known to your mom that it was not ok and no, you didn't understand. I'd wait till after the wedding though. No need for more drama. I'm glad it worked out in the end. Your sister rocks! As for your mom, wow- who knows what the deal is there. The only reason I would let her know that it wasn't ok so that hopefully it will give her a little eye opener that her behavior is hurting those she loves. She may not realize now, but hopefully soon it will dawn on her.
