What about presents for me?
-
Oh I should add that I found a day of the dead bride and groom while shopping in the flea market a few days prior to the wedding. I totally wanted to buy it as an impromptu cake topper but everyone looked at me like I was crazy. I should have done it damnit!
-
No I didn't see that thread. I was rifling through my photogs site- you know, impatiently stalking it! haha ELIZABETH LLOYD - Photographer under Cameo & Ryan. Their cake is the 5th picture from the end. I think it's really cool looking.

Rachel's Las Caletas Review/ Wedding Recap
jajajaja replied to jajajaja's topic in Destination Wedding Reviews
Most places give you bottled water- at least everywhere we went. LC food is so good. I don't think they have anything to worry about. Plus if there was, you would hear about it on this forum. There's been a lot of LC brides. -
Might be water retention. I'm bigger at the end of the day too.

Great review Heidi! The resort looks beautiful! I'm so happy you had a great time. Can't wait to read about the wedding.! -
Ok these moms need to go to jail too. Seriously- they are responsible for why their daughters are so F'ed up! The moms are crazy bitches too!

Aww totally cute Jessica. I haven't been around babies much and I love all the new stuff they have for them- that bumbo seat and that one big pillow thing it looks like he is strapped too. I hope more mommies share!

Marla's Las Caletas wedding review
jajajaja replied to MarlaB's topic in Destination Wedding Reviews
I'm not Marla, but I'll answer. haha It was cold-ish coming back. It wasn't OMG freezing, but it's definitely more comfortable with a jacket/sweater. Plus it's REALLY windy! I reminded all my guests to bring a jacket the night before the wedding- everyone did too. My guests had no complaints about the water- it was smooth sailing on the way back, but getting to LC I guess it was a little rougher. -
Rachel's Las Caletas Review/ Wedding Recap
jajajaja replied to jajajaja's topic in Destination Wedding Reviews
Oh I would love too but I hope I have the money. My family just started to throw out ideas for a group trip to Fiji or Grand Cayman. Yesterday, my aunt was calling everyone to find out possible dates. I'm not sure when this will be, but if we can afford it, I'd love to do both!! -
Oh my goodness. What is wrong with these kids? Seriously, I'm afraid to find out what kind of adults they will be. At 16, they should have a strong understanding of right and wrong. It's just scary that they thought it was ok. No wonder why they are messed up- they have moms that think it's ok to watch and not do anything to stop it!

Reasons I regret asking my sister to be my MOH (LONG vent)
jajajaja replied to Maura's topic in Just venting or funnies
I don't think it's really the "age" factor but more the lifestyle factor. For example, some of you girls are 22 and in that mature partnership zone. I hope I wasn't self centered, but when I was 22 I wanted nothing to do with marriage. I was a single girl having fun and I remember my attitude back then was that I didn't understand why people settled down when they were still young. Of course, my attitude has changed some, but I can kinda understand how weddings/marriage can be such a foreign thought to those who aren't even close to taking that step. I don't want to make excuses for Maura's sister because I totally think as a SISTER she needs to improve her attitude even if she is in that stage where weddings aren't a big deal. Just wanted to explain how it's not really the age, but more the mindset. I have a 27 yr old cousin that acts like a 22 yr old. She's not even close to settling down and since college, we have kinda gone in different directions. She thinks I'm an old lady and I think she's too wild. -
Oh my goodness- you all are so tiny! Seriously, that is motivation for me to get to the gym. From my calculations based upon your progression pics, I'm about 20-21 weeks pregnant. Awesome! Anny- we will be thinking about you come Sunday! Rest up and relax.

Dress Sizing for BM dresses
jajajaja replied to Nrvsbride's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
My BMs dresses just had a plastic bag over them- much like the dry cleaners. However, they did have their names on them- not their sizes. Could you imagine- "We got a size 18 dress. Who's the 18?" I would seriously hide in the corner. No worries Glenda. I had to order my dress in a 16. I wanted to cry myself to sleep every night. It came in and it was too big. The day of the wedding I had a hard time getting it to fit on the top since it was a corset back. My sister had to lace me up so the sides touched eachother. If I had lost more weight there would have been no way to make it fit since it was as tight as it could go! Fortunately (ha!) I gained four pounds on the honeymoon. It probably fits perfect now. -
Marla's Las Caletas wedding review
jajajaja replied to MarlaB's topic in Destination Wedding Reviews
Hmm- I thought it was cool that they took them on a scenic route and showed them Los Arcos. But after talking to my grandma, I kinda wish they wouldn't have. My grandpa had a really hard time motating over to the ceremony site. He has a bad hip and can't walk that fast. And then everyone complained that they had to go to the bathroom after drinking on the boat and couldn't. They didn't realize they were late until Nicole came running up. Oh well- but for future brides that have slower moving guests, I would almost recommend them not doing the "scenic" route. -

Now you will always have to dress up and celebrate Halloween. You could wear your dress every year and always be a bride! You should get a day of the dead bride and groom cake topper. I saw one on a cake recently it was cool. If interested let me and I will try to find the pic.

Awww- I can't wait for more photos. I love the ultrasound Christine! That's amazing. I haven't had any pregnant friends so I haven't seen a 3D one. Angela- I didn't know you were pregnant! Congrats! So exciting. Sorry about the bad day though- sounds frightening! Sarah- you're pregnant too? My goodness- BDW babies everywhere! I hope the morning sickness gets better soon for you all. It sucks to feel sick anytime.

I'm guessing it wasn't THAT bad, but inquiring minds want to know (and see pics). There wasn't a steamer at the hotel and they could send it out to get steamed but I didn't trust to get it back. As I was ironing all the groom's and best man's outfits I thought "hmm...maybe I should try to steam the dress out with the iron." So I began to steam the dress- worked out ok. I was nearly done and I accidentally touched the lace overlay with the iron and melted/scorched a hole in it. It was one spot about a dime size and another between a nickel or quarter in size. I freaked out- started to panic. Wanted to show Steve the hole, but I also didn't want him to see the dress since I didn't let him see it for nearly a year. I told him what I did and started to cry. He reassured me a little then called my mom to come look. My mom couldn't believe how stupid I was so she called my sister to share the story. My sister came over and they both made fun of me for a bit. Then they both reassured me it wasn't that bad since it was on the upper butt area and no one would notice. I don't know if they meant no one would notice because it was small or no one would notice because they wouldn't be looking at my butt. I just decided to get over it and have a attitude. It was easier to make jokes about it than to cry about it. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures of it. I should have, but I didn't. Who knows- maybe I will have a lot of pictures of it if it shows up on film. hehe I've emailed my photog to find out when I get pics back. Haven't heard from her but my contract says 3 weeks. According to my calculations, one more week. -

Danielle, are you having a halloween themed wedding or is it just coincidental? I love halloween! Dress up is so fun.
